Believe me - i have always wanted us to have our own SAF in terms of both quality, results and longevity. I thought we had one, still think so. You can stick with the quality managers and let them do their job. You can stick with Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hidding. Buck you definitely can not stick with Grant, Scolari and AVB.

He ain't no leader, his man managent skills are nonexistant, he might beatechical geek, but we are talking about not only preparing your players phisically and technically, but inspiring them. Tell me, how inspiring is the man?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

How do you know? Do you work for him?
We are doing just as well this season as we did last season, and Ancelotti is one of your managers that we should have stuck with, so whats the difference?

Agree2 Disagree3

What a stupid post! You know nothing about the man other than what rubbish you have read in the tabloids! What were you expecting this year? If someone would have told me, at the start of the season, we would be in a Champions League position, still in the Champipns League and still in the FA Cup at this stage of the season I'd have taken it!

Judge the man this time next season, not now!!

Step back from the ledge guys. If I would have told you before the game we would draw with united you would have easily accepted. I undersand its not the fact that we drew but the way we drew. While a lot of you guys are going for AVBs throat you must look at what he had available yesterday. No Terry or Cole, arguably our two best defenders against arguably the top strike force in the league. Ramires and Lampard, rami is our best midfielder by a mile and even though Frank isn't what he use to be its not difficult to make an argument that he's miles ahead of Malouda. I'm not sure who can win with the squad he had yesterday. You can look at the tactics, I understand bosingwa isn't ideal however he's going against the most in form player in the league (Valencia) and you want to throw Bertrand out there who hasn't played against the top flight all year? I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense to me. I will give you that I wouldve rather had Romeu out there than either of Malouda or Meireles so you can have that. If you propose it's AVBs fault for not bringing in the players to make up for this lack in depth I find you senile as that would kill the youth movement so many have been begging for not to mention make an overcrowded squad. Overall I think compared to what we expected before the game, that yesterday wasn't as cataclysmicly awful as some are making it out to be.

I agree with a lot of what you have said. Now after everything has settled I'm pretty happy with the pt which I would have took before play.I just felt our midfield was too light weight yesterday. Great to see Essien back but the other two cant get around the pitch. Utd were given too much space especially when Scholes came on and they created too many chances. The other two can't tackle and have no pace. Would have defo played Romeu holding with Essien getting about the pitch in place of malouda. Would also have kept Josh. He got some experience last season under Ancelotti and he should have played in place of Mereiles. Mereiles contributes very little and surely Josh would give us as much if not more. For the rest of the season in mid I would play Romeu Essien and Rami with Frank to come in off the bench

Agree2 Disagree0

You mean the same "josh" who's on loan at swansea

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes. I would not have sent him on loan to Swansea. He should be playing in place of either Malouda or Meireles

Can someone explain why Lukaku is a bench warmer! agreed 18yrs old...but for someone who has played champions league football and scored goals for fun....he surely needs a better opportunity! he is unknown unpredictable and the other team will not know how to deal with him. Torres is doing his part...draws defenders out and open up opportunities for others. In addition....Malouda....the worst player in the premier ship....should never get in the first team! AVB is a confused man...Bring back Mourinho...and a cheeky Ronaldo transfer...now that will make a statement!

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I agree, you may as well have sent him out on loan if he gets this few games. not playing will just send his progress backwards, could have signed him and laoned him straight out to anderlecht or to another prem side....he needs game time if he is going to be ready for first team football

How is Torres doing his part,no goals in 20 matches now,I know goals arent the be all and end all,but a striker is judged on his ability to find the net, over the past 2 years he has consistently failed to do this,be better to send him out on loan abroad, and if he cant find his form, get shut, all the top teams have a far better strikeforce than us,need Drogba back quick smart.

Having watched the Man Utd game, I don't believe we are far off a proper contending team again.

Shame Rami was injured (sorely missed) and for god's sake replace Malouda and it's not all bad.

Cahill had a great game, Essien is returning to good form and had a good game, I am a true blue and all this capitulation talk is frustrating. We don't need to buy 4 x 30m players as a fair few fans believe!

Some small things need changing, ie. the club Malouda plays for (!) and we are getting there!

Saying that, the bench did look a little...."inexperienced" is the word I will use.

My Chelsea Summer: AVB and Torres to stay. 1 massive attacking/"creative" signing and some kids recalled to start their journey into the first team properly. HOPEFULLY JOSHY!!

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Totaly agree, get rid of Malouda, Drogba, Mikel, Fearria. bring in Hazzard, Lucas and a fresh right back

I came on here last week and said Torres needs to be offloaded he can't cut it no more, well it has been well backed up now with another pathetic attempt in front of goal yesterday. The chance he had in the 2nd half why did'nt he just shoot? ridiculous embarassing..Count your losses Chelsea and get someone in who can score goals please.

I didnt get a chance to watch the game last night unfortunately but coming on here im pretty disappointed. Not in AVB or the players, as i wouldve taken a point before last night. More so in the amount of 'supporters' that sole purpose seems to be to come onto this site and slag off OUR team.

Alot of people are talking trash about a manager who revved up the players so much so that we came out and blitzed united in the first 10 minutes of the second half and ive read it almost got embarrassing for Man Utd. I strongly believe if AVB is given the time and the chance we will experience something very special at Chelsea. We will play some extremely attacking, free flowing, attractive football. Something that wasnt even experienced with Jose, who towards the end of his tenure got booed for his defensive tactics.

So many people come on here talking about bringing Jose back but you have to be realistic and remember the way in which he was removed. He is an extremely proud man and I think Roman ruined our chances of a reunion with 'the special one'. He has stated a number of times his desire to return to England, but not specifically Chelsea.

I deeply love OUR club but am getting fed up with coming on this site only to see fans talk rubbish about a team that brings so much to all of us.

Remember the history of the club and remember the team doesnt 'owe' us anything. We owe the team for the joy they have brought us over the years. Players like Flourent and Bos have been through some extremely successful times at our club and while i no longer believe they command or deserve a first team spot i also believe any player that puts on the blue of chelsea deserves OUR complete and utter support. I cant imagine its easy for malouda to want to give 100% for a club thats supporters dont give him a chance.

Great post.

100% agree. You cant slate the manager atm, he is having to play the players he has at the club. If the other team gets 2 pens and a l8 goal and you dont lose then your team has put in a shift.

Should be be lossing a 3-0 lead absolutely not, but we played better in patches than we have for a long time and our defense looked strong.

Keep faith

Great post, this transition period has been coming. lets get behind the team and manager to weather the storm. getting rid of AVB would be taking a step back.

Fully agree with everyone here. to be honest if mourinho came calling i would still want him but thats more because he is god rather than me not having faith in avb and if he does stay, i reckon in 2/3 years we will be one of the strongest teams in europe again

Cheer up guys, we played well .I agree that malouda should not be in the team ;he was horrible. Its pretty evident that we got robbed yesterday.Even though they scored three against us our defense with cahill in the middle with luiz and ivanovic on the right looks good .If we play with the same tempo ,that we played for two thirds of the second half we will be in good stead.Torres looked bright though a bit nervous in front of the goal; he probably needs a tap in to get him going in front of the goal again.

Spot on re tempo. But we need this against the Norwiches and Swanseas just as much as v Spuds, Gooners or Manchester clubs.
