Have Chelsea put in a £30 Million Offer for Higuain, and do you think its likely that he will join the Blues? Thanks Ed! {Ed002's Note - No; it is possible.}

Ed, don't know if you are watching the Europa League at the minute, but I have to say, Nathan Redmond of Birmingham looks fantastic, only 17, Right or Left Winger, quick and skillful, producing wonderful crosses and has a accurate and powerful shot. AVB clearly is looking in the long-term with transfers so would it be plausible to say we may have some kind of interest in him? I know its a bit hopeful so if you say none at all I will understand. Thanks for all the very hard work Ed and a very Merry Christmas to you.
CFCFOREVER! {Ed002's Note - I really know nothing of the kids football but you seem to have contracted MOTD Fever. It'll wear off late Fraiday but there may be a relapse after 10 on Saturday night. Let's assume there is no interest. And have a good holiday period.}

hi ED(S) just wondering is obi mikel available to move on, if the right offer becomes available, or is he in AVB long term plans!? iv seen a lot of talk about anelka,kalou,drogba moving on but unless iv missed it, nothing about obi mikel.....

also this may sound a silly thing to ask but do you think AVB is the long term manager for chelsea? i guess im paranoid with the chelsea hierarchy and there track record of fiering managers pretty quick! guess im wondering will he be given time to put his stamp on things, as in reality we probly havent the squad to win trophys like seasons gone bye....id love to see him succeed at chelsea because i rate him quite highly! if you dont feel comfortable answering this i understand because im probley being quite naive and dont propley understand how things work! thanks in advance JACK! {Ed002's Note - John Obi will be moving on at some point. AVB has a contract at Chelsea and there is nothing at this time tos ay that he will not see it out.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I suppose its not AVB we should be concerned about, more romans revolving door attitute with managers! hope he has realised stability is the way foward! with the right man in charge of cause, and i belive AVB is that man! {Ed002's Note - Perhaps you don't understand what has happened with the various managers, but you are wrong to put the blame on Mr Abramovich totally.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right i dont no why the previous managers under RA reign have got the elbow, would be intrested to know why if you have any info on that tho! but watever the resason you have to admit its to many, weather there guilty of sacking to many or simply hireing the wrong ppl its not the way foward in my opinion! again i agree its not all roman, im sure theres a few big personalitys in the board room......

CHELSEA are preparing a £30m offer for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The London club are ready to move in January in a bid to boost their strike force. Rookie boss Andre Villas-Boas has severe concerns over misfiring hitman Fernando Torres.

And there is still a chance that Didier Drogba could follow Nicolas Anelka out of the Stamford Bridge door.

Villas-Boas will do everything he can to hold onto Drogba but he considers 24-year old Higuain to be a perfect back-up, or even a replacement as the Ivory Coast striker gets ready to go off to the African Nations Cup with Salomon Kalou.

There has been no official contact between Chelsea and Real Madrid over a possible transfer. But it is understood that the Blues have made their interest known.

Higuain is also being chased by mega-rich French club Paris St Germain who are interested in the former River Plate star.

Higuain is fed up at playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema at Madrid and being left on the sidelines by boss Jose Mourinho.

A source close to the player said: “Higuain is unhappy at being left out all of the time. He wants to fight for the title but was on the bench against Barcelona at the weekend when Real lost 3-1 and he knows where his place is now.

“He would be interested in what people have to say to him.”

Villas-Boas had originally targeted the summer for a move for the striker, but with Anelka agreeing a move to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, and Drogba and Torres’ futures up in the air, he has been forced to bring that forward.

What are your thoughts on this ed?

Hey Ed is Hamsik a serous target and could we sway Napoli to let him leave or is he happy at Napoli. Also I've read that Chelsea are sending scouts everywhere and that we haven't been this active (scouting wise) for years, do you know or what players/positions are currently being scouted most. {Ed002's Note - There is a slim chance that Hamsik could move this winter - perhaps Manchester City and AC Milan would be the likely choices but I doubt it. As for the rest I have no idea what you have been hearing but perhaps it was on Twitter.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I highly doubt we would sign hamsik in january as he would be cup tied in champs league ...

Barcelona closing in on 2 Chelsea youngsters Sam Monjack and Charlie Colkett, the two are said to be very technically gifted, whilst Man City are reportedly after Conor Hunte, very powerful player.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

From what i have seen Sam is more defensive minded, although skillful, whilst charlie is more attacking minded, and scores more.

Are Chelsea interested in Cavani? He is a very good player who i think can lead Chelsea's front line! {Ed002's Note - Yes but it is all wrapped in with the Higuain situation. It is very likely Cavani will end up at Madrid at some point.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Well in that case Higuain would probably be the next best option. {Ed002's Note - He is right now the best option but it is not just one striker the club needs. Davila's progress is uninspiring and I guess he may eventually slot in as a squad player - but eventually. Nic Anelka has gone, Kalou will probably go, Drogba we don't know - if he is smart he will sign the deal on the table. Torres is having a tough time. So a refresh is needed. Vargas looks promising but he is still considering his options and work permit issues still remain. I suspect by August we will see some changes to the forwards.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Nooooo hell, I want Cavani instead Higuain. I dont velive all this crap about Higuain coming to Chelsea. Higuain will stay at Real Madrid... hope so! Cavani is dozen times better!

Agree0 Disagree0

All the two are very good players any team would want to sign.....but i still mentain that our priority is to sign one more creative player (Midfielder or winger) to complement Mata then these forwards being mentioned will florish otherwise i see them struggling like Torres.......
The two player mentioned are surrounded by creative player in R.Madrid and Napoli who by far are technically gifted that Lampard, Malouda, Kalou, Mikel etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed,

I dont understand why are we after Higuian when RM are trying to get rid of him?(Given his age and goal scoring record) Is there any other injury which is making them sell Higuian? Or some other manager-player issue? Why are we buying him when RM wants to get rid of him? {Ed002's Note - I think something may have got lost in translation. To transfer a player (e.g. Higuain), agreement needs to be reached between the selling club (Real Madrid) and the buying club (Chelsea). If you question is "Why are Real Madrid selling Higuain?" then it would have been a lot easier to ask that.}
