Great news With Kovavic, really improves the side.
Although I’m very excited about Kepa, at this stage I wouldn’t say he’s as good as Courtois but he will get there. Last year a lot of people on this page claimed Morata and Bakayoko were better than Costa and Matic. We just need to remember that lol

Well all the usual negs have had their say this window, comments like "This is the level Chelsea are at et al". Well **** you. We do compete at the top table, Some very exciting signings indeed, from Sarri as manager to a world record fee for a top top keeper to keeping top top players like Hazard, Kante and Willian, to intergrating top youth players like Callum Hudson-adoi. Arrizabalaga and Kovacic coming in will probably be it for this window. But there is a fair bit of business to be done heading out of the door.
I would expect both Zouma (Everton) and Drinkwater (Leicester) to both be out of the door by the time the window closes tomorrow.
I also expect Bakayoko (AC Milan) to head out the door pretty soon. But a few others such as Zappacosta (somewhere in Italy) might well be gone before the end of the European window.
Giroud and Batshuayi can wait until a few games into the season to see how many mins they get before moving to a European club on loan if they, and the club, choose to.
I'm super excited about this season and the type of football we could be seeing at the Bridge, just have to be patient for the first few weeks.

As far as I know, it's just a "regular" loan, so no option to buy. However if he does well, I reckon Chelsea will probably try and get a permanent deal for him.

I didn’t see anything about an option on Chelsea’s official statement but a lot of sources claim there is including Sky Sports. Possibly we will find out when the deals properly go through following medicals and personal terms for Courtois. Fingers crossed that there is an option to buy him.

they must see something matt to let michy out on loan mate and keep morata tammy i agree bit raw still i must admit i've a soft spot for giroud i like his attitude just gets on with it and i know he doesn't bang them in but he's good at bringing others into the game
i do think we will be in top 4 this year and mount a challenge next year when we get the players that suit sarris style just hope he gets time to implement it.
i have a good feeling i just think the club has gone in a positive direction after the doom and gloom of conte everything seems more settled imo

Agree completely, keepers are so valuable nowadays and although Oblak was there he didn’t want to move, apparently this kid is really confident smart, great footballer and obviously young, could be our keeper for next 7 years and still only be hitting 30yrs old . shame we bought rob green in as I’d of liked cech as a coach for the boy.

Ed001 seeing as you know a lot on how Sarri plays I was thinking do you know if Hazard could play the « Mertens » role. As the main striker almost a false nine. I think Eden will flourish in this position with Willian and Hudson-Odoi off him. Just an idea cause honestly I don’t think Morata is the answer, perhaps Michy?!
{Ed001's Note - not a bad idea that, I am sure he could do. It might even suit him better than it did Mertens. He has all the attributes to do it that is for sure. The only thing is that it would then leave you short in the positions behind the striker out wide.}

Yeah it would, maybe Moses could be cover along with Pedro. Plus we have the Europa league this year as well. So I think everyone would have a fair run out. Think we’re sorted in misfiled and central defense, not sure about Alonso, except from his goals I don’t think he brings much to the team.

Excellent suggestion ELI but I also think we need some aerial threat which does bring Morata into play and later in a game Giroud. I don't think Sarri will play Hudson-Odoi every game but his performances against Bellerin and Walker were outstanding and warrants more rather than less for him which means Willian, Morata and Giroud, possibly Batshuayi fighting over the last spot.

I think it such a circumstance we’d have paid him the money. Ed002 has said previously that in such circumstances it becomes a lot more expensive as the amount of money is taxed. So I’m assuming that we simply paid it directly to the club.

In patches he played really well. When he runs from deep he’s near unstoppable but he went quiet often too but that might be just getting back to full fitness.

He should have scored, hit the post. From what I've seen in Sarri's post-match interview, we're going to keep him this season. It looks like Bakayoko is going on loan to AC Milan and Drinkwater on loan to West Ham, so he'll definitely get game time.
