Supposedly Chelsea have beaten Real Madrid and will be signing Cavani according to a Spanish news article. Not sure how accurate this is but there so many rumours flying about. Chelsea will do good to get him. I'm not sure what the chances are but I think it won't happen

Graeme Hunter states that he thinks Real Madrid will win the race for Cavani. I suppose!

Can't see it happening, I think next season will be Torres, Lukaku and shurrle with Hulk being a very outside chance of being our big summer signing. Personally I honestly don't think we need to cavani or many of the other players being linked with us, however I'm sure Jose and Roman know what they are doing and will strengthen the squad where they feel it is needed.

The answer then is clear, let him sign elsewhere. I for one don't want any player at Chelsea looking to be handed playing time and who are not confident in their football to feel they can't be kept off the pitch.

It's a world cup year, he'd be a fool to sign and miss out on the greatest competition on earth without first asking a few questions.

Of course, the greatest competition that's about to make him rich and set up his family for life. As I said, if he's not confident his skills will put him on the pitch then I don't want him at Chelsea. This is ridiculous, despite what he or any other player is told what happens if their form falls off halfway thru the season, should they keep 1st position with a better player on the bench because of their world cup ambitions when Chelsea is trying to win things? See Mou and Casillas.

"The bid was rejected today. " - Pay a lot of attention to twitter then spready? Ed002 has said we're allowed to speak with Cavaini but Napoli can always go back on there word. That's how I understand it. P. S Spready, you not a utd fan? You should be more worried about Strootman and Lawendowski, who you guys seem to think are done and dusted deals. A bit like Lucas was a "done deal" lol

ED how have Chelsea missed out on Markovic after this morning the President of Belgrade said Chelsea own him and they will loan him to Benfica for 2 years? now Benfica say they have a 5 year deal for Markovic?

If he does well, we, 'll probably be trying to sign him for £50m in 2yrs time.
