Just putting this out there - It seems a lot of Chelsea fans want him for next season but has Pep Guardiola done a great job at Bayern Munich? Is winning the league there, a relatively uncompetitive league, a measure of greatness? For me if you are a top manager then, for a spell at a club like Bayern, you have to be winning the Champions League.

He still has a really great chance of winning it this season, they are playing magnificently well and I wouldn't surprise to see them in final getting beaten by Chelsea :D (if one could dream)

My only concern about guardiola is that he has never stayed at a club longer than three years so I feel even he did come in and do well he may well leave after 3 or 4 years to start a new challenge which may leave us with a hard task to find a suitable new manager.

You hardly can see modern managers staying beyond 3 or 4 seasons at the top clubs because of the competitiveness of the game. Wenger is in a world of his own. Where the manager would like to stay the club might be craving for something different. Having Diego, Conte or Allegri for 3 or 4 perfect seasons will be superb.

Why we're even being linked to Allegri is beyond me? Pep is clearly number 1 choice but I'd like Mauricio Pochettino as first choice 👍🏻 turned Spurs in to a great team to watch, tightened their defence up to the best in the league and gives kids a chance! Win Win!

Chelsea Nick, I would love Pochetinno too but I don't believe there is a slightest chance of him joining.

Looks like drogba is in his way to assist, as he is apparently retiring from playing, should lift everyone.

Saw that as well, amazing to see him happy to give up his starring role in the MLS and his playing career purely to come and help us again.
The new stadium should have a statue of the King!

He is denying it now, but hopefully it will happen soon,

How's that helping the club when he will be fully paid for his work? Footballers are so overrated like they are some special beings.

Ed, Juan Jesus and Fredy Guarin, two players we previously had interest in, take it we have no interest anymore?
Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I have absolutely zero interest and no time to answer random questions about random players.}

06 Jan 2016 19:29:56
Okay Ed, sorry if that annoyed you, wasn't the intention.

{Ed002's Note - Don't worry.}

Hi Ed's,

Several news outlets are reporting Chelsea have submitted a bid of around £44m to Everton for John Stones.

Do you know whether there is any truth in it?

All the best

Sean

PS - keep up the good work.

Eds are real making hazard their main transfer target for the summer?
I believe if real are showing an interest then it's only going to end one way and that's with him joining them.
Also have Chelsea placed a bid for John stones in this window?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you mean by main. I have explained before that Real Madrid are interested in Hazard. At this time Chelsea has not made a bid for Stones.}

Listening to sports radio station and they talking about bamford getting a chance! Why do they make such a big deal bout it! It's no gamble is it! Only drogba has stepped up the rest been useless so he can't be any worse.

He is not that bad right now too, just the whole team is below par and without Costa we are struggling so bad which tells you a lot about his capabilities.

Do you know what kind of partnership

And is that what the negotiater was in Brazil for.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to that at this time, but everything has been concluded and the Chelsea representative has now returned fro Mrazil.}

Thankyou.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hello guys, with remy not getting any minutes and falcao being (or not being at all) non existant. What do you think if bamford stayed for the remainder of the season and fighted for his place?

Maybe he would get few minutes in one game ir another and maybe he can be our regular number 2 behid costa?

LRDlt, simply not good enough for our squad tbh. A good player, no doubt, but at championship level. Pardew is no mug, if he was the goods he would've got starts for Palace. A top striker would have nailed that chance he had the other day, he didn't, that is the difference between the very best and the very good.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Jan 2016 09:08:43
I half agree with you kiwi in the fact he should have nailed it at palace. It could have been the making of him! I do however see something in him though and he does have the talent to be a top top player. I'm not to sure if what goes on between his ears will Hinder that but I would like to see him get some game time with us for the rest of the season. In fairness with our situation there is no better time to blood in some of the young guns.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2016 09:54:29
Our team is not suited to a light weight forward as we have seen in passed weeks with hazard having a go. We only look good when we have a big physical presence like Costa or drogba to hold the ball up. Bamford is a good young player but with the team struggling I can't see that helping him in any way. Another two seasons on loan and then if he's not ready, sell him.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jan 2016 17:58:17
I think Patrick is a really good kid but quite honestly I don't think his cieling is nearly as high as somebody like Solanke. Like others have said, palace are currently desperate for a striker and if he was good enough (or close) don't you think pardew would've given him a shot? With that said this year we've gotten no use out of falcao and Monaco seem unlikely to take him back so we might hedge our bets by keeping both but I think traore is a better immediate solution.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Ajax and Monaco would both like to take Bertrand Traore on loan in January but with Chelsea struggling with forwards his versatility will be an asset and he will now likely stay.}
