Any more neymar news ed? Rumours that he did not return to Brazil with the other squad members and stayed an extra day in London with his agent Wagner Ribiero and his parents? {Ed002's Note - Refer to the earlier messages.} 28 Mar 2011 20:35:22
Do you think Chelsea will move quickly this summer to try and sign their targets or do you see it being a drawn out process like most of their transfers have been in recent years 28 Mar 2011 19:51:10
Hey ed way are u saying every time that people mention a player like sanchez neymer ganso pato aguero etc you always say that we havent got a chance of signg ............. {Ed002's Note - I think you will find you are given very good information and it is generally encouraging about what signings are being looked at. It is a pity that you have decided it is not for you. But what the heck.} 28 Mar 2011 17:54:31
The three English clubs are among a limited group of elite teams who could afford to sign Neymar from Santos, given his buyout clause currently stands at 45 million (£39.6 million). Chelsea attempted to sign him last summer, only to be rejected by the player as he chose to remain in Brazil.
Neymar has previously expressed his admiration for Italian football in particular but could be warming to England having been given permission by Brazil coach Mano Menezes to remain overnight in London on Sunday while the rest of the squad travelled home.
The player and his entourage were treated to a night out by Ribeiro and Zahavi, who has been given the authorisation to conduct Neymar's international affairs.
After his performance at Arsenal's home ground, Neymar said: ". .the stadium is great; the pitch is too. The [English] weather I don't like all that much, but I could get used to it."
Meanwhile, Zahavi told ESPNsoccernet: "Yes, we were all very happy with his performance at the Emirates."
Any meetings ? {Ed002's Note - Not with the player no.} 28 Mar 2011 16:34:55
Chelsea to sign aguero and sanchez!
If this were to happen, how would chelsea play? 4-3-3 with aguero left and sanchez right, or 4-4-2 with partnership of torres and aguero, with sanchez on the right?
Your thoughts ed? Thanks
{Ed002's Note - This is simply fantasy football and I am not going to get involved.} 28 Mar 2011 14:17:33
Hey Ed,
From what I can tell, it seems that Jose's more likely destination should he leave Real this summer would be Man City. Im hearing alot about Villas-Boas being targeted to replace Carlo, I understand that if Carlo finishes the season very strongly and wins either or both the Prem and the CL he is likely to stay. But with the wages Jose would demand compared to Villas-Boas it might be wiser to go turn all of our attention to the latter. When you read their bio's they do seem quite similar, almost like he is the next Mourinho as they say.
What are your thoughts Ed on who is more likely to return to the bridge, should Carlo leave? And is Villas-Boas the other managerial target that you were speaking of a few days ago?
Cheers. {Ed002's Note - As I said I am not going to comment further on this matter until everything is clearer.} 28 Mar 2011 00:07:32
Hey ed, I heard Villas Boas is the next Mourinho. If so does that mean he does exactly what Mourinho does, by not giving youngsters a chance and playing a less attractive football? {Ed002's Note - No - you shouldn't believe everything you hear. He was well liked at Chelsea and is now at Porto.} 27 Mar 2011 20:17:25
I have read all the posts bellow and of all the players mentioned my opinion is we need to get Aguero at what ever the cost, he is a quality player, the rest would be a bonus. 27 Mar 2011 19:59:01

Hey Ed did u find out if any discussions are taking place with neymar and chelsea? {Ed002's Note - There would not be any with the player himself - as I said that would be tapping up. There may be with his father if he travelled, but I have not heard anything.} 27 Mar 2011 13:44:53
Ed, is there any truth in the rumour that Ancelotti is leaving Chelsea for Roma in the summer? {Ed002's Note - It is a rumour right now, but the club are, as I understand it, considering their options.} 27 Mar 2011 12:33:18
ED, ANY POSSIBILITY OF GETTING AGUERO, THIS SUMMER? {Ed002's Note - A possibility but wages are an issue.} 27 Mar 2011 12:07:28

Surely this is the perfect chance for chelsea to try and twist neymar's arm to come to us next year surely we will try to persuade him with him being in london this weekend {Ed002's Note - That would be tapping up. I am not sure if his father travelled with him or not; I will try and find out if any discussions are planned.}

ED i was asking that are Man United, liverpool, chelsea in a financially sound position where in they could pump 30-40 million into transfers?
{Ed002's Note - And as I said, that is not how transfers are budgetted for. Chelsea have the advantage of a wealthy owner who is willing to invest, Manchester United are cash rich, Liverpool have unburdened themselves of £40M a year in interest payments although they have a number of one of payments to face this year. The owners will no doubt provide some funding but they are alos looking to work at bringing the stadium up to a higher capacity - it is a delicate balance.} 26 Mar 2011 14:58:33
ED what do you think is Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool's purchasing power as of now. . .i mean how around how much money are they capable of spending?? {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say - it is not how transfers are budgetted for.} 26 Mar 2011 14:47:09

