but times are tough for us at the moment.
IF we just signed hazard and modric the lift of every fan will have that fighting spirit agin.
I mean NO TEAM WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IF THEY START KALOU.

Bosingwa seems to be lost in the ground sometimes.
He has lost his form after his injury, what we suppose. {Ed018's Note - there is nothing new with Neymar except that Santos want more money for him and possibly want him to be able to stay at Santos for another year. I think Chelsea are gonna stick with Bosingwa and Ivanovic for right back this season.}

Ed who do you think we are more likely to get and who do you think would be better for us, nasri or modric {Ed018's Note - I expect Nasri to end up at City, there may be another bid for Modric coming from Chelsea. I think they would both help us out}

I just hope our top bass were watching Man City game tonight. Having ONE Aguero would be more efficient than having all of our forwards combined. Ok, maybe not all, but he has scored twice as many goals in half an hour, that Torres in Half a season. What scares me is we keep on stockpiling those industrial types and still searching for more, when we have zero flair and creativity. I am a fan of Chelsea since 1998, and i haven't seen us this short of ideas as last season. Ok Stoke at Britania will be tough to anyone, but have we improved our squad since last year?
We are setting bar for AVB to win titles? But with whom? He's an intelligent man and says exactly what Carlo said when he arrived - i don't need anyone we are good enough. Well, - we were, because United were poor. But look where Both Manchester teams have gone in the last couple of years talent-wise and where are we? And where are we heading? And i stopped expecting the CL, has anyone seen the changes to Barca and Real sides? Not to mention the local improvement in to clubs. Sorry for being pessimistic, but it is just frustrating.

Torres needs side(forwards) and back(in the mid) support..
he is a wonderful finisher as we all know and had a wonderful game against Stoke.
all it counts is a Goal though..
With some hard lucks and countless support from forwards and a left winger; days are running hard for him..
we all should expect the happy days ahead...

I so very much hope we are interested in MVilla. From what i saw in few of his games he is such a promising talent. And by the look of our midfield, would instantly start in the centre. We need this type of dedicated motoring midfielder. Essien was this kind of player while at his prime.
Also i hope we are interested in Hazard.

Auxerre were playing Marseille so it more than likely could well be one of their players we were looking at..

This transfer window is becoming tiresome, indeed. So the manager says he needs a winger and a midfielder. Therefor we come up guessing and assuming it could be Neymar and Sneijder, or DiMaria and Modric. But by the look of our squad and certain identity to it, i would unfortunately expect the likes of Alvaro Perreira and Fernando to be the actual targets.

anyone else think Drogba could do the job ou wide? Good pace, good skill and a fantastic crosser of the ball I think the only thing preventing this could be his attitude when asked to play this role
I think torres could play on the left but i doubt we would get much use out of drogba in that position.
I also believe he could do a good job on the right of the forward 3. He's the best crosser of the ball at the club. I'm sure a place on the right would be preferable to him than a place on the bench
I agree.AVB used hulk on the right for Porto, who used to play through the middle and drogba would be really good from the left, with sturridge on the right. I think the media obsession and willing Torres to fail last year blinded most of the fact that the wingers are not upto scratch and are functional rather than creative. Mata would be fantastic and he could play in a similar position to that which David Silva does for city and he would get the best out of Torres and would cost 20-25m with reasonable wages

hey ed, villas-boas has come out and said that he wants to sign a creative midfielder and a winger. Who is the most probable signings? It doesn't matter if your wrong. {Ed002's Note - Sorry, I am not going to guess. I have explained which players have interested the club - there is no way I am going to open myself up to abuse by guessing at which deals can be completed and whether or not an injury can be overcome.}

as good as neymar is i would say going for lucas o sao paulo would be a better bet with lucas piazon coming in january we may have a good relation with sao paulo and though we cant make assumptions that their friends the two may help each other settle in (though piazon is not first team)

I know alot being said about players not performing and shouldn't be wearing the shirt but thoughts to John Obi mikel who's father has been abducted and he was told before Sunday's game bit still wanted to play and not let his team Mates down,
Well said, abuse of our players is never welcome from so called fans and I'm sure all true fans wish John obi and his father all the best in this trying time
He is a class act and i was really impressed with his performance, i wish him and his family well and i hope his father is returned safely.

Why the 30 year old lucho? More likely valbuena maybe? Good winger... or maybe ayew?
Just an opinion really, could see him as a useful player to have in the squad, we have looked at Lucho in the past, he's potentially available and he would fit into the system at Chelsea well, very similar player to Lamps but as you say he's 30. So maybe not. Would be surprised if it was Valbuena, very lightweight, would have thought he was more Mr Wenger's cup of tea. Could be Ayew, would be an interesting signing, could play on the left hand side up front and age is on his side but not sure if there is or has ever been any interest in him. At this point if we aren't going to sign Modric etc. its important to bring in players who can create a few more options for ABV in certain areas of the pitch. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I heard Turan has signed with Atletico - is this true? So thats him out of the equation. Am i right in saying Mata, Neymar and Hazard are all targets?
For the creative mid, I really hope we continue pushing for Modric.

we need a right winger, ramires is good but hes not a right winger, yesterday was boring as usual, we played better football under ranieri, torres is so lightweight, which i said when he was playing for liverpool, why do we always play 451 or 433, i know its supposed to be in fashion but we need a partnership up front like the old days

I wasn't sure about Man of the Match, I thought Alex, Ramires and Bosingwa all could have got it too. Might just be me, though. But Torres looked really good considering his pretty apparent lack of confidence and drive only a few months ago.
