Which striker do you think would fit best into the Chelsea team Ed?

Either Falcao, Cavani, Lewandowski or Neymar {Ed018's Note - Falcao hands down is the best center forward in the world right now, i do like Neymar but i'm not sure if playing center forward in the EPL is whats best for him}

No doubt that if we sign Falcao he will fall victim to the chelsea striker curse!

Couldn't agree more Falcao is the safer option wouldn't mind lewandowski as second choice because I think he and Torres could compete together. Still feel as if we need an experienced holding mid like De Rossi, Vidal or Schweinsteiger what do you think ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be very happy with any one of Cavani, Lewandowski or Falcao; with the latter being the best of the three. The new contract Cavani signed in the summer makes a move for him unlikely - despite the fact his fantastic goal scoring record has continued into this season. Lewandowski would still be a very good addition, and would score goals.

As for Neymar, I just don't think he would be at his best in the Premier League; certainly not as a striker. Maybe as an attacking midfielder, but that would be an expensive risk when you consider the talent we already have there anyway.

I personally don't think we'll look at a new central midfielder until next summer, when exits and loan returns can be assessed and what we need can be examined in full detail.

Ed 002, Do you expect Neymar to leave next summer or after the world cup 2014? Cheers! DJ {Ed002's Note - I don't know what will happen right now. Clubs have gotten to the point that they are not willing to be screwed around any longer. A significant take it or leave it offer was put on the table by one club this summer. It doesn't matter which club, but it was clear that there was going to be no immediate acceptance of the bid.}

i think and ed002 will agree with me on this one that if falcao comes to chelsea he won't be coming in winter...we will have to wait for the summer to land him....well now he is like 26-27 and paying his asking price next year would be a little doggy even though he is one hell of a striker.........now my main question is that shouldn't chelsea prioritize someone like neymar before falcao as he would be a future prospect and with the Brazilian contingent that we have and if we win some trophies(may be one of cl or pl) we will have one hell of a chance to land him......views...anybody??

Naymar all the way for me! Falcao will not fit into our team aswell as Neymar, and like you said there's a 6 year age difference. If both were to flop at least we could get more money back for Neymar than we would Falcao. DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Neymar's not an out and out striker though he drifts too far wide if you've actually seen him play if you want a out an out striker it's either Falcao, Cavani or Lewandowski.

NO, falcao would fit, plus it's between us, CITY and PSG. If we miss out, it will strengthen City's chances for the BPL, our closest competitors this season and perhaps next, so with a player of Falcao's level and a guy that has his ability, he's not lightning quick now, just strong and extremely intelligent, so he will be like drogba, effective until 33/34. Paying the £50m will get us a good 6/7 years out of Falcao, being a world class striker. Plus who knows what happens in January, stranger things have happened.

hi ed whats the current situation with marin he made a brief apperence agaisnt wolves but hasnt even made the bench since then? is he fit or has he picked up another injury? {Ed002's Note - He is available for selection.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

It is because DI matteo always have 90% defensive players on the bench if you did not notice :)

Ed 002 I think you said that the club were looking at replacements for Essien ?
Do you know who they are considering/watching currently?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Options are fairly open right now. I understand there are several possibilities being considered.}

Can you name any names ed? Cheers! {Ed002's Note - After the abuse I got in the summer it really is not worth the grief to me to get too involved anymore.}

Ok ed, I hope Vidal is 1 that we're looking at! Him and ramires would be great together!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance Juve will part with Vidal & if they do he'll cost a fortune!

Hi ed do you know if either on the Bender brothers are being looked at? thanks {Ed061's Note - I wouldn't expect either to leave Germany any time soon. Both great players though.}