Everton midfielder Rodwell, Atletico Madrid forward Aguero and Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder are the men Chelsea want to spearhead a renewed attack on the Premier League title next season.
Rodwell has long been linked with Manchester United and although Everton boss David Moyes recently denied reports a deal had already been agreed, the 20-year-old was expected to move to Old Trafford in the summer.
However, United may now have to compete with Chelsea in a bidding war for the £20 million-rated youngster.
The Red Devils are also believed to be interested in Dutch World Cup star Sneijder, who will be allowed to leave Inter for £30 million at the end of the season, but would struggle to match any fee and salary package put together by the Blues.
Having spent big money in January on David Luiz and Fernando Torres, with markedly different results, Carlo Ancelotti will apparently be looking to bring in this trio of top quality talent, but just how likely are these moves to come to fruition?
Let s start with Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero. The young Argentine international may well be leaving his La Liga side this summer, not least because the Vicente Calderon side are apparently having financial troubles and are currently struggling in eighth place in La Liga and therefore won t receive the funding boost that comes with Champions League football for the second season running and after five seasons at the club the in form striker is ready to look for pastures new and a move to Chelsea will surely interest the 22 year old.
However there is a small matter of there already being an issue with fitting Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and Nicolas Anelka into the same attack, something that may be resolved if either the Frenchman or Ivory Coast international is sold this summer.
It seems unlikely that Wesley Sneijder will leave Inter Milan having seen their stock rise with the arrival of Leonardo after the disastrous Rafa Benitez reign. A move for Jack Rodwell may however prove more successful but Manchester United also want the Everton youngster and arguably need him more urgently as Chelsea already have a number of central midfield options at present.Thoughts ed?
TALRD Luiz for ever BITC {Ed002's Note - Aguero is a maybe and the others much less likely.} 25 Mar 2011 19:50:24

Ed, I also thought . that page was owned by you. They are doing a very good job. They seems to Know many things about Chelsea FC. They may be referring this site for info but i think they have someone close to the club as their source.
What are your thoughts?
{Ed002's Note - I don't have any thoughts as I don't know anything about the site.} 23 Mar 2011 19:53:48
Ed - If (as you have deemed likely) Lampard were to leave Chelsea this summer, due to his age. Is this something Frank himself wishes? Otherwise wouldn't it be better to keep him for important matches & experience - rather than let him go on a free? (Like Scholes, Giggs ect. .)
Plus, this Brazilian influx can't just be because of their age, as there are young players all over world, u'know. . :)
Thanks for all your wisdom {Ed001's Note - he also commands huge wages, unlike United Chelsea do not have an enormous ground and massive merchandising and sponsorship deals to cover those kind of wages + back up players wages. With the FFP ruling coming in to play tough decisions have to be made.} 23 Mar 2011 20:41:19
23 Mar 2011 12:46:54
WillHill have put Ancelotti odds on to leave this summer. . . Huddink in as Manager for a season, then steps up to Arnesen's role in summer 2012 and Mourinho comes back. . or not!? :)
{Ed002's Note - This is why the plans are being looked at right now. The second variable is Mourinho departing Madrid this summer. You can see why there are issues - particularly given in the longer term there is a different managerial target.}
Everyone has banged on about Mourinho coming back. .do we really want him again? We played solid football and won whilst never really pushing on. maybe just let him go to either side of Manchester and move on, we have won the league since without him and will do again. 23 Mar 2011 17:54:47

What long term target is this then Ed Boas Gaurdiola ? {Ed002's Note - I don't want to go there just yet.} 23 Mar 2011 14:39:55
The way I see it, the only way we can compete with the utds and barcas once the new rules come in regarding spending is to either move ground or pull down the shed and hotel and put a bigger stand in. Are there plans to do either? I know we are looking at selling the rights to some corporation to re name the bridge but this seems like a stupid idea as the money we want/ need will fall well short. 23 Mar 2011 14:25:46
I am a big fan of Lampards and he has done us proud I agree he is not the player he was but who can we get to replace him, he has scored 20+ goals a season and provided as many assists. I was hoping he would see his carrer out with us. I was expecting him to be used a bit more sparringly over the coming seasons like giggs at utd. Kaka in my opinion is not the man to replace him. 23 Mar 2011 09:38:29
What are the possible destination for drogba and lampard to go
{Ed002's Note - There is nothing to say that they will both be leaving and it may depend on the situation with the manager at the end of the season. If Drogba were to leave and a fee agreed, then Real Madrid and Marseilles are the likely destinations. Lampard could well go on a "free" or at a nominal fee and options on young players if the club is right. He could pretty much choose where he wants to go (CSKA and Zenit have shown an interest in the past - but I doubt he would want to go there). Arsenal? Spurs?} 23 Mar 2011 01:15:32

