For anyone who doesn't know we are playing man city in an u21 game live on bt sport now.

Christensen, Ake, Loftus-Cheek and Solanke are all starting. Boga is on the bench.

Not a massive fan of Mitchell Beeney, think it's safe to say he'll never make it at the top level.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's also on Chelsea TV (and online) for those who don't have BT Sport.

Mn, it has nothing to do with his defensive duties; the point is that when he gets in and around the box, he tends to release a rather tame shot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

(Meant to be a reply to an earlier post about fabregas, not a personal attack hah)

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed Alex.

I know you have mentioned on the Liverpool page that Inter were trying to sell Icardi so that they can get Shaqiri. As they have now got him on loan, has the situation changed with regard to his transfer to Chelsea. thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I would never had said that - I might of said that Inter need to sell to buy - as to most clubs - and Icardi is a player they are looking to sell.}

Sorry for misunderstanding ed02.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not a problem Sid.}

Hi ed, any news on Hazard signing this contract, I think the Spanish vultures may circle in the summer if not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really have no interest in contracts - sorry.}

Sorry it was ed01 who said "inter are trying to sell Icardi to chelsea to fund his signing"

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Sort of truly evil thing he would do. In simple terms, clubs have to balance the books and Inter are trying to do a reasonable amount of business this month - and they need to pay for that.}

So man city expected to sign Bony. Does this make them favourites?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just to add on to the transfer chat but what do you make of Shaquri? Upgrade to Salah at least. maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a qaulity player, however, there's a reason Munich want rid. His attitude is terrible and is one of the most inconsistent players I've seen. On his day he's of the same quality as the top players. However, I've seen that about once in the World cup in one game. Never seen him play like it apart from that.

I think we should give Baker or Boga or whatever youth players we have that spot.

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems he's off to inter anyway mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Bony can be a very dangerous player for them and a real asset in the title race. Him and Aguero partnered up front is difficult for any defense.
Let's hope our guys get it together and go on a winning streak. We're going to need it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure about Bony making them favourites. he's off to the ACON so won't benefit them for the next few weeks. When they have all their players fit, they will face the same problem as when Tevez was there. too many options (and possibly difficult to keep all happy). I assume one of their forwards will be leaving (Jovetic)?

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon jovetic will be off too

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be nice to see Boga get a chance. Does Traore still have work permit issues?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, I don't know how it all works, use the search function, I'm sure Ed002 did a peice on it a while back

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You won't know if an issue actually still exists until an application is made. However, he is a regular for BF now and that is the primary criteria so when an application is made it may well be looked on with sympathy.}

Georgebest_26 - yes, Traore still needs a WP

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He will always need a work permit.}

MCFC is in need of 4th striker so it makes every sense to sign Bony.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he keeps playing well at Vitesse second half of the season. Maybe then he'll get his shot in the first team. He could (attacking wise) be a very useful players. Pretty good shot from distance as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, I should have specified if he still had work permit issues or not. I thought he had been playing a lot for BF and obviously a lot on loan too. He seems a real talent and although young, he seems to be a game changer.

Just an interesting question, and one that i'm sure can't be answered all that easily due to the conjecture of it but, as Traore is now 19 I wonder how he compares to Hazard, Messi, Ronaldo etc when they were 19?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not really fair to compare Traore to them at similar ages though. Traore only started playing matches in a league at 18. Before he just trained with the youth teams (or something like that). So he probably had to get used to that first. But he's done pretty well IMO. I like him a lot. Great touch on the ball and a good shot on him.

I think the kind of loan hazard and piazon are presently on would be the best solution. Gives him another year of regular football. Allows him another full year of playing for BF to make getting a work permit easier. Finally by I find it very likely one of Schurrle or Willian will be gone clearing a path for him.

Fabregas scored some absolute screamers from outside the box during his time with arsenal, where has that gone, his shots these days seem really weak.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Barcelona effect ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas played more offensive role at Arsenal. He also scored quite a few goals playing for Barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

That has nothing to do with it mn, he takes shots they just aren't the bullets we saw when he was at the gunners

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't have so many defensive tasks as he has now.

Who else misses Mourinho of his first stint. Was so much better, he's so grumpy now lol.

My favourite quote 'I arrived with my ego massive, now it's even bigger'.

Ed2 do you see Chelsea expanding, such as doing what Man city have done and purchasing other clubs in different countries?

I think it would be a smart move.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea and Barcelona were the two clubs that had originally applied to be considered for MLS franchises - perhaps 2006 or so - but neither took it up. I cannot see any benefit to Chelsea if the owner also owned a club in, say, Australia.}

Thanks for that, interesting.

And oh I would! It would be the closest thing I could watch live to chelsea lol

Agree0 Disagree0

In all seriousness though, if Chelsea bought Brisbane Roar, then I'm sure it would bring in more fans and popularity, but what do I know haha

Eds are chelsea going to be offering a contract to khedira?
Also any interest in Micah Richards?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - (a) No, (b) Richards is on loan for the season.}
