Marca claim the reason Alvaro Morata didn't celebrate his goals this year is because he wanted to vindicate himself after Gianfranco Zola questioned his behaviour and performances.

Morata wanted to respond with a gesture showing how he feels.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed0333's Note - or he didn’t celebrate because he didn’t score that much

06 Jan 2019 21:51:48
A lot of what Zola said was true and complimentary.

The other thing is it’s Marca.!

I think Morata sulks more than my 3 year old. He a player that needs cuddling.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2019 11:40:14
Oh poor old hard dumb by Morata. Grow some balls man, start putting a shift in, fighting for the shirt, fighting for the ball, stop moaning and concentrate on putting the ball in the net. Simple. Let the Goals do the talking not your moody celebrations. But to be honest even Stevie Wonder could see that’s zola was telling the truth.

07 Jan 2019 12:40:34
It's been so long since he scored that he's forgotten how to celebrate a goal!

Jose will go to Madrid and he will get hazard, he will ask and Madrid will give him what he wants, will get big transfer kitty,

What Hazard says publically about Jose and what he thinks privately about him are two very different things.

{Ed0333's Note - that’s like most marriages 🤣

If Jose returns to Real (which I doubt), it is good news for us cos Hazard would not want to play under Mourinho again (regardless of what he says publicly) .

You know what apart from West Brom away a few years ago under Mourinho I don't think I've ever seen Courtois save another penalty or am I wrong? 🤔

It's great seeing him struggle the grass isn't always greener the other side.

lol why should we respect him. He’s a snake we knees he wanted to leave he didn’t have to go AWOL and disrespect the club or the fans. We got rid of Cech for him, got rid of the goalkeeping coach for him and he still wasn’t happy. Good riddance I say I love Kepa already.

i agree tom but its not like he left for money . i no he took advantage of his contract situation an held cfc to ransom but he was just doimg what he needed to do to be with his kids same as i would for my little daughter.

Kante, stop being a fan and try to remember these players are human beings.

If it was as reported, a family issue, ’I would be disappointed if a member of my family didn’t put his kids first.

I know I would.

07 Jan 2019 07:19:58
Why don't we just move on. We've got Kepa now, he's got a higher potential ceiling, got a decent fee for Courtois. He wasn't at fault for either goal yesterday to be fair, made a few crucial saves to keep Madrid in it as well.

The only thing that gives me the hump about players who leave our magnificent club is if they slag us off when they join their new club.

It cheeses me off no end years ago when Hudson and Hollins did it when they joined Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2019 12:46:26
Hudson to Arsenal? The thing I can't forgive Courtois for is his comments last summer saying that Hazard should join him in Madrid - also, he already had his children when he returned to Chelsea from Atletico; why didn't he refuse to come back then?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2019 15:40:23
Yes MDW Hudson went to Arsenal.

If I remember correctly he left us for Stoke and then went to Arsenal shortly after.

He said something about Arsenal FC being class and us being rubbish.

To be honest, I don’t remember Courtois saying anything detrimental about our club but I stand to be corrected.

As far as asking Hazard to join him at RM, my guess is, every player in the world would like Hazard TLT join them at their respective club.

Is the Appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a Masterstroke by Manchester United?

Leonardo Paredes is a player I would like us to sign. From what I have seen of, though little, he's very talented and will improve us and effectively replace Fabregas.

Never heard of him myself, is he much of an improvment if Ampadu? Let’s not forget Fabregas has barely featured so I don’t think it’s worth spending big on someone with Ampadu already at the bridge.

Visiting Forest supporter here who wants to say a thank you to the fans I met in the Kona Kai bar yesterday.
I know I shouldn't have been in there but I had left the Courtfield in earls court full of idiots and finished up having a couple in your bar.
Made to feel really welcome and wish I had gone in there early doors.
For me I thought your passing play was a joy and we were chasing shadows all gaem.
2-0 flattered us a bit and thankfully Morata didn't have his shooting boots on.

