Where is sharkey?

Believable2 Unbelievable4

You mean the Sharkey who made lists of players that he felt that we needed to buy which would cost us a total of £750M in transfer fees? {Ed001's Note - I never saw Sharkey post player lists.}

Agree4 Disagree0

Ah you're right Ed. It was "Blue Is The Colour" or someone with a name like that.

I do recall this Sharkey chap having some strange predictions though that weren't even close. {Ed001's Note - I spoke to Sharkey a lot, he was mostly posting on the financial side of things and he was very right about Chelsea spending big in January, even though I was doubtful before hand.}

why does everybody seem so keen on Anelka going? probably one of our best players last season?

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I'm not keen on selling Anelka. But I'm sure that he'll want guaranteed playing time which, let's be honest, he won't get.

Now if he was willing to take a substitute role, then sure, keep him. But I doubt that he wants that.

Seeing that he's still pretty fit, I'm sure that in his mind he still has many years left in which to help a team. Personally, I see him going to MLS and actually doing better than Thierry Henry.

Some outlets are reporting a deal is close with Barcelona but I just don't get it. The club is already tight for cash even though they will have ibrahimavic's transfer money freed up. I just think their #1 target is Fabregas and it will take in the region of £80M to get both and I can't see Barca throwing down that kind of cash.

Barca is signing Fabregas they close to sign A.Sanchez wit Jeffren going to Udine. Also they will sign Rossi for 40millEur. Barca is geting 25mill for Ibrahimovic if stays in ACM but if goes somwhere else like Citeh they will get 35mil. So expect that Barca will by Aguero, Bojan Krkic will go for loan.

Don't you think we could sell some players first like Anelka, Malouda, Ferreira, Zhirkov, Bosingwa as a start.. So we can sign other players without facing transfer cost problems!!

Chelsae is trying to sign A.Sanchez and Neymar. Young expensive players who may not found themselves in EPL. I do not understand why Chelsea is moving for A.Young&S.Downing who would together cost less than Sanchez. Both of them are excellent and proven EPL players. Sneijder&Lukaku are excellent targets and Chelsae will most probably sign both of them. Mi opinion Sanchez&Neymar are waste of money. Also CFC is set to bring 19 y.o. Belg. left winger Kevin de Bruyne for 9m.

phil jones having a medical at old trafford from skysports, are we not going to sign anyone, do we have to wait till the eleventh hour again.ed? {Ed001's Note - there will be players signed, it is early yet, the international window does not open until July 1st.}

Eds i just read chelsea officials will meet Lukaku and his agent in Monaco on Saturday. Is there any trusth in this? Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't know, this is when Ed002 is needed!}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ed002 , , , would go like "i don't know , why are you throwing names , not until dependencies are solved" never gives an answer :S {Ed001's Note - that normally means he has been asked to keep his mouth shut! I know it frustrates him but friendship has to come first at the end of the day!}

Ed, do you no the reason behind Robben leaving? to this day i still dont understand why we sold him. He was a class act. {Ed001's Note - money, he wanted more money.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

We should of give it him he was a great player and well worthy of a pay rise. Looks like were guna miss out on Aguero aswell for the same reason. So frustrating I dont no whos worse the player or the club for continuously missing out on top class attacking players.

Ed, do you think Chelski may move for Nasri? I hope so! {Ed001's Note - I can't see it, I expect him to end up staying at Arsenal with a nice fat pay rise.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Thats ashame, Torres would be a different player with somebody as creative as that behind him.

"long term replacement".

Nah, the guy turns 27 on Thursday. Maybe a short term replacement, but with him 30 in a few seasons, don't see him as someone who will play for us years and years.

If five years is not long term what is it then.

Believable0 Unbelievable11

How about 10 - which is the amount of years the guy he would be replacing has played for us.

And who is to say he would stick around for 5 years anyway? We get stuck with morons like Kalou for 5 years but can't keep Robben.

Learn how to post here dude. When you copy and paste part of a conversation from halfway down the page and re-post it, it makes no bloody sense who you're talking about. Just click on "Reply To This Post" and keep it all in one area. Sheesh...

