I feel if we can get another winger like James or Griezmann, I think it'll both take the pressure off of Hazard and allow for multiple channels of attack. Throw Willian in the middle and allow the trio to move as an amoeba throughout the match, moving to whichever midfield position the match takes them. Assuming Costa stays, I think this will be our best possible form of attack. We see Hazard and Willian do this on occasion but we lack that other winger, I just don't think Pedro cuts it. Let me know what you guys think!

James is a central player and arguably less mobile than Oscar.

I'd love to add Griezmann. Hazard and him in support of Costa. And then instead of putting another attacking midfielder in there, I'd throw in an extra central midfielder to be able to control the middle (something we've lacked this season) .
That would also free up Hazard and Griezmann a bit more. If only we could get him.

I would love to see Griezmann as Chelsea player as well. But that's not going to be easy.

Griezmann would be ideal but he needs a strong central midfield backing him and we also need and this will upset many, a better centre forwrd than Costa. Costa cannot head the ball, drifts to his left too much and of course you can only antagonise defences for so long before you are in trouble as we have found to our cost. I am sure Costa will be gone and although i have been a little so, so with Higuain, he does have an excellent scoring record and would be an ideal front man.

It has nothing to do with Costa,Chelsea started playing that way when Mourinho took over, we had absolutely the same problem with Torres(all the time on the wing almost never inside of the box). Then Costa came and in the beginning first 4 months he was inside the(during that period he scored almost all his goals- at least absolute majority). Suddenly in January or February he started playing wide.
What I believe is that we have wrong tactical approach which hasn't changed after Mourinho left.
Conte plays with 2 strikers sometimes even 3 and I believe Chelsea will look quite different in the future.
Hiddink didn't change tactical approach formation during his first spell at Chelsea. He hasn't changed anything as well second time. His role was both times psychological more than anything else and he was successful with that task.

I totally agree with you about Torres and again he was wasted out there but no manager is going to tell his centre forward to play out wide as that negates any crosses which we are only adept at from corners or set pieces when the big boys go up, forward wise we are dreadful in the air. As much as Costa helped us I think he also hindered us with his disruption to play. Once again it is about personal preferences and I would never have bought him, never felt he wanted to come and any decent centre forward could have scored the goals he did.

Well, Torres is a box player in Atletico. Costa was also spending time in the box when he was Atletico player.
Our tactical approach is that our wingers run into the box together with our number ten.
I would call it tikki-takka in attempt.
