Rondon has scored 25 goals in two seasons since joining Malaga and was watched by Chelsea scouts when playing for his country on Sunday, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
Is this true ed, were some people from Chelsea there to watch Rondon or were they there to watch Cavani since they did play against Uruguay?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I's suspect Cavani, purely because, although 25 goals sounds like a fair amount - if you look at the actual stats for last season I believe it was around 10 goals in 40 games. Personally I don't believe him to be a player who would warrant a place in the reserve team, let alone the first team. But who knows... We've made some pretty shoddy transfer decisions in the past!

Ash

Agree0 Disagree0

They played against Chile.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unamed read the post again

i think he knows who played

he was saying maybe the scouts were watching cavani as rondon was playing against him

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Rondon plays for Venezuela and they were playing against Chile so Cavani was not involved in the game because he's from Uruguay. So they couldn't be watching Cavani.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who knows then

Dzagoev supports Chelsea. Idol is Frank Lampard. Chelsea owned by a Russian. A Russian does the transfer dealings.

You Never Know!

Believable21 Unbelievable2

Been playing too much Football Manager by any chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure there has been interest in him in the past, not sure how much there is now. He looks decent but would he be physical enough for the prem?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dzagoev is an average player, we shouldn't buy him just because he is a Chelsea fan and is Russian

Agree0 Disagree0

I think his contract expires soon,prob free to talk in january,heard arsenal have watched him for the past 2 seasons ,could prob get him for close to 10 mill due to contract,i can see him going to italy for free in a years time

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute rubbish to say this kid supports Chelsea, no Russian players anywhere grew up supporting English clubs, and why would they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dzagoev is an average player, do you lot just google the scores and see his name on the score sheet then go off on one? We might as well bring back Shevchenko, scored twice against Sweden.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been quoted saying he supports Chelsea and he would love to play for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

I support Chelsea and would love to play for them too. Doesn't mean they should let me! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i dont care if he likes chelsea or not ,i only care about the quality of the player. Is it possible that he does? of course it is we are owned by a russian,We used to have the russian captain play for us and back in the day we had a Russian goalkeeper.

Battersea boy

Agree0 Disagree0

To say this kid does not support chelsea fc due to geographical location is b******s. Im sure there are millions of those in asia that would disagree with you whilst they don their man united shirts !!

hi eds, do u think chelsea would ever consider moving Ivanovic to right back permanently, releasing the ever aging Paulo Ferreira, signing a decent CB and buying a younger backup in Theoder Gebre Selassie, who to me has looked a good player at the Euro's for Czech Republic (maybe Petr could advise him) {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable0 Unbelievable7

That Czech republic lad is defending against Giorgios Samaras, need I say anymore?

Rich

Agree0 Disagree0

It's been stated on here multiple times that Ivanovic does not want to be a RB.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ivanovic prefers cb and hes made that very clear,

Agree0 Disagree0

He might prefer CB but he is without a doubt a better right back in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesnt matter that hes a better RB - what matters is hes not happy playing there. He wants to play CB but is happy to provide cover for RB. If we sign more CBs making it obvious hes not seen as an option there - but only at RB he may well leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

He can either be first choice right back, fourth choice centre back who covers for a new right back or leave...they're his options! Considering the fact he is clearly a better right back than centre back I know what I'd do if I was in his position!

Surewould

Agree0 Disagree0

But your not in his position surewould and to be honest im not sure you understand the situation properly

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

What's there to not understand?

He wants to play centre back!

He's a better right back!

There are three better centre backs already at the club!

Should we sign anew right back he'll either compete for a regular place there , and see a fair bit of game time, or warm the bench - but probably leave!

Am I missing something?

Surewould

I hate to say this but honestly, I think we should sell Torres. We've waited too long for him and shown him all the support and he can't score. We're not they type of club that can sit and wait for someone to start scoring goals for us when we should be challenging on all fronts. Cash in on Torres now and buy a prolific, confident, young striker like Edinson Cavani. Cavani will also pave the way for Romelu Lukaku as they have similar playing styles and that could create one of the most dangerous partnerships in the world and it would last close to a decade.

Believable12 Unbelievable12

And you call yourself a chelsea fan?
back your striker!
your just a plastic fan living on big names

Agree0 Disagree0

Painfully I think you're right although I don't think it will happen. If he fails again this season then yes I think he will have to go!
I am more confident in him this season though because in hazard, Mata, Marin and potentially hulk we have lots of creativity there that we've been missing for the last few years! I think if the creativity is there we may see some goals, if not then sell him sadly

Rich

Agree0 Disagree0

Yer he is, let's all remember Torres likes to be throw balled, our wingers and midfield had creativity last season other than mata, Torres will score at least 30 in all comps u wait, {Ed002's Note - I dread to think what "throw balled" is. Some sort of initiation ceremony?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I agree time to get rid of Torres,and don't dare call me a plastic fan though 47 years supporting the blues and counting!!

White wall.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Spain needs to sort out their mid field too, Torres needs a couple creative players behind him. I do hope he comes good though!

