If we sign Oscar would tht mean we drop intrest in moura... As he looks inter or utd bound! Any thoughts {Ed018's Note - i would suspect so}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It looks like inter for him, I really hope it's not Man Utd utd

The Guardian are reporting that Chelsea will sign Oscar soon after Internacional have lined up Ganso to replace him,
also it carries on further saying that we've agreed a £38 million initial fee with Porto for Hulk but there are complications over who should pay the fee to his third party ownership (not sure on how much that is)

So looks like Samir could be right on that one

Rich

Believable11 Unbelievable2

The remaining third party ownership seems to be about 10% of his rights

Agree0 Disagree0

What i don't get is if we're willing to pay £38 million to Porto for 90% why don't we just get it over and done with and pay the 10%

We'll probably pay it anyway so why not just do it and stop messing about. Money isn't a problem for RA

Im presuming if we do sign Oscar then he will gain a work permit due to the exceptional talent rule? Im no expert so maybe one of the Eds can help me out {Ed018's Note - i could be wrong as well, but i believe it would have to be the exceptional talent rule. }

Believable2 Unbelievable2

What have you heard ed018 have a fee been agreed? {Ed018's Note - nothing confirmed yet, but seems like the deal is getting closer}

I heard a rumour that Torres would be swapped for Andy Carroll.

Please tell me this is rubbish {Ed018's Note - you need to be told that}

Believable4 Unbelievable20

What a stupid comment

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter garbage, who writes this rubbish., {Ed018's Note - who knows where he heard that from, but its obviously rubbish}

Agree0 Disagree0

This fool needs to get a life posting crap like that, i bet torres would find this annoying if he read it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a like button for Ed's reply.. that was hilarious

Playing a 4-2-3-1 formation versatility is key, especially for the three attacking midfield players. Mata, Hazard, Marin and potentially Oscar all have this versatility. All can operate to a high degree on either the right, left or centrally.

Over the past few seasons we have really been lacking n these positions and thus lacking creativity, thankfully this shouldn't be a problem now - and I haven't even mentioned De Bruyne, Paizon or the other potential signing of Hulk.

The competition for places in the attacking midfield places is going to be strong but should also be very exciting!

With either, or both of the potential signings mentioned along with Azpiliqueta (my preference for right back) and a striker (Lewandowski is my preference, but not likely) we are going to have a very, very good squad!

This is what Roman tried to start with the appointment of AVB last year

chelsea interested in signing 20 year old kyriakos papadopoulos from schalke one of the hottest prospects in europe

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Bulls***

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not the original poster but it is not Bulls*** as he was on the list produced by Ed002 of the players that Chelsea are interested in.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is clearly a false rumour

Why the hell would we need a 5th centre back?

Not having it. No substance. Back to your fantasy league mate.

hey i've noticed recently that there is alot of talk about the likes of lucas and oscar but we desperatly need a rb so my question for you is how is our pursuit in the marsaille RB and VDV ? {Ed002's Note - Fine thanks.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

STill got two bloody months. No need to rush. It ain't gunna hurt building a better squad so why moan? BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I was hoping for a better answer than fine, have we made any bids for the players, and BLUEBOY1 we need to get these players in as soon as possible for the pre season tour ! {Ed002's Note - THe situartion in respect of Azpilicueta remains one of location. Nothing has been resolved but if he will agree to a move to England then Chelsea will buy him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Any specifics about his problem with England? Culture? Weather? {Ed002's Note - None of those.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because your not hearing things dosen't mean nothing is happening all Chelsea fans know they like to keep things hush as much as they can.
A RB will come maybe two
Drebs {Ed002's Note - Azpilicueta's situation remains his concern about an international career being damaged.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to have done Mata no harm. I also recall him saying something about leaving OM for a bigger club to boost his international prospects, why the about-turn? {Ed002's Note - It is not an about turn.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What other clubs are interested in him? {Ed018's Note - there has been interest from Real Madrid, Athelitic Bilbao, Valencia, and a few other teams i can't remember off the top of my head}

Hey Ed, about the Oscar guy, is there a gud chance of him arriving this summer and in ur estimation, do u think we will go back in fo Shurrle this transfer window?
Dastanj {Ed002's Note - It is still a maybe but they are being asked to evidence his ownership so it is certainly possible. Schurrle - perhaps but the club will not be held to ransom.}

Hello ED impressed with the amount of work and effort you guys put in..... I've noticed lately we are linked with several Brazilians have we struck and agreement with there government to make a Brazilian team so they can gel as a national team lol.

