Am I right in saying that Jose was quoted in saying that Rooney is the only striker target we are interested in or all transfers? De Rossi would be a great addition to our squad and would fit right in where we should be selling Mikel off, should have cut him loose 3 seasons ago. Scott M.

As things stand I would say our best 11 would be :
cech
azip ivanovic cahill cole
luiz
KDB oscar mata hazard
torres
I personally don't think rooney is the answer to our striker problem. Suarez would be a better option and demands lower wages. DZeko from city would be another decent option. Todays reports suggest luiz could be going to barcelona for £40m. I hope he doesn't but 9/10 barca get whoever they want. If indeed this does happen then we should pay £30m for gundogen from dortmund. My two ultimate buys would be reus to play as striker and gundogan.

Gundogan and Reus isn't going to happen
I disagree I don't think Cahill is a good defender for our standards.
I agree with the previous poster about Cahill not being good enough, he doesn't take on dribblers he just keeps backing up until he's next to Chech lol. Also I love the kid Van Ginkel in dm along with Essien who seems rejuvenated, well be fine in defense with Luiz and Ivan as starting cbs.
Bluelab
I wouldn't worry about a best 11.
There is enough talent in the squad to set out a starting 11 that fits the opposition.
We only need a star striker and perhaps a replacement for Mikel

I'm hoping we get Rooney but come last few days of transfer window if he is not a CFC player then go for Suarez, especially if it turns out his contract has 40m Claus in it
How could he have a clause? Arsenal bid £40,000, 001 and got turned down. The only one claiming his clause is a release clause is the rodent. Only a month ago he claimed he wanted to leave because of the Brittish Press. Now he is actively giving interviews to the Brittish press saying he was 'promised' he could leave if they didn't make CL. He is a cockroach and will never be loyal to any club.

Would prefer keeping Luiz to signing Rooney. VBS

This will be my team tonight:
Azpi, Iva, Cahill, Cole; MvG, Mikel; KDB, Mata, Hazard; Lukaku.
I reckon we'll struggle with no keeper! Lol. Apart from Mikel, looks good

Rooney will be superb, just the way we play, can't wait, don't get suarez, will be another torres, rooney is perfect for lone striker.

I'd love a cheeky bid for Eto'o and one for Willian after Anzhi need to fire-sell, £40 million for the two of them would be a great deal.
Eto isent the same player he used to be plus the wages the two or on but if anzi accepet 30 mil for the to I would take it no prob
07 Aug 2013 20:25:25
I'll like Eto'o if he'll take a massive paycut.
How olds eto now days?
Eto is Jurassic
Why oh why do you care about wages?
You're not paying them. Get over it
Get realistic.
Wages and transfer fees determines whether a club goes after a player.
Eto is on £350k/wk - he's not worth it, even for a low transfer fee

To be honest Chelsea should seriously consider buying Suarez
We all know he has a bad image but he is fantastic player. mourinho could always help him out
And playing for champions league team would obviously up his game for good
Talking about Rooney, he's a proven premier league star but just because he's got competition with RVP he doesn't want to fight for his place and leave.
he will have more competition in Chelsea because ---we have a young promising striker in lukaku
- Torres who's returning to his old best
- a good supporting striker in Ba
though one will be offloaded
comparing strikers at United rooney has RVP as a genuine competition whereas in Chelsea there will be more
I bet Suarez will fight for his place with more determination and will power than Rooney
thats it. that's the reason I want Suarez more than Rooney

U're correct absolutely.
I'd rather not win the league than have Suarez in a blue shirt.
United also have wellbeck and Hernandez let's not forget, there just as much conpetition at either club for a place up front.
Because the dressing room would be fine with a teething child who likes to bite people?
Mug.
United have Welbeck, GREAT, hope they keep him.
A striker who only scores 2 goals in a season isn't of any use to anyone.

Y don't we go for suarez 45 million bid and 120000 pounds a week rooney 250000 a week do the maths roman and jose
Luis Suarez represents to me everything that is bad about modern day football regardless of his ability. The media would have a field day after the biting fiasco plus I don't think he suits us. Rather have Rooney who would flourish under Mourinho.
EH17
Because I don't think he wants a move to another english club he wants out of england
Nothing to do with Premier League he simply just wants the money.
