If Torres is to go Malaga are interested and would be willing to pay £25 million, sell him and use lukaku whilst drogba's away in African Cup Of nations?

Believable1 Unbelievable16

Lukaku at present is far from good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku I'd player for future and has o my played about half hour in prem league. Bit much sticking him in team and putting all that pressure on him. Keep Torres and when kalou Anelka And drog all away or leftin January bring in a striker like higauin or hulk.

Ed, i just want to know if madrid will be willing to sell higuain to chelsea in january(there is a rumour that he is been offered to us) {Ed002's Note - There is no schedule to any deal.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Ed you told me to ask you today about the fee for higuain remember not the tax or agent fees or add ons just like say 50 mill torres. did u have any luck with that ed ? cheers m8 ! {Ed002's Note - Time is my problem. But in simple terms people tend to forget the VAT that has to be paid, the agents fees and the tax on the agents fees. Then to get a better understanding of the true cost of a player you need to add the wages and insurance for the length of the contract.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I no that ed i just thought you may have an idea of how much real would take for the player like liverpool 50 mill for torres newcastle 35 mill for carrol and madrid how much for higuain? i dont meen to be a pest i just like transfer fees i could tell you the top 10 of all time almost to the mill .lol {Ed002's Note - Assume about 45M euro and a commitment not to bid on Cavani.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ed your a gentleman

Agree0 Disagree0

Part of a deal for Higuain is not to bid for Cavani, that is amazing. {Ed002's Note - It happens all of the time, but may not be acceptable of course.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I rate Cavani, i'm not so sure about Higuain's confidence at the minute, the last thing we need is two strikers playing with no confidence. However, Higuain is still a quality striker and maybe that is the direction that AVB is looking at. {Ed002's Note - I really don't see Cavani as one of the strikers who will be bought in. I think he will go to Real Madrid in the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The fee for higuain is 35 million {Ed002's Note - That was not the number discussed between the clubs - but may be close to what Chelsea may decide to offer - if they do.}

Ross Barkley to Chelsea? I have been hearing rumours on and off since the start of the season linking us with him and i was wondering if there was any truth in it? It seems plausible to me, a young and gifted midfielder, could be part of AVBs long term plan?

So have you heard from within the club any news on the Torres situation? I get the feeling from your replies you know something regarding his intentions? {Ed002's Note - The situation is just as I have explained it. There is no "for sale" sign, but if he is not performing well and cannot get in to the team and wants to move on something may be facilitated at some point. Certainly there is no £20M figure or anything like that. With Anelka effectively already gone and Drogba and Kalou away in January it seems unlikely that unless another striker comes in that Torres will remain for a while.}

Ed, reports say that Torres is unhappy at the club. Do you know if he wishes to leave? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - He is not performing well and cannot get in to the team. If an opportunity arises elsewhere and a club make an acceptable offer it will suit all parties.}

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Why did Chelsea just release a statement saying he was going nowhere then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed do you expect Torres to leave in January then? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know. As I said last night, Chelsea have not put the player up for sale. However, if the player is struggling to find form and not getting in the side, the club will be open to listening to offers as it may suit everyone.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think they'd sell to a PL rival Ed002 or abroad only?

rpc {Ed002's Note - If and when he is sold Chelsea will not care where he goes.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 wouldnt it be quite stupid to let him go in January, with drogba going to ACN, he could get a run for some games without the presure from Drogba to find his form? {Ed002's Note - Refer to earlier answers.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres is going nowhere!! He will get his chance in January and will be suites to the way Chelsea are playing towards...
Usual speculative b****cks from ED002 who again is non committal with any of his comments! {Ed002's Note - I am glad to see you eventually managed to drag your knuckles off the floor long enough to abuse me.}

Ed,
Is Chelsea interested in samuel Ameobi ? {Ed002's Note - Where do you get this stuff from?}

Its just been announced on Talk Sport. A statement from Chelsea WE ARE NOT selling Torres. Now or in the future.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Where exactly? I can't find no record of a statement, not on the Talksport website, nowhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont believe it...so your club will stick with torres, in the most crucial period of the season. while drogba is away at AFCON and anelka and alex are being sold?

I think chelsea are going to go after 1-2 strikers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Talks**te don't believe a word they say...

If enough money is offered, he'll be sold. fact.

ED02 The mail is reporting Torres will be up for sale for as much as £20 mil in January is this true? {Ed002's Note - As you have been told previously, if a player wants to move on that is fine and obviously the club will be willing to let him go. I had no idea he was "up for sale" rather than the club simply being open to discussing offers though.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

It seems odd to me that they would be willing to let him go in January considering that Drogba, Kalou and Anelka will all be away or have been sold. I do not understand only having Sturridge and Lukaku as strikers, unless Vargas and Higuain are coming in? Leaving ourselves with so few strikers would be a huge mistake.

hi ed002 thanks for the vargas update. is azpilicueta the only right back we are looking at atm or are there others? thanks {Ed002's Note - VDW if the move to Valencia falls through. RB may be a summer addition rather than January.}

With Higuain being offered to Chelsea, do you think that, first of all, Chelsea will actually bid for him (if I am not mistaken, he was a target), and also that the player would be interested in playing for Chelsea? Thanks