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to give him another year,drog liked the ball pumped at him he could push them
Off and break torres isnt like that he plays differantly hazzard plays nice balls and mata obviosly can too the sorta balls torres will latch onto nicley,
Fernando torres CHELSEAS number 9

Carefree

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly speaking although i love torres if he doesn't start performing we will need to buy in january, can't see many teams mwanting to buy him unless he starts scoring though

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not a plastic fan if ive been supporting the club for 17 years and my family has had season tickets here for longer... i've backed my striker for one and a half seasons and he's given the club nothing. We have to think realistically. If he doesn't get back in shape by january we have to move him on for the good of the club and its ambitions

Agree0 Disagree0

I mean if Torres cant score with the service he gets in the national side i.e. Xavi, Iniesta, David Silva, then what hope does he have of a comeback at Chelsea?
Realistically he has to really step his game up or be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

FT needs some good service provided to him hazard and marin should get him scoring again hopefully and if we sign hulk he would be a great player to help torres get back to his best again. chelseaforever.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about giving him a run in the first team? Can't expect a player to score reguarly when he hasn't had a run of games starting.

Rob.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha plastic fan

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree with the OP. 18 months is a long time to wait for a striker - who is supposidly world class - to click.

He struggles to score for Spain with all their creativity - and actuall watching the Spain game, it seems hes lost a yard of pace from his younger days which could well be why he is strugling (all those injuries at Liverpool !). Shevi was the same - played similarly - and both needed that initial burst of speed - both had lost it by the time they came to Chelsea.

Sell him and pick up Cavani or/and Falco.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hard to score when your sitting on the bench

give torres a break

look how bad drogba was for quite a few seasons at chelsea to be fair

but you all see him as a legend now (which is right)

just wait till next season he will score for fun

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres doesnt always get the creativity from spain let alone starting. Against italy he was making runs and i have had doubts but he i getting better and more comftable

With DROG gone he can now feel confident of his spot in the team. They are buying players to help him and this means he can play to his preffered style. We wont be lacking in goals with talent we have.

He scored against Barca. That shows there is talent inside of him he just needs to learn to produce it every game, Which he will JUST HOPE

JT

Agree0 Disagree0

All you slagging off Torres need to shut up and watch your mouth, hd scored twice for Spain last night and will score for us lots this coming season now we have built a more creative team

Hi Ed, are we still interested in Andre Schurrle? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - There is lingering interest from last year - I would not have too high expectations of him signing this summer.}

12 Jun 2012 15:18:21
Is it true Porto have offered Hulk a new contract in the hope of keeping him? {Ed002's Note - Sure, but he wants to leave.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

NO DOUBT PORTO JUST DOING THAT SO THAT CHELSEA UP THEIR BID TO MATCH THE ASKING PRICE FOR HIM.HOLDING OUT FOR MORE MONEY.

Any interest in Joai Periera from Portugal as a RB? {Ed002's Note - No. He has only just moved clubs.}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

12 Jun 2012 14:34:13
Hey Ed, if the hulk deal does go cold, do you think the club would consider Jesus Navras( excuse spelling). He is quality

Lunchbox {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Unless i am wrong there are issues with him getting homesick, which renders him unable to leave, i also think there were problems with this and him going on international duty e.g to the world cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe your right i think thats why he didnt end up going to the world cup

i dont think hes as good as hes been hyped up to be i may be wrong though

still a good player

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

His rating is only 85 on Fifa that says it all dosen't it?

caught offside claiming chelsea need to react fast to sign hulk because porto have offered him a new deal

yet hes already said he wants to leave porto and his preferred destination is chelsea.....

see what everyone means about caught offside being useless

Reports of Hulk transfer cooling are rubbish. He will sign.

12 Jun 2012 10:36:13
Hi ed, is there any interest in Malaga striker Rondon? It's a daily mail story so most probably rubbish, but thought I'd ask anyhow.

Thanks
NP {Ed002's Note - Rondon falls in to the Shurrle category of potential cover - I would not read too much in to it.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

12 Jun 2012 08:57:24
Hi Ed. if the Hulk deal dont happen, then who are possible alternatives? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - The main interest remains in Lucas Moura but any chance of making something happen there is slim.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Has all interest in Di Maria for the RW gone ed002? Does his situation with RM remain unchanged regarding his possible departure?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - If he becomes available for sale then Chelsea would still be interested. The only recent chances of him moving appear to be as part of another deal. So unlikely.}

Ed002: considering that we are interested in adding a striker and are interested in either Falcao, Cavani, Schurrle and maybe some other footballers not being mentioned in the press, - are there any negotiations with their reps or their respective clubs?

JG {Ed002's Note - It seems pretty hopeless me answering any questions if nobody bothers to read the answers. Chelsea have and interest in Cavani or Falcao as a striker - as has been stated on numerous occasions. The interest in Schurrle peaked last year but there remains some interest and should he become available there may well be a bid. There are always players being watched but it would be impossible to identify them all here.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ed002: you know i read the answers. And the questions as well. Here is what you have to say regqrding the following: Chelsea maintains an interest in Cavani and Falcao. And an interest in Schurrle dates back to last summer. I am not asking wherther we are interested. I'm asking are we doing anything to get any one of them to the club.

JG {Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you mean by "doing anything". The transfer window is not even open, players are away from their clubs, people are on vacation.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds I check this site a couple of times a day and can't seem to find a definite answer.
Are we still negotiating with Porto regarding hulk.
Also are we making any movements for cavani/falcao like making a bid or would that only depend on Torres moving on.
Lastly in your opinion how many players do you see us bringing in. {Ed002's Note - Chelsea maintain an interest in all of these players and there is no dependency on Torres. The situation with Hulk has been explained that there is a difference of opinion in terms of value.}
