Not going to lie, the prospect of us losing Hazard has me a wee bit excited. We’re currentky relaying way too much on a single player, and it’s completely foreign for a club of our stature, and for a big club in general.

Before Hazard, we used to rely on a number of footballers, offensively or defensively. Since 2013, we’ve become a shadow of what we once were. We’ve won a number of honours, sure, but there’s no doubting that our offensive game has relied on Hazard way too much. Likewise from a defensive point of view with Kante since 2016.

This summer, and in particularly Hazard’s departure should be used as a restart for this club. To wipe clean of the reliance this club, and it’s players have had, and to kick-start a fresh new era. One that doesn’t have 10 players turning towards one to create, or finish a chance.

Roll on the summer!

I agree in a way let’s get a few quality players in. Pepe and Fekir attacking wise and I’m hoping for either Koulibaly or Romagnoli for CB and either Mendy or Chilwell for LB. with Reece James returning as RB.

RyRy and Ranger, I’ve stated I would rather Hazard remained with us but I have to say I’m a bit like you guys, the idea of some players coming in allied with a few of our youngsters is very exciting and appealing.

I would rather him remain Tom if he says actually I love Chelsea whether real want me or not and sign not constantly flirt otherwise get rid. I love Hazard but I’ve had enough. It feels like we can’t move on as a club until he decides what to do which is quite frankly a joke.

To not rely on hazard we need to improve the squad. Not sell our best player. Excited to lose hazard . that’s interesting.

That’s why i said lose Hazard and replace him with two quality players in Fekir and Pepe. Try reading it properly. We’ll never replace Hazard with anyone better. So might as well just invest in a couple of quality players.

Would be exciting linked to some big names to replace him, but can’t help but think instead of Bakyoko n drinkwater and others we could of added these players and he would want to stay?

Let the best premier league player go I’ve heard it all now.

Nibby, The vast majority of fans don’t want him to go and I’m sure the club do NOT want him to leave, hence the contract offer.
It would appear he wants to leave and if that is the case I think the club will have no choice but to sell him with just one year left in his current contract.
It is NOT a case of the club letting him go!

I’m a Chelsea fan and I wouldn’t say he’s the best player.

Today we were linked with Lorenzo Insigne, Pablo Sarabia, and Richarlison. Who would you like to see as a Hazard replacement?

Personally, I'd go for Asensio as Hazard coming in would signal more time on the bench for him. He's got an incredible amount of talent, similar to Hazard when he moved to us in 2012.

I think we should look to get both Asensio and Dybala in the summer imo.

What’s Asensio done this year? F ALL. Another over hyped player.

I actually don't think asensio is the answer.

ChelseaRanger, who would you take? I'd be ok with CHO slotting in and possibly reinvesting the Hazard money to other parts of the squad.

As I said, I'd also be happy with Asensio coming in as well. It could be seen as his issues are due to the managerial crisis going on at Madrid. I don't think it's due to his quality.

Id take Fekir or Aouar Matt. Sorry I've only just read you're post. Fekir is small but strong and would add goals from LCM. Then id like to see two proper wingers again. Hazard and Willian are inverted wingers who don't suit our striker. Pepe RW and CHO LW would be what id like to see with Pulisic as back up with Pedro as 4th choice. Im a massive Odoi fan he doesn't actually want Bayern he just wants to play and he's better than Willian and Pedro for me.

Reece James is doing really well at Wigan. His apparently won most of the monthly accolades and MOTM's. Wigan fans have really taken to him. He does look really good and has massive potential.

Anyway, I think it is safe to say that Chelsea will not buy a RB next year as it would be wrong to do so. This kid sould should be Azpi's understudy as he can replace the former. Focus should be on the left side where we may need a new addition given that Sarri doesn't seem to trust Emerson.

Nothing is sure at our club with regard to the progression of the kids.
Sarri has been angling for the club to buy the Napoli RB who is 25yo.
With Azpi signing a new long term contract where would that leave Reece.
For me he has been the standout kid of the last few years and I include CHO.
He has everything but importantly he is a grown man physically even at such a young age.
Handled correctly a future club captain.

Sarri also supposedly wanted a replacement for Cesc and didn’t get it. I’ve been saying for a long long time RJ is an unbelievable player and he will be in our first team for years! He will be playing for the mighty blues in the first team next season.

Possible scenario for hazard.
Real Madrid take either neymar or mbappe, I don't think they could afford to then take hazard as well. This then leaving him to either sign a new deal with Chelsea or play another season and leave for free or be sold elsewhere other than Madrid. It is a well known fact hazard has a love to wear the Madrid shirt but I don't think he is the top name for them (neymar/ mbappe) which is why at the moment I believe it's 50/ 50. My main worry isn't if he leaves but if the club find themselves in a situation where Madrid's interest goes elsewhere like I mentioned and hazard then receives an offer from someone like Man City. A lot of ifs and buts but I only hope the club are working hard behind the scenes for what is best for the club and not the player.

I’d sell him if Madrid didn’t want him. Don’t want any player who doesn’t want to be here.

It's also a well know fact his family are settled and happy in London.
His priorities seem divided between staying put to an extent for his family and following a dream.
He says he's happy either way and I for one believe him.
Part of the equation will also be a sporting one obviously and where we finish and his opinion of the manager and club ambitions will play a part.
Add into this that he isn't Reals first priority AND they are in rebuilding mode it really isn't a simple decision.
Leaving it until the end of the season does make sense taking everything into consideration.

Think if Madrid know they can get Hazard for less than £100m or cash and Isco or asensio and kovatic, then they will get him. Leaves money in the pot for another big name signing,

Turvey, your post makes very good sense.

Hazards issues may well be familiy or ambition driven but I’m just bored with the whole saga.

I would prefer it if he stays but if he goes, I’m sure you would agree our club will get over it.

I remember the Courtinho leaving Liverpool debate and how Liverpool would suffer if he left. I would suggest Liverpool are stronger without him and that’s maybe because they now have players wth a better team and work ethic.