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are taking this summer as an opportunity to refresh the squad for the longer term when money will not be so easy to spend. Lampard is getting on for 33 and has suffered injuries. Time comes when one must take the old horse out and shoot it. I imagine a graceful free transfer. Some journalists know one or two things. Sharkey is no doubt keeping a watchful eye on you.}

So wots the diffrence if jose joins us the year if he was suppose 2 cum bk the summer afterwards 21 Mar 2011 20:46:25
Hey ed do u really think jose will come back bcause he only left 3 years ago and he wants fergies job at united and if ancelotti goes it is like if we going backwords because it no 1 out there and people are saying we going 4 aguero we could have had him about 2 years ago so wots the chances of siging him and al the players they been liked wiv such as aguero neymar nilmar mata ganso sanchez hazzard kaka ramos vander wiel ect so wots the most likely 1s thank u ed lookin foward 2 your thought
{Ed002's Note - If it were next year the I would expect him back. If the manager leaves this summer then you may see someone else at the helm. I expect also that Manchester City will make a heft bid for Mourinho. I am not going to go in to players too much, but the Aguero is a possibility but wages will be an issue. Neymar is first choice but the matter has already dragged out and Chelsea may walk away from it. I don't know of any interest (at this time) in Nilmar or Mata. Chelsea may look again at Ganso but he seems Inter bound. Hazard is a no and I hope Kaka is as well. I doubt any interest in Ramos. Van der Wiel is still of interest - particularly if Bosingwa leaves. The most complex of all is Sanchez and I will try and explain what I know to be correct and what is “rumoured” about him. We know that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made unsuccessful bids, and we know that Manchester United and Barcelona have a declared interest. Juventus had previously been interested but were hoping that (a) Sanchez stayed under the radar until a deal could be struck, and (b) Udinese would look kindly on an arrangement that included some cash and several players either in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. As an aside Juventus have proposed a similar deal for Javier Pastore. Anyway, there was a January meeting with Chelsea in Monaco and broad agreement was reached over the transfer before Giampaolo Pozzo said that the deal must include a loan of the player back to Udinese. Whilst Barcelona were apparently willing to agree to this until the end of the season, Pozzo proposed that whoever Sanchez moved to should allow him to be loaned back for 18 months – hence the end of any discussions. I expect that Juventus will not come back in to the picture. Although Sanchez has been watched by numerous teams, there is nothing new other than a "rumour" that Manchester City may be preparing a bid as well. They have, like Juventus, recently been knocked back in a bid for Pastore and are likely to aim their cheque book in another direction – this may well be Sanchez. I suspect that we will see a saga drag out through the summer transfer window as Pozzo puts the player on the market, takes him off the market, values him at €100M and so on. Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter will all likely remain interested but could well tire of the expected drawn-out negotiations. Manchester United and Chelsea were both originally wary of the player being not quite as robust as needs be for the EPL. Perhaps Inter will get their man. Now you know as much as I do about the matter.} 21 Mar 2011 19:27:56

So then ed if jose does return do u think roman let him manger the team and pick is own players and if so he will have differnt 1 2 wot all the papers are linking us 2 and i couldnt see him selling drogbd wot u think ed {Ed005's Note - I would imagine lessons had been learned.} 21 Mar 2011 18:07:33
Hey ed now if ancelotti does get the boat from chelsea who is out there 2 manger them
and do u think roman is going 2 spend another 100 million on playersif so i would like aguero mata sanchez and van der wiel and that b more than 100 million ur thoughts plase ed thanks {Ed005's Note - Roman Abramovic and Jose Mourinho are good friends again, and Mourinho isn't content at Real Madrid and could leave at the end of the season. So there's an option. I'm not sure on other targets. And I'm sure Abramovic will spend money. Sanchez seems a top target.} 21 Mar 2011 13:20:58
Drogba to the gooners in the summer. Hiddink to return, Steve Clarke staying at Liverpool. Despite all the load of hot guff doing the rounds, big money will not be spent this summer as the club needs to get in order for the new UEFA regs that are fast approaching, currently CFC do not meet the financial guidelines of living within it's own means.
Shoot it down, but this is how it is gonna be. 21 Mar 2011 00:55:54
Torres looks like a little boy lost . he is going back to spain within 2 years for ten mill max . you bought a dud 20 Mar 2011 22:17:09
Hey chelsea eds have u lot heard of a faceboom group called covert football its someone who says they have info about chelsea? new report is
Despite their win today, we've just heard that Ancelotti is 100% leaving Chelsea at the end of the season! #CFC #Chelsea
& they say moruinho is 100% back in the summer and say chelsea may tempt madrid with 35 mil plus ivanovic?
{Ed002's Note - It is all conjecture - and £35 plus for who?}
sergio ramos 20 Mar 2011 22:15:00
Hey ed, any chance of us going for ashely young in the summer? He's homegrown and a quality winger who could play on the other side so we would have zhirkov on the left and him on the right (hopefully selling malouda) {Ed003's Note - Wouldnt have thought so} 20 Mar 2011 22:04:22

