Hi eds, can u answer 1 question for me, do u think re-signing Joe Cole would be a good idea? hes got prem experience which is crucial, knows the club inside out, could be brilliant back-up in a extremelly long hard season {Ed018's Note - No, I could be proven wrong but I don't think Cole has what it takes to be at a top club anymore}
Yeah,the move to Loserpool has cost him dearly.He is low on confidence and is now a shadow of the player he was.I agree completely with ed002,Joe may not now have what it takes to play for the champions of Europe,with the players we have and the players we are looking to sign it will be very hard for him to break into the team, plus he is 31.Like Essien ,Joe is on the decline.But,like ed ,I may be proved wrong.

Someone asked me which Chelsea player I think was our worst lost for a transfer fee below £5 million. I say Joe Cole, his skill, vision and talent to score was a great thing and the triad of Cole, Lampard and Essien were sublime in 2005/2006 all the way through to 2009/2010. Any other suggestions/thoughts?

Joe,was our most skilled player at that time.I was absolutely gutted to see him leave and coincidentally we suffered big time that season and the season's performance cost Ancelloti his job.The trio of Lampard ,Essien and Joe complemented each our very well.They along with Drogba provided strength,creativity and goals for the team.We should have kept him, all he wanted was a decent raise(in footballing terms) and he deserved it.Going to Loserpool cost him big time and thank god, he has regained some of his confidence while playing for Lille ,where along with Hazard he was brilliant.I mean who else but Loserpool could play Henderson,Downing,Carroll,Spearing,Adam over Joe.The same goes for the short sighted England national team Henderson,Downing over Joe ;what a joke.He also played a big part in Hazard coming here.Wherever he plays ,he will always be a true blue.Thanks ,Joe for the seven wonderful years.Wish you luck.

According to Italian reports: The reason Andy Carroll is being linked to AC Milan is because Zlatan may be on his way to Chelsea as a replacement for Drogba. Carroll would be seen as his replacement.

I think we should resign Carvalho on a year long deal.

I mentioned Etienne Capoue a few weeks ago as a very good DM who has a very bright future in front of him
With Essen's age & injury problems. Romue's uncertain future and mikel's sometimes erratic behaviour.
I still think we should be looking to get him in, he's a great ball winner and is always looking for the ball, all in all the type of player we are missing in the middle

I'm somewhat confused by the maicon talk. First off I think there's gotta be some truth in it when the higher ups at inter are quoted as saying the deal is close. At the same time I'm not sure how necessary he is. I think a younger right back is more pressing however of the ones were linked with I'm not sure how many are really ready to step up into the first team. That is what we have ivanovic for and I think he will be happy to play right back as hed be 4th choice at centre half. with that in mind there are a few teams (notably Madrid) who are interested in him (although I can't see him playing centre half at Madrid). If he stays I think we only need to bring in one younger player that we can groom. If he leaves I then understand the maicon interest. Paulo will probably be gone and I love hutch but it's extremely tough to count on him to stay healthy and Kane isn't ready yet. With all that said I think hes a lot better than some of you are giving him credit for and it's laughable when you mention he's not in the lineup for brazil when the guy ahead of him is arguably the best right back in the world.

to start with the post above contracts dont run to january i am not sure how long lamps has on his current contract but will defo not be a january move. {Ed002's Note - Contracts in most Eurpoean countries run through June 30 for anyone over 18.}