Ed I don't understand some of the Alexis Sanchez transfer business. First off their valuation of the player is too steep for United also United appear to be set on Ashley young. Barca won't spend that kind of money unless its on Fabregas they also have no real need for him with pedro showing his worth this season as well as world beaters in Messi and Villa. He won't go to Juventus because Udinese qualified for the Champions League and Juventus didn't even qualify for the Europa League so it's a sideways move. Manchester City appear at least a believable destination because they can offer Champions League football as well as meet Udinese's demands. Inter makes some sense in the fact that they could use a player like him and they could come close to Udinese's valuation however I'm not sure how much Udinese would like to sell to an Italian competitor. I'm just somewhat confused. {Ed001's Note - Udinese don't want to sell at all, that is why they messed Chelsea around so much. They are looking for a huge fee, probably talking £40m+.}

We will miss out on Sanchez, Aguero ect as usual because chelsea arent willing to pay what is required to bring these class acts to the bridge this is why we always miss out on top signings. We need atleast 2 creative midfielders. Nasri, Sneijder would be good. then we need 2 attacking forwards to play either side of torres say Sanchez, neymar, pastore or Aguero but chelsea wont invest to much because there to stubbern.

Agree0 Disagree10

Aren't willing to pay???? Are you drunk? We laid out £50M plus just last winter for Nando Torres, and almost £31M for Shevchenko 6 years ago.

When Roman wants someone, he will spend the money.

The guys that get away (like Ozil), are the ones that go for a lot less money or don't want to come here in the first place. The money part we can control, and have no clue why we don' go after talented "bargains" - them not wanting to come here is out of our control.

From a reliable source there is a statement going around saying this ("Roman Abramovich is ready to sanction a £90m spending spree to get Chelsea back to the top of European football with Tottenham's Luka Modric, Brazil starlet Neymar and Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez the top targets")

any truth in this

Believable2 Unbelievable7

£90M is that all?

I read £120M elsewhere haha

If we end up with Hiddink again, don't be surprised if it's just Sneijder and VdW (Dutch connection and all).

Agree10 Disagree1

We need at least 200million to get the players we need 90 million is not guna do it

Agree10 Disagree0

Sneijder 50 mil van der wiel 15 mil lukaku 20 mil de bruyne 10 mil neymar (maybe) 40 mil

Sneijder 50 million??? Are you talking US dollars or pound sterling?

Ed do think it is likely we will make a bid for Sneijder he is the perfect long term replacement for Lampard in my opinion it would be much better than trying to get pastore {Ed001's Note - both halves of Manchester are after Sneijder, I am not sure his price and age would end up being worthwhile because of those two bidding.}

Believable1 Unbelievable12

German club Hamburg paid a combined 2.5 million for the three players manciene, sala & tore. Such a disgrace! ! chelsea are very bad selling club. they usually allow people to go on free agents (like joe cole, borini, rajkovic( he was bought for a heavy price tag as an teenager if people remember), ballack, deco, belleti, cudicini) and also sell their youngsters at dirt cheap prizes. tore was a good prospect for future. being a chelsea fan it is very bad feeling to know that the so called management is so bad in their logical thinking. most of the people are fantacising about new signings like neymar and others, but wud club succeed holistically until the club syops divorcing managers every 18 months or so.

then i don't know what wud happen to bruma , bertand, kalas, kakuta if chelsea do sign expensive players like subotic, pastore and others. infact i think we can use bertrand as an attacking right back. chelsea have ample people to cover left back position like van anholt and ben gordon.

Rajkovicis formaly still Chelsae player. Problem was that club coudn't get working permit for him since he did not play any games in his national team (competion Ivanovic, Vidic, Subotic&Kolarov-Serbia has probably strongest defence in europe). Appearently Rajkovic played 3 or 4 games for his nat.team including one today vs Australia. so he'll be able to get permit.

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Have you lost the plot? Ryan Bertrand at RB? He's only got a left foot, and Ben Gordon is a RB not a LB! Gordon isn't good enough to play for Chelsea's first team, Bertrand may be if they give him a chance, I personally think he's better than Van Aanholt but the club thinks otherwise. Buy Van Der Wiel and have Bertrand as back up to Cole in my opinion!

Agree6 Disagree0

If Zhirkov leaves to get more first team action (pretty much expected), what would you think of PvA taking over his role (LB, LW) He seems to have some dribbling skills. Bertrand can eventually take over for Cole (unless we go after someone like Fabio Coentrao).

Ed, Are we not even considering a move for Nasri? He's a class player! Proven in the PL, very creative, scores goals hes exactly what were missing. why would we not want move on a player like this? {Ed001's Note - it seems Nasri is just looking for a big pay rise, so I doubt anyone will end up bidding for him, unless he doesn't get one of course.}
