Just reading an article by Ray Wilkins. I think it was and to be honest he's spot on again about young talent.
He mentioned Tammy Abraham being brilliant at Bristol City. And would Batshuayi have scored the same amount in the championship. In truth he's probably right Abraham would have made a better impression than Michy this season but because he's not rated at 25 million he won't get a prolonged run. Goes to show they need consistent game time Alli is turning into a world class player at Spurs and I'm confident Loftus-Cheek would be far better than him. He had a great cameo against Stoke as an inside forward and was brilliant for the U21's his dribbling and power are hard to match he just needs the game time in big games to move forward. If Costa leaves and we signed Sanchez I'd play Sanchez as a centre forward and have Eden as Ruben as the two begins roaming and causing havoc. Then I'd have destroyers behind in probably Kante and either Matic or Chalobah because there's no need to spend 30 million on Bakayoko when we have Chalobah who's done so well when called upon.
IMO I think every club in the premier league should have three homegrown players in there starting XI. There's a reason why England are so far behind the likes of Spain and Germany now at international level.
Wilkins also went on to make great points about Rashford and Baker.

I agree but unless rlc and chalobah go out on loan and put it an incredible performance they won't get any minutes at Chelsea. Ake had a great season with Watford and played very well at Bournemouth but because he wasn't the best in the league he came back to the bench at Chelsea. Whereas the likes of Cahill, who is worse than ake, is still starting.

Great post acg think with baker coming back into that mix we undoubtedly have the best crop of youngsters about hopefully antonio is given the time to bleed them in so we have a great young team for years to come.
