Eds, if our transfer ban remains, can we buy players and loan them out until our ban is over?

Could we do what (If I remember correctly) Athleti did with costa and buy someone but not register them and just have them train with the club then? Just our of interest. Also is the registering that we cannot do different from the registering for competitions then? Sorry for the stupid question Ed, just curious.
{Ed002's Note - The "registering" is notification of the transfer to FIFA via the TMS. Chelsea, if banned, cannot register new players for the duration of the ban - it is really, really simple to understand and I am surprised folks are struggling to understand this.}

Ok, thanks Ed. Was just curious if we had any sort of workarounds that we could be following to be honest. Was hoping it wasn’t as simple as it sounded haha.
