Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore has joined Ajax on a season-long loan, the Eredivisie club have confirmed.
He has also signed a new 3 year deal!

I wouldn't mind actually if the price was okay. Very good player, and he would help us defeat the "smaller" sides that would just sit back. But against better teams he gets man marked out of the game too easily. He needs time and space to be really effective, and most of the time he won't get that with us.

It's a step back if we sell cesc, Oscar is the midfielder we should look to move on if any. Cesc is top quality, you just need to build around him to get the best out of him. A midfield 3 of cesc, kante and a return to form matic would be good enough for me. I think a top quality centre back is a huge must ASAP.

Haven't you guys actually watched Cesc in matches? Yes, his passing can be majestic, but he loses possession just in front of our back four too many times. In the pre-season warm-up games, his startling inability to withstand being closed down, and maintain possession, nearly cost us a goal on several occasions. Meanwhile, Oscar has shown evidence that he his starting to regain his form - his work rate is 100% better than Cesc, he doesn't lose the ball that often (and when he does, he tries hard to win it back), his passing, although not as clinical as Cesc, is good, and he is far more aware of goalscoring opportunities. Give me Oscar over Cesc any day of the week.

Oscar loses ball all the time. We have Kanye to cover cescs ground now. If we don't have cesc we have no link to forward players. Well go back to a midfield that doesn't create move forward. Be back to that passing back to defenders, then goal keeper, then hoof the ball up field because kante, matic, mikel don't know what to do with it.

Morning Ed's,

Is there any chat going about that Chelsea are in for a RB or wing back? I know we obviously must be in the final stages of bringing in a CB but so many goals last season were because of Ivanovic making mistakes or lacking in pace! It looks like Dave will be playing LB so we are going to be so short in the RB position.

that reply is very very very worrying. I am much more concerned about our full back situation than our centre back one. what is going on with our board. rahman out, ake out, kenedy out and now aina out? ivanovic is a FRICKING CB. know what's funny, iva will play rb all year and get into team of the season hahahaha.

If we don't sign a RB we are going to be in a really bad position. Ivanovic has been terrible the last 2 season but he still manages to get a game! The only reason he gets a game is because nobody is challenging him for his position. Dave is a natural RB so it was fine when we had baba but now we don't he will be our LB you will see Ivanovic getting embarrassed on the pitch

Working times ahead.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about on this site Blueboy? Ivanovic is past it he's on a rapid decline, Aina is already better and will only get better. Take off your rose tinted glasses and fall out of love with the past please.

{Ed018's Note - maybe you misread it. Blueboy stated that Ivanovic is past it by 2 seasons. Aina in my opinion isn't ready to be a starter but is capable of providing some depth}

Oh I see Ed but he's waited a long time for his chance and apart from the Madrid game he's been quality. Might aswell just chuck them in at the deep end see if they've got character to stand out I think it's the best way. Arsenal done it with Bellerin and United done it with Rashford now they have two quality players on their hands.
