Thinking beyond this month. I have seen a few bits and bobs in the media about a big clear out at the club which included all three of our strikers. I got excited as I thought yes we will sign a world class predator or an agile technical player or a burly number 9; but then I realised who is actually available who we would want to sign.

So I thought I'd ask who you guys would you like us to sign as our three new centre forwards assuming our current three all depart in the summer.
Thanks to all those who took the time to reply.

I have the same problem as you where I really struggle to think of any strikers who the thought of us signing really excites me. I will say however that I hope we go for more varied options than we perhaps have in the past, perhaps one real aerial threat (A Benteke type) and more of a speed merchant (can't believe I'm saying this, but like a Walcott :/ ) with an eye for the finish to compliment more of a technical dribbler type of forward (an Aguero type) as the main guy this would give us more tactical versatility, as well as options off of the bench.

Seems for the last few years we have just had big guy who can't head-relatively quick but can't really do anything else-limited use (to put it kindly) as our three options.

Maybe I am being unfair, but that's how I see it.

Regardless, I think all three options leaving at the same time seems unlikely, but we're all three to leave that is the type of thing I would aim for.

Well it's tough to say because no CL next season no big striker will join! This is why we should of kept lukaku? So angry we sold him. Doubt bamford will fire us back into top 4 so unless there are some good strikers about in Europe then I don't know. Should keep remy because he is proven goal scorer in the prem and a good record as well.

It's really difficult as there aren't that many options. If we're going for purely on who I'd want then Lewandowski is an obvious choice. I really like Dybala and I think perhaps a switch to more of an Aguero/ agile type forward could be what we need. However neither are likely to be options for us. Aubameyang has been in great form but would be expensive and seems to have his issues. Lacazette has fallen off since last season but that could be in part down to a lack of service with Fekir injured.
To be honest, it's way to early to be looking at summer signings. New players could raise their game and fall onto our radar and some of the players who we might have had an interest could totally fall to the way side by the time summer comes around.
I will say that I think we'll find it difficult to bring in 3 great centre forwards so ideally we'd bring in a proper WC centre forward eg. Lewandowski/ etc, a solid continually fit back-up/ ayounger upcoming star e.g vietto/ Icardi etc and then promote one of our youth players.

I really wouldn't let Costa go unless he really really wanted a move. Maybe go for Lewandowski? Though I don't reckon he'd fancy a move here. Lukaku is an option, as would perhaps be Higuain.
As 2nd strikers I'd go for Batshuayi, and if he's not possible I'd go for Lacazette. As 3rd striker I'd just give Bamford or Traore a shot.

The only situation where I see Costa being at the club next season would be if Simeone comes in. Other than that I think he's definitely off.

Remy and Falcao? I think they both could be gone by the end of this transfer window and a new striker brought in now, but I think this would be a mistake. If possible Falcao should go back to Monaco, there's no arguing that, but Remy should see the year out. Bamford might have had a "terrible" time at Crystal Palace but what have we got to loose by keeping him around for the rest of the season? We're not in a relegation fight and we're too far off the top four to compete there, this is now a reasonably pressure free situation for him to earn the right to be in the squad next year. It's a chance I think he'll take.

If Costa leaves then I see Paco Alcácer as a great option to come in. Much like Fuser I am a big fan of Dybala and think he's the kind of striker, in the Aguero mould, that we need; someone to compliment a striker like Costa - that's why we shouldn't forget Jonathan Calleri. He fits that mould and if Inter don't get a deal done for him in January then there's a great chance he'll sign for us in the summer.

Alcácer, Calleri and Bamford as our strikers next year? I think there's a lot of potential goals in those three but there's one more player who can't be ignored. If not this summer then certainly the one after Dominic Solanke will be knocking on the first team door. He's going to be absolute dynamite! Maybe a year on loan in the BPL next year but he'll be a star and should be intergrated into the first team as soon as possible.

Sadly Lukaku is not an option if you have read the posts from ED02 so I can't understand people mentioning him. Assuming we miss out on CL next season it is very unlikely a big name will join so it is important we try to keep Costa. Solanke is worth bringing back and maybe Ighalo from Watford or Vardy of Leicester.

Hold on. 1 season out of the champions league? Why won't players join us? Didn't Mata join United when they weren't in the CL? Can't see the problem with us signing players to be honest. They don't sell the club based on one season, it's a project.

Lukaku, Dybala and Embolo

Or instead of Embolo, Traore, Bamford, Kenedy, Solanke or Izzy Brown.

I would like traore to start tomorrow as he hasn't been given a chance this season. Was fantastic the second half of last season and would love to see him make it.

My three picks would be either aubamayang or lacazette as my first choice striker. And second I would berahino as he is young can score in the prem and English. Third choice I'd like to sign young embolo and give him some game time as he looks a class young act. Failing embolo I'd put traore or Bamford 3rd choice as they look like they could do a job for us. I think Solanke could do with another loan whether it's at vitesse or in England I feel one more season and then he could come back and challenge.
I feel all of these strikers have the physical capabilities and enough pace about them to thrive in the league and also I feel if we are able to get texeira this month and griezmann in the summer they would also add enough firepower to make us a deadly attacking dude with goals from all angles.

I would prefer Costa to stay but if he or any other player wants to leave then let them. If he where to leave then aubameyang/ higuain or cavani would be a good replacement. I think Oscar should be the one player the club should move on as he has sale value and I don't think is consistent enough. A replacement for Oscar would be greizman/ Isco or goetze. Lastly if hazard does look to move to Madrid then we should push for bale in return.

Whoever we might buy in that centre forward role HAS to be able to head the ball or you lose out on crosses; Costa cannot head the ball which is a weakness. Given he can head the ball and shoot with both feet, I think Cavani would be good value with Griezmann and Teiexira. We still need a play-maker which means Oscar and Fabregas need to be sold. As was pointed out, Lukaku will never set foot in Chelsea again and why anyone would play Bamford I will never know, he is not PL quality.
