Alright Ed sorry to ask but is there any interest in Reus?
I'm just really worried about Hazard after tonight. We need a clinical winger and none of our four actually are.

You actually hate hazard don't you? He's still young let him develop at he's own pace jeeze! If he's been in the starting 11 under every manager since being here then he's obviously doing something right otherwise the club would of bought somebody else, reus on the right & hazard on the left would be pretty amazing or vice versa

I don't get carried away I'll agree he's good but he's over-rated unless he gets more clinical. Never mind same breath as messi or Ronaldo he's not even a Di maria or Sanchez yet lad!
I keep me feet on the ground we definitely need a new winger and If PSG keep in with a 60/70 million bid for hazard i'd think about it definitely. Reus is available for about a bargain 20-30 million that would be a steal for him.
Truth is hazards scored 3 goals in the league this year and only 1 from open play! That's shocking for a player of 'so much talent'. Everyones raving about him being our best player he's by far that. I'd put Costa, Fabregas, Matic, Oscar and Terry before him.

Situation, he's 24. Not young. By this time ronaldo was scoring for fun and had ballon dor (I think, don't hold me on that).
Fact is, he's an extraordinary player, and has incredible talent, but he doesn't add as much goals as he should, although I think matic the beast is being harsh, as Hazard has many secondary assists, an is a massive factor for us, he's right, we don't have that clinical winger in the bracket of rues, di Maria, Sanchez, silva or ribery ect.
I am sure hazard is one of maticthebeats favourite player, but he, like others is very dissapointed.
It's not to long for him to find the killer instinct, although fans need to stop calling him young, you'll sound like Liverpool fans on Lallana ;)

24 isn't young? :/ he's not even in he's prime yet. he of all people knows he has to add scoring goals & taking chances to he's game just get off he's back every game seriously! It's a team game it's not just him who misses chances & not fair that people jump on the bandwagon when he's not comparing to ronaldo or messi! Nobody will ever come close to ronaldo or messi!

Such unnecessary criticism. He spared us against QPR, without him that would've been a draw, and was the main reason for us beating Arsenal. Add to this that he's 23 and 2 years younger than every winger you talked about. Can't jump on him after one miss, when he was still our best player that game.

Lads I would never ever change Hazard for any other player!
Hazard is just 3rd player in the team after Mata and Terry which for me were the ones I would have not changed for anyone else!
If we didn't had Hazard in the team we would have been poor in every game we have played this season! Admit That!

Honestly starting to get wound up with Hazard now! Can't he practice one on ones in training? Vs de Gea and again tonight i'd have to agree Sanchez and di Maria are better than him. Is he ever Guna find that clinical edge or is he just guna get goals from penalties all his career.

Before everyone gets on me back for this I no he was the best player on the pitch tonight but he can't rely on scoring penalties all the time to be one of the best players in the league. I'm just worried he'd not guna reach that world class level because if he's missing one on ones when he should be scoring he's guna remain a good winger but just doesn't score.

Indeed, it's a real shame. He does everything right, then he appears in front of the keeper and can't seem to finish the move. I believe he'll get better though. Don't think he'll reach Messi's or Ronaldo's level, the level of those guys is practically unattainable. But IMO he'll get better at the finishing part.
And I hope the penalty miss is a one off. I just love to see him slide 'em home. It'd suck if keepers started saving them regularly.
Still love Hazard, he didn't have a bad game.

I agree the whole team were poor tonight except zouma which says a lot for the "experienced" players, I love hazard but have no excuses for him tonight, takes penalties too cocky & we all knew it would be a matter of time before he missed an important one, drogba was poor in every aspect! Costa is still trying to get back into the swing of things, I think Oscar & hazard are the real drive in the team atm but we really need to start taking chances because it will effect the whole teams confidence if it carries on

Guys, I am not big fan of E.Hazard but any player can have a bad day.
We underestimated Maribor. Also I am really big fan of C.Fabregas and he played probably the worst game since he has joined us.
We should play more seriously against lesser teams. Our players were probably thinking about next PL game than about Maribor tonight.
You can bet Jose Mourinho will be furious tonight.

He glides past players like nobody I've ever seen before & he makes it look so simple but Aron is right he should be concentrating on the team instead of he's individual growth trying to get to that top level. let's face it Ronaldo is the best in the world because he creates & scores for fun every week it's as simple as that & he's proven himself in England & Spain! Hazard still an amazing player. What was again worrying is that Schurrle did not seize his chance, Willian was perhaps worst I've seen him and no sign of any confidence by TSO in Salah. So Hazard had to play a full game, and because we were so incompetent for 60 mins or so Fabregas had to stay on and looked frankly knackered at the end.Our first team remains very good, but need whole squad to be up to speed.

That's the issue we all rely on hazard too much, it baffles me with willian! The lad has got bags of pace to burn but he's so negative I just don't understand why he can't take a leaf out of hazards book & try beat someone

Ed018, I totally agree. Willian's more of a no10 and Schurrle a LW. Neither will make the RW their spot. I'm sure most of us would want Reus or Sanchez but neither are likely.Who'd you want us to bring in?

Ed018, what player would you suggest that could take us to the next level? And a player that is a realistic option as well. So no Bale and no Reus probably. I agree that Schurrle and Willian don't bring quite enough offensively, but Willian certainly gives Hazard more freedom during games because he works tirelessly throughout 90 minutes.
I personally think Traore could be very good for us. I know he's only playing in the Dutch league right now, but IMO playing with actual studs like Matic, Fabregas, Costa etc would raise his game. He's got a good dribble and a mean left foot.

Can't believe people calling Hazard WOW costa had a couple of chances and skied them and it's his job to score. ( I like costa by the way ) hazards the best player we have by far we only ever look like scoring when he's playing well

He's only going to get better & better! We can't say he's the best player in the team because they all have different roles! Everyone has high expectations for hazard but some fans take it too far & expect him to win games on he's own, ronaldo is only as good as the players around him he wouldn't do too great playing for burnley would he!

Why play Drogba? Win this game and then play him in the two games where we are already through. He has been beyond poor with everything he has done, no idea why he wasn't taken off at half time.

I think with most of it he's quite cocky. He's great to watch but so's a movie this is football at the end of the day he should sack all that off stop being cocky get past a player and drill it as accurate as he can.
There was a point in the game where he was in a wide area and more or less one on one of he used his pace instead he decided to hold the play up and lose the opportunity.
I'm sorry he's missed a pen, missed a one on one and made the wrong choices he shouldn't be regarded as man of the match. I hope he doesn't end up like Ben Arfa or something all the skill but not clinical enough.

Just wondering what everyone's team would be for tonight? Personally I think Zouma and Ake have shown really good qualities so far and should be played more and tonight's game is the right one for them. I'd put Ivanovic, Matic, Hazard and Costa on the bench because Saturday's game is a lot more important. Azpilicueta should start returning from his ban and then start Sunday that's why I would rest Ivanovic. I'd play Terry over Cahill for his leadership and the fact Cahills played 3 games on the run after playing 90 against Shrewsbury. Terry will be able to play the next 2 games because he can then have a two week rest while the internationals are on. I'd give Cahill a well deserved rest. I wouldn't risk Costa either keep him for Saturday.
This XI should be enough tonight (4-2-3-1):
Cech; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry (C), Filipe Luis; Ramires, Ake; Willian, Fabregas, Schurrle; Drogba
Subs: Courtois, Ivanovic, Matic, Oscar, Baker or Salah, Hazard, Costa
