Would like isco to come in but can't see it we have a decent midfield and others to come back from loan that play across midfield I don't see anyone coming in now we signed Ba especially with lukuka doing well at westbrom they will play rest of season with Torres or Ba upfront and lukuka back in the squad summer as midfielders everyone forgot Marin aswell not that impressed with him like but were flooded with midfielders that's thank roman he's got his cash out for Ba think he will do ok

Hi ed can you shed any light on Chelsea transfers no you said there scouting about but do you think there will be another attacker or midfielder coming in or would you expect Chelsea to bid for someone many thanks

ED002 are you back answering questions or was it just a flying visit back to the page? {Ed002's Note - A flying visit.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can you not answer just a couple of questions ED? {Ed002's Note - It really is not worth the grief. Sorry.}

..................... Cech .....................

Azipilcueta .. Cahill .. Ivanovic .. Cole

............ Luiz ...... Ramires .............

Isco ............ Mata ............. Hazard

.................... Ba .........................

Looks special to me.

The the front 3 behind Ba would all rotate positions, Oscar, Lampard, Mikel can cover the CM positions, with Moses, Marin and Oscar available for the 3 attacking positions.

Still feel we need a trade + cash deal with Torres for Cavani or Falcao.

PB

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think Isco, Mata, and Hazard would be too narrow, just like when Mata, Oscar and Hazard were all starting at the start of the season.

Badger

Agree1 Disagree0

As a liverpool supporter agree with the guy above, one thing chelsea don't have is genuine width or the option of marin and moses maybe..but if you need one player its a genuine winger

dont get me wrong isco is one hell of a player but with oscar and mata for the number 10 spot already, strengthening the wider ares of the three behind the striker should be a greater issue

fully fit and firing its

marin mata hazard for me but marin isnt up to speed yet

tomlfc

Agree2 Disagree0

Personally I believe isco is just a downgrade of Oscar.

Jordan

Agree1 Disagree0

The thing is as Ed002 has said on a few occasions, they want to buy versatile players, you can't see positions on the field as rigid, the 3 behind the striker will move and be fluid and play off there footballing brains not stay in rigid positions. This should lead to pockets opening up and causing defenders to get out of position.

Isco is a very good promising footballer of the mold of player we are trying to acquire, young, great technique and a good footballing IQ.

If he is a success then great we have a hell of a player, if he doesn't hes very young and a has a resale value.

We haven't even had any confirmation we've held talks with Malaga so we all might have got a bit giddy to early ha

PB

Agree1 Disagree0

Isco would be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 21:29:01
signing isco too you have some scary talent at chelsea.oscar mazzard mata moses isco azpilicueta lukaku de bryune, courtois, marin

where do they all fit, how do you accomodate oscar isco and mata in the same side seeing as they all like the number 10 role..... i have a feeling rafa isn t keen on oscar somehow

tom1975 (ynwa)

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Then Rafa is a fool bcause Oscar is s very good player.

Agree2 Disagree0

Its not that rafa isnt keen on oscar its that he likes to rotate the squad alot, and oscar has shown so much potential but he still is no where near as good as what he can be.

Cavani has grabbed a perfect hat trick .

MB

Believable2 Unbelievable0

What a player. Him and Fellaini and we are in another league.

Carefree

Agree4 Disagree3

Agree, for me Cavani is better suited to us than Falcao because of his style of play and work rate.
He works hard all over the pitch not just in the final third and is better in general play.
If anyone watched the Napoli Roma game last night they would have seen his work rate and never say die attitude which was as impressive as his hat trick.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yep, but Falcao has an impressive work rate and is a better finisher. Plus would be cheaper than Cavani by the sounds of it.

MB

Agree1 Disagree1

Carefree in still pretty sure we will be in the prem.

I am a LFC fan, however Chelsea's team is looking incredible. So much young talent that is not matched by any in most leagues. next season is yours for the taking

Believable4 Unbelievable2

How do you feel about Sturridge ? Mattm

Agree2 Disagree0

Thanks, purely depens on lamps and the striker situation imo

alessandro

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm pretty pleased with Sturridge really. We needed a striker who keeps his head down and just goes for it. The way BR is trying to get us to play means that Sturridge fits right in. Playing off the last defender. Also he can (although not preferred) play on the wing. good all round signing. We needed a striker so we bought one

Agree2 Disagree0

As another liverpool supporter i d have to agree..happy with sturridge he ll be good for us..

you re team has some scary talent in it though and with potentially singing isco phenomenal

one question though how to accomodate isco oscar and mata in one team

Agree2 Disagree0

It's more of a case of fitting them into the same squad than team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar deeper in the 2 man midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see however players like isco oscar or mata won't be happy on the bench for long

you will have

moses isco oscar mata hazard de bryune piazon and marin for three positions behind the striker

someone is gonna be leaving surely

Agree0 Disagree1

I had envisioned a switch to 4-1-2-3 in some games

with one holding mid and twoi attacking mids a striker and two wide players is a possibilty

I regularly check this site and it's turned into a bit of a joke. Ed002 has done this before, taken a break from the site, so just leave him and I'm sure he'll return at some point. There's no point being such brown noses about it, he knows the vast majority of chelsea fans on this site appreciate his work greatly (including me) and the ones who don't are mostly trolls and non-CFC fans.