Hey ed, watching the match today, i couldn't help noticing abromavich shaking his head when torres was subbed off. Do you think that this was because of his performance or because of the decision to sub him off? I think it would be the former since he was having a good game and if it is, does this mean ancelotti's days are truly numbered because he disagrees with his style? Or is it just him being disappointed in his signing and thinking twice before he spends £50 million? cheers {Ed007's Note - Does anyone care? Really???} 20 Mar 2011 19:57:40

B.T.I.N 93 {Ed005's Note - I think Torres will come good. Once he gets off the mark and settled in he'll start putting the goals away. To all the Liverpool fans who constantly post. .
Torres would have been useful tonight, no? LOL. Already £50m well spent.
- - - - - - -
A bit pre-emptive, don't you think? Torres has played 5 games, scored none and looked decidedly unimpressive, with only a handful of shots over the entirety of the 5 games and has been outscored by a defender who cost half of what he did - a bit worrying after spending £50m on him.
Meanwhile, £23m Suarez has played 4, scored 1 and got 2 assists as well as performing very impressively and shown good skill and the sharpness that someone like Torres could only dream of at this moment in time. Carroll has played one game and looked good given he wasn't expected back from injury this early.
Martin
I do see what your saying Martin but I think that we play different than Liverpool, but I think if he has time to bed in. If we use this season to try and get an understanding then next season I think he will be better this season. 19 Mar 2011 08:53:22

I have no inside information or anything like that but i do belive we will be bringing in Aguero, Sanchez and at least one other and I think we have already acquired the services of a certain Portugese fella. We have been found wanting in every part of the park this season and we have no choice but to rebuild. 18 Mar 2011 18:42:12

If chelsea finish fourth n spurs win the champions league do we still go through or do spurs take the spot ? {Ed005's Note - Not sure but I think the rules were changed in 2005, whereby the winners get to defend their trophy. Whether they enter via qualification or via the expense of the team in 4th I don't know.} 16 Mar 2011 19:08:31
Sao Paulo have confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Chelsea for Lucas Piazon.
The 17-year-old midfielder will move to the Premier League champions in January 2012, which is the first transfer window to open after he turns 18 later this year.
The deal is worth around £5.3million, 80 per cent of which goes to Sao Paulo, with rest divided between the player's camp.
This is good is it not Ed.
ED do you think that he will be in the centre of midfield with McEcheran in the future? {Ed001's Note - he is very highly rated, it should be an excellent signing if he progresses.} 16 Mar 2011 19:10:34
ED will pazion be sent on loan or will he be in the set up straight away and does this affect other transfer targets ? {Ed001's Note - I expect him to be given time to bed in with the squad next season rather than being sent out on loan. Then see how he is progressing at the end of the season.} 16 Mar 2011 09:32:17
Ed its being reported weve agreed a fee for kevin de bruyne but the stumbling block is that we want to loan him to vitesse but he wants to come straight to chelsea
and that we are negotiating with lukaku have u heard anything {Ed002's Note - I doubt that de Bruyne will make the move. As for Lukaku, he remains a maybe.} 16 Mar 2011 00:49:35

Ayo ed. who would be the best manager that can work with kids and gives the youngsters a chance to shine, besides Arsene? if you look at the Talent Chelsea has we shoudn't even think about signing attackers. If you look at Lalkovic, Kakuta, and Borini. And where would Paizon fit in with McEachran playing in the same position? 15 Mar 2011 23:42:21
Will piazon, be sent on loan or will he be in the set up straight away and does this affect other transfer targets ? 15 Mar 2011 23:11:22
Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Piazon when he turns 18.
Press Association Sport understands the Blues are poised to beat off competition from Juventus for the 17-year-old, who is currently playing for Brazil in the South American Under-17 Championship.
Dubbed 'the new Kaka' by some commentators, Piazon was first linked with a move to Chelsea two years ago.
He was also courted by Juve, who appeared to have won the race for the teenager two months ago after he spent a week training with the Italian giants.
That sparked erroneous reports he would join them in January next year.
Instead, he is set to move to Stamford Bridge in line with FIFA laws after Sao Paulo agreed to sell him to the Barclays Premier League champions.
The fee is unclear but reports suggest it could be anywhere from £5million to £8million.
Piazon's signing would reaffirm Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's commitment to bringing more young players to the club in addition to splashing out on the likes of Fernando Torres and David Luiz when necessary.
This was on sportingLife looks promising what do you think ED? {Ed002's Note - It seems that a deal is pretty close.} 15 Mar 2011 18:44:57

