I also find it a bit odd we're linked with Alvaro Perreira, cause of the quality we have at left back, but I have noticed for his old clubs he has played in midfield (although at porto he's been a left-back for the last 2 years) but if AVB fancies using him in midfield he's be a natural replacement for Zhirkov.

Also, who do you reckon the "unnamed player" is that's rumoured to be part of the deal (my guess is Bosingwa, freeing up room for us to sign a better right-back)

I think we should've signed Suarez, he looks lethal, do you agree ED?

Do we fans have to wait till midnight, 30th August to see the new signings (if any)?

We can wait till that to see new players but please please can't wait that long to see our dull players like Anelka, Kalou, Maloda, Mikel all staying with the blues.

Isn't there any way to convey this message to AVB? {Ed002's Note - AVB is, fortunately, not so easily influenced.}

We may well have to wait until the last few days/hours and you clearly dont have a clue about football if you think the players listed are dull.
Didnt they win a double and break PL goalscoring or doesnt that count ?

So you r only counting something they did a season back..
but not what they did the last season, that we lost under our nose..
I am sorry I didn't have a clue and congratulations to you for being such a great fan who still thinks, a group players who are not even that comfortable playing according to our manager's plan..
He says we have problems in the midfield and we great fans say he doesn't have a clue..

ED018 OR ED002 2 Italian newspaper's and 1 spanish newspaper are confirming that Chelsea have contacted Juan Mata's father and his agent in the last 2-3 days do you have any knowlegde of this

Seems they have but are reluctant to pay the 30 mil euros do you think he may be a player we make a push for ED? {Ed002's Note - I am not convinced at this time.}

Hi Ed, i know you posted earlier that you don't know about any Modric offer. But wouldn't it be to our advantage with Spurs not playing now for almost 10 days to strike now. He has already stated after the friendly in Ireland that he still wants to come. And did you mention earlier that Lukaku is training with the first team?? Why would he if the deal isn't done. {Ed018's Note - the deal is about done, he trained two days in a row.}

The deal for Modric is nearly done you say ed?? {Ed001's Note - Lukaku he said.}

Ed is kevin de bruyne an almost definite to come in? If not this summer but in january?

does AVB really know what hes doing??? he said in his first press conference how he likes to attack and excite?? well where are these exciting players?? were still stuck with malouda, kalou, anelka...there is no pace or flair in our side and unless we offload to bring in were guna struggle i think.....real shame Sturridge is banned for 3 games coz hes in good form....as for Torres?? mmmmmm we shall see

There nothin wrong with all of our strikers,the problem is they have no support or creativity

AVB has made it clear we will be brining in midfielders, he has stated the squad is good enough for the Stoke game, not the rest of the season; with all due respect to Stoke, Anelka, Malouda and Kalou etc. should be able to see off Stoke.

I really hope Chelsea now make a move for Thiago Alacantara, he now has alot of competition for places at Barcelona especially now that Fabregas and Sanchez have both signed this season. AVB is a huge fan and likes players who are versatile which Thiago is he can play any attacking role LAM< CAM>RAM. I no hes just signed a contract extension but that was because Barcelona didnt want someone bidding 10m euros to activate his release clause. I really think there is a possibility to go for the player who in my opinion will be one of the best attacking midfielders in 2 years. Either he or Ganso should be our top priorities especially if the Luka Modric saga is unsuccessful. ED is there any official or interest in the player that you no of? & do u highly rate the player? Thanks {Ed018's Note - he's a young player with tons of potential. im sure he draws interest from many teams, i just don't see him leaving Barca}
