Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is desperate to keep hold Spanish starlet Oriol Romeu.

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has signalled his desire to keep hold of Oriol Romeu and says the Spanish starlet will feature more regularly this season.
Romeu, who joined the club from Barcelona in 2011, has managed just one Premier League start this term.
Recent reports have hinted that Espanyol and Valencia are looking to bring him back to Spain in a bid to give him the first-team football he craves, but Di Matteo has vowed to use him more often in the future.
Di Matteo said: "Oriol Romeu is a young talent with great prospects, he's been playing a bit more lately and will in the future.

That took a while for RDM to realise he needs to use the benched people aswell cause he is a HUGE talent, and he wil obviously wanna move away from SFB if he dont get playing time. I think its disrespectful from RDM side not using Romeu when he is just as good as Mikel if not better, he just needs more games than one every third month so he can get in shape and actually show how good and talented he is. And it is not like Mikel dont need a rest either, theres alot of people in our squad that needs rest like: Ramires,Mikel,Mata,Oscar,Hazard,Torres most of them has played 17-18 games out of 19 without getting taken out of the game.
Hopefully RDM now chose to use the squad more so we arent dead tired every match, so we finally can roll over the teams like in the start of the season again and win some CL games.

Chelsea prepared to spend big in January and the summer in order to bolster their attacking options.

January Transfers:

Out - Florent Malouda (Anji)

In - Fernando Llorente (Atletico Bilbao)

Summer Transfers:

Out - Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid)

In - Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid), Nelson Oliveria (Benfica)

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Would love to see Llorente here but i have my doubt, he is a reliable goal scorer in spain and is used to playing this sort of passing game and can give us some much needed height in our attack.
On top of that he only have 6 months left and therefor would be quite cheap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus don't forget we also have Lukaku back, 4 very capable strikers in Falcao, Olivera, Llorente and Lukaku

Ed002 I've just seen on the LFC page, that you've said Inter have decided to step away from a possible move for Paulinho. I think you had previously said both Milan clubs were interested in the player, and a move for him would be a lot easier for sides in Italy, due to third party ownership. Was their a reason for Inter to lose interest, or have they just moved onto other players? Are we continuing to monitor the player, or has our interest also dropped?

Thanks in advance

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Inter baulked at the price being asked by Corinthians but they did make a proposal that would have resulted in them only taking partial ownership - this was seemingly acceptable to the club but not the player. Right now their interest has moved to other potential players.}

Hopefully we move for this boy!!

I really hope we sign Paulinho, best defensive midfielder for sale atm and Ramires has been playing with him in pivot for brazil team. Aswell as Oscar, Luiz has played with him all the time too. And i think without a doubt he wants to join Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paulinho is crazy good and i hope he join chelsea, it would give our pivot more speed and quick passes up to the attacks so it wont be slowed down like it is now.

I am already X my fingers for him to join, he is Chelsea starting player quality where Mikel is squad player quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does Chelsea still maintain intrest in him?
Cause i rate him as one of the best Defensive midfielders we can get our hands on in the world, and i really really hope he joins.

Duus. {Ed002's Note - Interest in Paulino remains from Inter MIlan, Chelsea, PSG, AC Milan and Juventus. A move to CSKA Moscow was also rejected by the player who has declared that he does not want to play in Russia. With a large percentage of his rights held outside the club a move to Italy could be much easier to arrange than a move to England. In the short-term, I would doubt he will leave Corinthians just yet.}

Ed002, would it be a fair assumption that a bid for Bony will be made in January?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - It would be a fair assumption.}

Thanks again. Slowly learning to decipher your hints.

Ed you expect the deal to go through? Will our links with Vitesse make the deal easy to negotiate? CrookyM {Ed002's Note - Whether anything happens or not is a whole different matter. The club are looking towards buying forwards but will not be held to ransom and will not buy for the sake of buying. A number of players have been looked at and are continuing to be looked at. However, other clubs are looking at forwards as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed are you saying forwards as more than one ? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Falcao to Chelsea is on. All but signed. Fee and contracts all agreed. Not sure if it will be confirmed before January but do not doubt this. It's happening. Falcao and Wallace both joining in January. 100%.

Believable8 Unbelievable11

You are a little misguided I am guessing. Firstly, if you are going to make such a bold statement, sign your posts, so we can remind you, you were wrong. Wallace is 100%, I'm well aware of that, but Falcao?

It is extremely unlikely the bloke will sign in January. I personally thought he was a lock as well, however it is far from the truth. He is playing at a club 2nd in the league in Spain. A club that is riddled with debt. If they manage to qualify for Champions League that is 20m+ in their accounts instantly. If we were to buy in January we would be paying at least 45m, I personally feel we would be held to ransom and 55m+ would be needed.

We will no longer spend that kind of money in January, if we can acquire a target in the summer for 15m less. It doesn't make sense financially, and we are slowly attempting to get back in the black.

That's long before taking into consideration third party ownership, which is a massive stumbling block for English teams. We can all live in hope, but we must also be realistic.

Great response Melbourne CFC, truly passionate, and 100% correct. I still feel a deal could be struck in January, but its far from 100%

AM have played 4 games in the Europa. Falcao has not played any mins of these games! Still eligible for the CL! Something is happening!! DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

He is still eligible for the champions league

Agree0 Disagree0

Falcao could have played every minute of every Europa League game....he'd still be eligible for a CL club. Whilst
I'd love to see Falcao join Chelsea,
I think the most realistic time for him to move would be the end of the season, nt in January. Best case scenario, for me, would be to agree a deal with Atletico Madrid and get the transfer wrapped up with Falcao joining us in the summer.

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have I said he is not eligible for CL? It wouldn't matter if Athletico were in the CL either. If they were knocked out by the time we bought him, we could still register him to play.

BTW Courtious hasn't played a minute of European football either for Athletico this year. Will he also be returned? It's called squad rotation. They have been resting their better players, during the group stages.

Morning ed. is Hazard's achilles injury likely to keep him out of action this weekend? I know he wasn't risked for Belgium against Romania, and was wondering if you knew of how severe of a issue it is.

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - There are a number of players to be checked today to see if they will be available tomorrow. Hazard is one, Luiz another.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Thanks Ed002. Appreciate it