Udinese say 30 mil will secure sanchez in the summer didn't chelsea already offer that ? 15 Mar 2011 15:02:13
So ed your saying Abromavic never sacked him? they who was he talking about when he said "a man that should have never arrived"? and what are the Chances of him coming back? and does Mourinho tell his players not to do tricks and make pretty passes or do the players don't do that? {Ed002's Note - Mourinho was referring to Avram Grant. The chances of his return were nailed on for the end of next season; but it looks reasonably likely he will leave Madrid this summer. There are also other options which may be available to him.} 15 Mar 2011 14:50:23
Hey ed when Mourinho said "I was happy at Chelsea, I was thinking about spending my whole life there, until a man arrived who should have never arrived" who is he referring to? Arsenen or Abromavic? {Ed001's Note - Abramovich brought Jose to Chelsea mate, he is friends with Roman again, it is nothing to do with Roman.} 15 Mar 2011 14:23:24
Why does el sulko keep going on about liverpool in the papers, his different reasons for leaving, ok youve said yr peace yr not comming back, we don't want you back, we have prince luis and andy now , much better than you, we are over it now you get over it, jimmybosun ynwa, 15 Mar 2011 11:55:48
Ed are we still interested in lucas piazon and do we have a chance of still getting him as juventus were meant to of agreed but now its up in the air and were still being linked with a move i think he was one of our main young targets {Ed002's Note - I suspect that he will not be moving to Chelsea.} 14 Mar 2011 15:46:45
Can aguero play with torres? For the year torres and aguero started for atletico they played well so i suppose so.TALRD BITC 14 Mar 2011 13:29:48
Brazil r playing scotland at the emiraes march 27th so maybe that's a chance for dluiz and ramires to try and convince pato or neymar to choose blue also chance for chelsea to talk to them 14 Mar 2011 00:01:53
The transfer for sanchez could go throught but personally i don't think so. think roman should tun his attention to dimitri payet from A.S saint ettiene. seen clips of the man on youtube would really give us that driving force down the wings that we only have with malouda and cole on the 2 side. think about 12 - 15 million would be enough to prize him away from the frenc.h club 13 Mar 2011 13:57:05
I don't think torres and david luiz were ca signings i think chelsea have another manager already to come in and they have signed these players for teh new manager so they no the dressing room for next season and i think chelseas possible targets are
hamsik
sanchez
kaka
pastore
aguero
dzageov
ibrahimovic
i would go for
honda
dzusdaski
aguero
subotic
hamsik
van der wiel
sanchez 13 Mar 2011 13:35:07
Ed will be funny as if we get r targets like sanchez aguero etc then the language on the pitch being spoken would probabbly be spanish and portugese with ramires, luiz, sanchez, aguero, neymar, ganso, torres
none of these speak englidh apart from torres but he wud have to talk spanish to them 13 Mar 2011 02:42:54
Ed, would you say Mourinho would give the likes of Kakuka Van Aanholt, McEachran a Chance? and why doesn't Mourinho make football look beautiful? {Ed005's Note - Mourinho prefers to play the more experienced players regularly although I'm sure he'd give the young players a chance. And his football isn't beautiful as it isn't his style or philosophy.} 13 Mar 2011 02:20:20
Hey ed how would rate Frank Rikjaad and the former Ajax manager who took a brake(I don't remember his name) to Mourinho. . would you chose those two over Mourinho. .? which ones play the so called "beautiful football" Ex Barca, Arsenal. .? {Ed005's Note - Rijkaard's style of management is too laid back, and seems sluggish. He had Barcelona playing great football, but it is a philosophy that has been drummed into the players since they were kids - not to mention the talent he had. Mourinho is probably the best of the three.} 12 Mar 2011 23:51:36
I think if ancelotti went it would prob be riijkard
the good things about him
hes available
he speaks very good english
hes been at the biggest club in the world with the best players in the world
hes played in one of the best teams in the world with a couple of ex chelsea managers
dutch footballers in the main r a success for us (hasslbaink, gullit, hiddink, robben, monkou, )
if we do get players like aguero, asanchezetc then they speak spanish which riijkard has no problem speaking
he plays the so called "sexy football" abramovich craves
hes good with youngsters as all dutch are
and who else is there unless u go backwards to mourinho which wiuld be a bad idea becaise
arguments with the owner
doesnt play good football no matter how u spin it
already had success here so any less and wud br criticized straight away
plus he is not good at bringing youngsters through
an example of this is sergio camales and pedro lean at madrid who have been frozen out
he would rather use old players he said in an interview once that he trusts them more 12 Mar 2011 23:32:09
Ed, Out of 10 what would you say our chances of getting Sanchez and/or Aguero in the summer considering there is interest from other major european clubs (eg Real Madrid)? ? {Ed004's Note - If you want them 7/10 for both of them} 12 Mar 2011 22:07:14
I think the youngsters should get more starts. i don't see why they don't start they are clearly good enough, just look how good sturridge is doing
Cech
Ivanovic-Luiz-Terry-Cole/Van Annholt
Essien-Ramires-Lampard-McEachran
Sturridge/Kakuta-Torres
{Ed002's Note - Three of the four youngsters you have mentioned are out on loan.} 12 Mar 2011 21:54:41
Where would he be loaned to
because i think probably bolton {Ed002's Note - Nobody know's at this time - but the plan is to let McEachlen go out on loan.} 12 Mar 2011 21:53:23
AYO Ed I am American I am sure you is English, I am Chelsea fan that changed my blood blue. I want to know. . do you think MOurinho is actually coming back to Chelsea. And do you think he will change his mind and go to our rivals? I mean all the top six clubs are our rivals.
{Ed002's Note - I am not English. The plan was that Mourinho would return at the end of next season. Circumstances have now changed so you will need to wait a little while longer before anything is clarified.} 12 Mar 2011 21:02:05
Josh McEachlen is the future of football. He will play in the first team next year either in the centre with Lampard or on the left. {Ed002's Note - I think there is a good chance he will be out on loan next year to gain experience.} 12 Mar 2011 03:46:06
Torres is a waste of money .you got a crock for 50 mill . sulk sulk and no goals 12 Mar 2011 08:07:43