Enough of that soap opera crap. I'd love us to get Isco! Quality player, huge resale value, affordable, question mark on whether we need him or not though. I think if Oscar drops deeper then we should go for him. Also Marin's performances thus far have been poor, and Isco is a definite upgrade on him, if the 'German Messi' (?) is to be sold. Also, Benat, the Betis midfielder, could be a good signing as a deep lying playmaker, a la Pirlo/Modric/Alonso/Scholes, and help the transition of the ball between defence and attack.

Finally, so glad to see a real striker playing for the blues, all we need now is a proper midfield pairing in front of the back four (a defensive minded player, Mikel, and a playmaker, perhaps Luiz, Benat or Oscar) and the sky is the limit!

Blue is the colour!

Tim

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Marin's played like two or three games so far ? He's been out injured all season, no point trying to get rid of him when he only joined like 4 months ago. Give the lad a proper chance in the team and he will show us that he is worth it.

Kinky Shane x

Agree7 Disagree1

I understand your point Kinky Shane x but there is no doubting who is the better player. Also i have seen Marin being linked with a move away, so i was just speculating.

Tim

Agree0 Disagree1

Marin is class, he gives something different than hazard & moses. he hogs the byline, a real winger. he needs to play, whilest af con is on im sure hell get his chance. BLUEBOY1

Agree2 Disagree0

Marin is a very slight player so it will definitely take him time to adjust to english football. his first performances havent been great but i think he will become a good squad player in time

Alright then, here is a difficult one for you

Who is the best winger in the league?

Billy

Ps. Where is Melbourne Cfc , props pissed at the no name posters( not all of them just the ones that accuse the Eds)

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Juan Mata, he floats so doesn't really have one position but i would say him atm, probs next is Bale but again he is floating in and out of positions.

PB

Agree2 Disagree2

An out and out winger then Gareth Bale.

MB

Agree6 Disagree3

06 Jan 2013 11:32:32
Mata aint a winger. As a matter of fact we dnt have any true traditional wingers...what we have is mostly No.10s. Bale is the best winger in the League. However, Mata is the best No.10 in the EPL at the moment imo.
BB.

Agree2 Disagree2

Antonio valencia

alessandro

Agree0 Disagree8

Gareth bale is by far best winger in league.. I wouldn't class Walcott as winger either.. Nani is hit and miss Ashley young is a diving person. Lennon is good,
Mattm

Agree2 Disagree1

Bale, Valencia and Hazard.

Carefree

Agree4 Disagree3

Mattm, Bale dives aswell... So does that mean he is a diving person?

MKBLUE

Agree1 Disagree0

Still around Billy, just don't post during the silly season. Far too many trolls around. I don't think the prem has a lot of great wingers. Lennon for me is probably the best traditional winger in England. Buckets of pace and a decent end product at times. Bale is obviously best when played there, but I think he is best suited as a fullback/wingback.

Melbourne CFC

Stuart Downing. the pace, the control and more importantly the assists. Any takers?

Torres and ba are going to terrorise defences. No one is going to fancy facing two of European footballs top strikers at least another trophy for us this season maybe two.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Torres couldn't terrorise a 5 year old girl

Agree16 Disagree1

Let's hope not

Agree7 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 11:35:09
U gotta laugh at that one. We all know who Torres is, defenders are just too happy with him. Ba will do a decent job though but not great, not done anything yet.
BB.

Agree2 Disagree2

You forget that Torres has got 14 goals these season...more than Rooney.

pR!

Agree1 Disagree4

Rooney has been playing with Hernandez and Rvp. Torres is our only striker

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 09:55:30
I for one would love to see Torres and BA start up top together, Torres would not wanna be out done by the new guy and think it would really pay off, both up front v Swansea and I'd be really pleased
Mattm

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Torres played up front on his own for Liverpool and plays up front on his own when he plays for Spain. He couldn't seem to play with Drogba or Sturridge in a (pair) and has only showed glimpses of his old self when playing for Chelsea on his own up front. He used to play very well with David Villa for Spain but then again Villa played out wide. When Cisse came into the Newcastle set up and they put Ba out wide, all of Ba's goals dried up. As soon as he was put back into the centre for Newcastle he started scoring again. I think Benitez will try them together but I'm not sure that it will actually work.

Agree6 Disagree0

Last one was a perfect post

Agree1 Disagree1

As long as he tries it ill be happy, I won't be happy with seeing either on bench and unhappy as cant be good for team.

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Jan 2013 08:26:04
Taking into consideration the fact that I haven't really seen him play much, and I'm only going on the hype surrounding him, Wilfried Zaha, for me, would appear to be a decent addition to the squad.

Young, England international, fast, skilful, direct, can play on the right wing or as a striker, would be a good impact player etc.

Would obviously have to develop his game whilst being behind Torres and Ba in the pecking order but would add good depth to the front line.