All jokes aside what are Chelsea doing to get home grown players in? as we don't seem to be linked with many home grown players.

Beedy192 {Ed002's Note - The homegrown players are coming through the ranks. Aside from that there has been interest iun one or two such as moses.}

The highly-rated 22-year-old continues to attract admiring glances from across Europe, with Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Chelsea believed to be heading the list.

Reigning Serie A champions Juventus are also said to be keen on a player who has blossomed during his four years in Italy.

Fiorentina are aware of the mounting interest in the Montenegro international, but hope they will continue to benefit from his considerable ability.

Every player has a price, though, and sporting director Daniele Prade claims €30million (£23.8m) would be enough to entice the club into transfer talks.

Would Chelsea make a offer worth tht ed? {Ed002's Note - We will see, but it is certainly possible.}

I really hope we avoid players from the Brazilian league the majority are overrated. I just hope we go in for Jovetic or Giovinco instead of this Oscar Guy.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Oscar over-rated?! Have you seen him play? In the recent international friendlies against Denmark, USA and Argentina he was one of the finest playes on the pitch. His style would most definitely be suited to European football. I'd have him ahead f Giovinco any day....Jovetic is more of an attacker so not really comparable.

Agree0 Disagree0

So your saying neymar is over-rated?
i dont think so!!!

Juve purchased the rest of his ownership from parma toward the end of euro.

Hi Ed. Don't really post on here much but read the site most days.
Just wanted to see if there is any genuine interest in Walcott? Reports have been lingering around since last year (when I believe AVB was interested?) and they've cropped up again since the whole RVP saga. Are these old reports resurfacing to make Arsenal sound like they're in a crisis or are we genuinely interested in him? {Ed022's Note - Not that I know of mate.}

Considering chelsea have been reported to have "signed" porto alegre's sweetheart Oscar does that mean that the signing of the overrated and priced hulk is out the window? {Ed002's Note - No, the two ar unrelated.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Hulk is not overrated!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk is massively overrated for his 38 million price tag

Oscar announced on his twitter he ain't leaving BLUEBOY1

Believable4 Unbelievable4

He also said this a few days ago....I believe the Brazilian transfer window opens tomorrow so rumours are bound to be flying all over the place. Stranger things have happened than a player moving after saying he won't.

Part of me thinks clubs want to get a deal done prior to the Olympics as no doubt his value (as well as others featuring) will rocket.

Very true Steve. I'm just saying what was on twitter. Exciting prospect is we get him :) BLUEBOY1

Hi Ed , I have noticed that Jovetic talk for a move to the bridge has been cooled and it seems he will head to Arsenal , Have Chelsea given up or is he not a player we need to follow or wrap up quickly ?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Chelsea still need to buy a striker and Jovetic remains one option. There is certainly interest in him from eslewhere.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

09 Jul 2012 23:22:30
In the media so unsure of reliability, but ED the mail and telegraph seem almost sure we've signed Oscar! Would you mind enlightening us Chelsea fans? Cheers {Ed002's Note - He really has not signed. There is interest and a representative of the club has been in Brazil and spoken with his club but that is it right now. Bertolucci has to provide evidence that the ownership issues with Oscar have finally been settled after only recently saying the the court case had not resolved eveything. I suspect there remains a fair bit of work to do on this one.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Jul 2012 01:14:04

Eds, is it true chelsea signed Oscar?

Thanks {Ed018's Note - I havent heard any confirmation of this}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Internacional are not stupid with this one. He is in the Olympics and is a top player in the squad, and if he does well than his fee will rise. So they will not announce anything till after clubs have assessed him much more.