Hi ed, is a move for sergio aguero likely to be made in the summer? After the argentine said a couple of years back that he would like to play for chelsea, but would also like to play beside former strike partner fernando torres, surely this summer would be perfect timing?
Also ed, how much do you think athletico would be willing to let him go for?
Thank you ed
I also read that chelsea were renewing interest in javier pastore. . Any truth in this? 10 Mar 2011 21:10:50
Chelsea will this summer lodge a £40m bid for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale as the Stamford Bridge prepare to make significant moves in the transfer market as they look to freshen up a squad that has stuttered somewhat this season. Carlo Ancelotti has the full backing of owner Roman Abramovich to make a serious offer for the Welsh international and will hope that the lure of a move to the West London side will appeal to the youngster.
Ancelotti and Abramovich are looking to build a new generation of talent at Chelsea as a number of the club s squad edge towards the end of their glittering careers. Having spent large sums in January to bring in David Luiz and Fernando Torres the Blues will push on with more big name additions when the season comes to an end.
Whilst hopes of retaining the Premier League title appear to be fading Chelsea will hope to secure a top four finish and importantly will hope that their White Hart Lane rivals miss out for a top four finish which would aid any move to lure Bale into leaving Tottenham.
The 21 year old former Southampton man has had an incredibly season during which he has put himself on the footballing map and attracted the interest of European giants Inter Milan and Real Madrid and after an unsure start to his Tottenham career Gareth Bale has now become an integral part of the North London club s plans for the future and Harry Redknapp will fight tooth and nail to prevent any prospective suitors from getting their hands on their prized asset.
Chelsea find themselves entering the end of an era with the back bone of the club getting on in years with the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba all over 30 and other key players such as Ashley Cole, Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka also entering the final stages of their careers and Roman Abramovich is keen to bring in players to help any transitional period run as smoothly as possible.
Whilst the club s academy has indeed produced talented individuals like Josh McEachran there are not countless young talents coming through the youth system and as such Chelsea will look to buy up quality players with great potential, hence their interest in Gareth Bale.Thoughts ed?

Chelsea will launch a £40million bid to sign Santos pair Neymar and Paulo Henrique Ganso.
Neymar, 19, was the subject of Chelsea interest last summer but a move failed to materialise for the winger.
Ganso, 21, has been linked with a string of European clubs including Inter Milan, AC Milan and Arsenal.
But Chelsea feel they can attract the attacking midfielder by offering him the chance to link up with his friends Neymar and Ramires.
The Blues owner Roman Abramovich sees the duo as the ideal candidates to lower the age of his squad while maintaining a high level.
O Globo reports Chelsea and Inter Milan will battle for the signatures of the pair but the West London club are favourites.Thoughts ed?

