I have no idea whether you will have any insight in to this but I thought I would enquire regardless.
How much would Eto'o cost in terms of transfer fees, compared to say Rooney?
Also, do you think he would demand the same or similar wages to the gargantuan ones he is reportedly on at Anzhi?

Wasnt eto worlds highest payed player a few year back they can keep and him

Etoo wants 1 last payday, he's half the player he was 6 years ago, please don't sign him

Well according to the ed I posted about etoo few days back and ed said he defo would not be coming I think ed is about to have egg on his face as etoo is a strong possibility

Can you comfirm us that we are not interested in eto
He is expensive
He is 32
Never played in PL
So it will be waste of money

Odemeingie would be better option then him atleast he got PL experience and very cheap

Or re sign drogba

My main question here was to ask if rumours about eto are true or not

Also
Any update on wayne rooney?
Do we have any realistic chance of signing him?

So what if Eto'o is 32? He's a great player and could do a job for us for 2 seasons maybe, and he's got a great relationship with Jose.

Drogba was older than that when he won us the champions league!

He wouldn't be my preferred choice but i'd sooner have Eto'o over Ba and Torres. If our striking options were Rooney, Eto'o and Lukaku rather than Torres, Ba and Lukaku i'd be a very happy boy. -James13.

I think it's more Eto'o wants to play for Chelsea, than Chelsea want Eto'o.

I'd have snapped up Eto'o 4/5 years ago, not now. I know it's just press reading more in to a small snippet of an interview (like the one posted above) and I'm sure Anzhi wouldn't mind moving on a 32 year old on 300k a week!

Yes he is 32 but he has a lot of experience and won the champions league 3 times, and would apprantley take wages of about £75k a week and on a free transfer,

We need a goal scorer and he undoubtedly scores goals. He wouldn't be hugely expensive and it seems that he's available. Looks like a good fit to me.

has scored better than a goal every 2 games in 3 different leagues for well over 5 years. he can play false 9 which none of our other options can do.

'False 9' implies no striker. Eto'o is definitely a striker. And why would we want to play all this rubbish 'false 9' anyway? We're not Barca, Spain OR Bayern.

It's about having options and breaking teams down that park the bus, playing between the lines which none of our current strikers can do. Lukaku is the only one who can score regularly btw

Ed001 commented that Real madrid has indicated that Modric, Khedira and coentrao are availlable this summer. I have some questions.
1. What was the outcome of khedira's talks and chelsea representatives?
2.Does chelsea has interest in modric? I know our midfield is well covered but just curious
3. Coentrao would be a good addition to our defence. Is there interest from chelsea?