Good luck to you and I seriously hope you go on and win it.

Not really regarding Chelsea here, but a question for my fellow blues brothers:
Henry's Monaco really struggling for leaders at the minute and are doing awful this season. Fabregas will be a big signing for them, he should get space to hit balls into Falcao.

my question is, should henry look to the premier league for more players. people like Gary Cahill who have won it all. Monaco is a very appealing place would he like to go there for a year or 2 or 3 at the tail end of his career? i would.

There's plenty of experienced players in the premier league. Should snap up easily if they did want to go. Fabregas an Cahill are 2 that come to mind. Add them 2 into Monaco i bet they'd be a completely different side cause they'd have 3 leaders in Cahill, Fabregas and Falcao.

I would agree. Monaco have some real talented youth players but after last summer transfer window, majority of their very good players left.

Adding some experience would definitely help with helping the young players and also getting some points on the board.

£50m for an over 30’s player. Never going to happen in signing Cavani.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Jan 2019 09:43:38
A bit of common sense was needed from the newspaper journalist. Impossible that Chelsea spend anything close to 50million on Cavani.

I would take Cavani for 50m everyday. He would bring goals which could mean we make top 4 (which probably will cover 50m fee just by playing in it)

I desperately want the likes of Odoi, James, Cheek, Mount and Abraham all playing for Chelsea asap.

Our club is being linked with players that may well hinder the chances of these players.

The fans and more importantly the club have to make difficult choices.

In my opinion we have to trust the club and the management team to make those decisions.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

06 Jan 2019 08:59:49
Out of those players, only Abraham, in my opinion, doesn't have the ability to make it at the club. I don't think he's a bad player, he's probably too good for our bench, but he'll never be the regular he wants to be.

Personally I'm keen to see as much of the youth break through as possible. Whilst recognising the difficulties, and pressure on managers to win, you have to ask yourself - would Mount be worse than Barkley? Would James be worse than Zappacosta? Would CHO be worse than Pedro or Willian (that one's rhetorical)?

When clubs like, with all due respect, Wolves and Palace are taking players from us it's an indication they're not ready for a top team an might never be ready. Clubs like Bayern wanting our players should raise eyebrows.

On this note there were some interesting comments from CHO after yesterday's game, all about keeping his head down, working hard in training and hoping for more mins.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 09:51:15
It's safe to say RLC and CHO have pretty much made it out of the academy.

RLC has been extremely unlucky with injuries since breaking into the first 11 and CHO is doing his chances no harm and also the publicised Bayern approach probably fast tracks him because his ability is there to be seen. He just needs to be patient. He will get the opportunity now.

I think Mount will have his work cut out breaking into our first 11, Abraham probably makes the bench. James has the potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 10:29:34
Loftus-Cheek - is he becoming too injury prone? Constantly suffering with a bad back.

Mount - Do we really know how good he is until he's played in the Prem? let's be honest, Championship is hardly a great place to see if a player can make the step up.

Tammy - looks very good in the Champ, but ordinary in the Swansea team last season. Id rather loan him out then sell him, but needs game after game and see how he goes from there.

Reece James - again scouting him on his youth and League 1 games. Hardly the highest of challenges is it? We all thought a lot of these youngsters were the next big thing and then went missing. Josh McEachran anyone?

Odoi - Yes, needs to be in the team week in week out and totally agree with Zola and Sarri - he does need to work on his defensive side. Great going forward but like Hazard can often leave the full back exposed.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 12:14:05
I do believe that Abraham can make it at chelsea, just look at Harry Kane (was nothing special on his loans, but was given a chance at spurs and started scoring for fun) .

Also Mount still has a lot to learn to be classed as good as Barkley. Put Barkley in that Derby Team and he will be Championship player of the season.

Don't put too mych expectations on the youngsters as PL is hard league and really few young player make it.