So who is the priority
and who are most likely to come
and do we still want ganso and is he likely
{Ed001's Note - from what I can gather it is
forwards to play with Torres, though Kalou might well change that if he can combine with
him well for the rest of the season! I am not
sure which particular player would be first
choice though. I don't even see why that is the
priority, I would think midfield would be
myself.}
In answer to the above question, i doubt chelsea or any club will pursue their interest in ganso now that hes ruptured his cruciate ligament and is out for at least six months. . 08 Mar 2011 21:52:42

Clearley don't work together who would you drop torres(bell) drog (unbell)
thanks 07 Mar 2011 22:13:05
Hey ed, are chelsea likely to go after Louis van gaal at the end of the season to replace Ancelotti? {Ed002's Note - Nope.} 07 Mar 2011 22:12:07

Ed who will be leaving chelsea
bcause if were buying these top players then alot will have to go the ones i think are at risk are
bosingwa ferreira mikel mlda drogba anelka
kalou zhirkov benayoun
do u know anything about confirmeD leaving next year and your thoughts o who might leave {Ed001's Note - no one is confirmed just yet, that I know of anyway. I expect to see Drogba, Ferreira and Kalou leave though myself.}
I doubt drogba will leave unless we get good money for him, as he is very important in the signing of Lukaku. Ferreira leaving would also be rather pointless. He is good back up and we wouldn't get very much money for him. Bosingwa will probably go along with mikel, malouda and anelka. 07 Mar 2011 12:34:14
Ed what about kevin de bruyne will we be getting him next summer as espn say weve sent abramoviches pa to go and get lukaku and de bruyne.
{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Mr Abramovich's PA, but de Bruyne has been of general interest to Chelsea for a while. The issue would be that he would be very unlikley to get many first team opportunities for a year or perhaps more, and now that he is getting a chance for Genk he may well be best advised to stay there and gain experience.} 07 Mar 2011 10:31:31
CHELSEA'S FIRST CHOICE STARTING 11 AND BACK UP PLAYERS FOR NEXT YEAR (IF ANCELLOTI STAYS). .
CECH / ?
VAN DER WIEL / IVANOVIC
LUIZ / IVANOVIC
TERRY / ALEX OR BRUMA
COLE / VAN AANHOLT
ESSIEN / OBI MIKEL
RAMIRES / MCEACHRAN
LAMPARD / ?
KAKA / ?
NEYMAR / KAKUTA
TORRES / STURRIDGE
IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE A RIO CARNIVAL!
ED, ANY THOUGHTS FOR THE ?'S OR ANY OTHER POSITIONS?!. {Ed002's Note - I am afraid that I never comment on teams at all.} 06 Mar 2011 22:35:29

Im really worried when cech gets injured because hilario and turnball just rnt good enough so if we were to buy a keeper who would it be?or would u just stick with rhys taylor, sam walker or blackman?thoughts ed
{Ed002's Note - There is also Matej Delac and for the long-term Jan Sebek. If Hilario leaves in the Summer the club may look to a homegrown player as a replacement.} 06 Mar 2011 13:09:10
Ed reports in turkey saying that a quote from someone at galatasaraay says that the deal for turan to chelsea is agreed do u know anything {Ed002's Note - There is nothing agreed at this time.} 05 Mar 2011 21:36:38

Ok Liverpoool fans get off the site, And the soo called newcastle fan!
Your boring Worry about your own team we have a great team if you are talking about history go watch the discovery channel MATE! 03 Mar 2011 22:38:59
Torres was awful last night. He is still playing with the same lack of passion that he did with Liverpool. He couldn't even control the ball last night.
what do you mean last night - he's never been able to control or trap a ball - expected a lot more from a spanish international - can't beat a man either, he may push the ball 20 yards past the defender and beat him to it, but beat him with skill - no chance 03 Mar 2011 22:28:06
Torres is an excellent buy but like ANY player needs time to settle. .
Let's see what happens come May and trust me that next season all you will have is your history while we carry on writing it now. .
if you live to be a 100, you'll never match liverpools history, most respected club in the country - and this from a newcastle fan 03 Mar 2011 22:30:54
These dirty scousers who are spamming up the page are doing my head in! Get lost back to your slums
Hes our No 9 End of its a matter of time before he starts to score! Worry about your own team 6th? I thought so Suarez has scored once u act like hes scored 3 hat tricks? Carrol hasnt even played yet! u IDIOTS move on from torres and with your ynwa ?
ooh - look at the time and the kids are still up, come on - bed - school tomorrow 03 Mar 2011 22:33:39
What is it with the Liverpool fans on the Chelsea site omg it only chelseas owner buying a something off of the Liverpool owner. Jesus Chelsea and Liverpool fan will have different opinions so get over it and move on.
agreed - only thing we agree on is we all hate united 03 Mar 2011 22:21:47

