Ed018, are Monaco really interested in Mikel or is it just paper talk?
Thank you in advance and keep up the good work!

I read the other day that they are not planning on spending again this window.
Obviously it is dangerous to believe everything you read but just though I would pass it along.

They said "unless there are other exciting opportunities"

And we all know how exciting Mikel is!

I think Yilmaz is quality and would be great at Chelsea either as a single striker or operating in a front 2. £20m is a good price.
Ronney clearly wants out of United and for £25m he would be a good acquisition.
This would give Chelsea 3 quality strikers in Lukaku, Rooney and Yilmaz.
Time to say goodbye to Ba and Torres, they are not capable of taking Chelsea to the next level

Torres will be revitalised this year under Mourinho - just like he gave Lamps the confidence to become one of the best midfielders in the world in 2004.

Liverpool will win the league long before Torres comes good

"Liverpool will win the league long before Torres comes good".
In all likelihood, neither will happen!

In my opinion Yilmaz alone would be a good signing, a quality goal scorer who would not come with the huge expectations of a player like Cavani or Rooney.

We'll happily take Ba off your hands here at Villa.

What does the price matter, I don't get this whole "player x will be a good signing for x amount" they will either improve us or they wont, the price shouldn't matter to fans.

Chelsea have on several occasions said they are looking to comply with FFP, hence prices are a concern.
If Chelsea spend £100m on new players then they will have to sell and perhaps someone they may have kept.
Or aren't you aware of all this

^^ I wouldn't expect FFP to be enforceable for another few years at least. Whilst the legal challenge may fail, they'll be appeals and the European courts won't allow FFP to happen until the appeals are finished.
Wouldn't want Rooney. Simply not worth the money. Yilmaz isn't great IMO, he did well in the CL but otherwise was average at best.

Did you watch a lot of the Turkish League mate?

Yilmaz average at best? Your a joke. People commenting on players should actually watch more than half a YouTube clip before even writing.

*You're a joke. I didn't even watch any youtube clips before judging him ;) Just because someone has a differing opinion to yours doesn't mean they haven't watched the player.
Surely if Yilmaz was soooo amazing, there'd be greater competition for his signature? Currently only us and Lazio have an interest in him.

Well that's wrong. It's currently only us and Lazio in discussions with his club. Plenty of other teams are interested. Clearly you don't understand how transfers work.

Your basing your decision on him by what other clubs are interested. LOL

I'm not basing my decision on who's interested in him. I can form my own opinion on a player.
And do you understand how transfers work? Are you an agent? Do you have an intimate knowledge of how transfers work?