I'd rather walk alone thank you very much happy fighting for europa league from now in 03 Mar 2011 22:22:33
What a mess - Torres must be gutted. I know our two new signings have been read as our owner getting his hunger back but I don't believe it - we need a whole new team not a new striker and a centre back. The Russian is on his way out and so are we. Good while it lasted.
ye - without the red under the bed's money you would have won nothing 03 Mar 2011 22:04:55
I can't believe my eyes at some of these posts. . . chelsea 'fans' moaning about the signing of Torres.
Put down your crack pipes and realise we have the best number 9 in europe! Lets be honest, he's not at his best currently. . . but when he finds his form again he will be unstoppable. Especially If he and Drogba can strike a partnership. Torres off Drogba? Somebody suggest a more potent strikeforce on its day. . .
torres - hes not even the best no 9 at chelsea never mind in europe
get you head out your a**e 03 Mar 2011 22:07:27
That guy Frank who even the England fans boo is leaving on a free transfer to Glentoran in N Ireland. Think his girl friend has some clout in the deal. Keith Gillespie did same last year but the revenue caught up. Good luck Frank. Take Terry too.
and torres! ! 03 Mar 2011 18:33:59
I love how Luiz 'did' hernandez off the ball, yet when Rooney smashes an elbow in an oppponents head, its Man U who will be hard done by because of the 'witchhunt' 03 Mar 2011 17:01:59
Torres wants to move . said he made a mistake and wants to go to united and says jt keeps calling around to his house when he is not there
i'd be more worried if jt called round when he was there 03 Mar 2011 17:04:40
David Luiz should have been sent off and it was no more of a penalty than when the ball hit John Terrys arm. Same old story, you need the ref to win the game! I wonder how much it cost Roman this time? Just wait till you come to OT!

Typical united fan can't take loosing can you! !
brilliant - come on chelsea - and the mancs and red nose are goin crazy - wait till liverpool wack them on sunday - cancel all the papers you mancs 03 Mar 2011 17:06:30
Another clean sheet for the ladyboy, ha , you reap what you sow, thx for the 50m, ynwa
torres fed up again - where does the mercenary want to go next 03 Mar 2011 16:55:52
Fernando Torres £50million!?
Who would have preffered £40 million for Ag ero and £35 million for Pato? Torres is damaged goods.
couldn't agree more - liverpool kidded the b***s of us 03 Mar 2011 10:20:32
So your manager is happy to pay 50 mill for a striker and then tell the whole world it doesn't matter if he doesn't score?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? that's like telling a keeper you don't have make any saves.

Hey ed, atm which right sided midfielder will we be going for? Have we got a wealth of targets in mind and if so who are they? 02 Mar 2011 13:16:15

Favouritism? You have a couple of posts a day! We posts more in one day than you do in a month!
'Real fans' you had two fans to meet your 50 millon pound striker, you wave flags displaying the Shankly Gates, and half of you used to support Fulham!

Hey ed, are the rumours about kaka coming true? surely with ancelotti we could beat city to him {Ed001's Note - they are still just rumours from what I can find out, it depends on Jose's summer plans. If he stays Kaka will likely leave, if he goes Kaka is likely to stay.}
Then do you think we would avoid signing kaka so that mourinho could manage us next season? after all he seems the most obvious replacement with ancelotti hardly likely to be here next season. . 01 Mar 2011 19:45:56

I hope Rooney doesn't lose his head against us tonight. Ashley Cole is dangerous at the moment and his shots are on target, not only could we lose the game but we could also lose Carlo. I'm counting on Torres to be all guns blazing and firing on all cylinders. I think it will be highly unlikely Jose will be back he says certain things when he's not getting his own way at Real.It wasnt that long ago he was hinting about taking over after Fergie.

Rumours about Lamps / JT out? DO behave yourself children - simply NOT going to happen.
I'd like to see the signing of Van der Weil and an attack minded central midfielder (possibly Pjanic/Kaka/Pastore?).
Beg of Mourinho to return to 'his' Chelsea as well, and hopefully hold down some continuity in the leadership of our club.
and Finally. . . . . . . MIKEL OUT. 01 Mar 2011 05:59:00
Who do you think will be chelsea's next manager ed?
And who does everyone else think it will be?
FJB B.I.T.C
************************************
I think it will be Jose until he loses a couple of games, then it will be Benitez until he loses some games, then Hiddink, then Capello and then I think you'll finish the season with Ancelotti because his departure will be seen as premature.
Hope you boys smash the Mancs, and I hope Torres carries Vidic in his back pocket like he always did for us.
