Can't believe the way Alex has been treated this season he is possibly our best defender. To sell him for peanuts in january and buy Cahill for 12m+ is stupid business.

I'm not so sure. Let us not forget that this is the lowest team in the table. There wasn't a massive lead where the defense were allowed to take it easy (yes I know how bad that sounds). There were miscues and there were many chances were a more clinical striker could've put at least one of the chances away. I think Luiz would bring a touch of pace to the back line to compliment terry. Overall bane looked terrific on the right. That's two sublime crosses in his last two starts at right back.

Assumption of one game. Look at the record of alex and Terry playing together before you make stupid comments. Who was the pairing for our only other clean sheet. For me ivanovic is not a cb.

Ed002 there's rumour all around that Drogba,Kalu,Maluoda and Anelka will all leave Chelsea in January, is that true? {Ed002's Note - I doubt that they will all leave in January.}

I really hope Kalou, Malouda and Anelka all leave not to fussed if Drogba leaves or not as long as he is happy being on the bench and being a bit part player which should let him see out his contract and then give him back to marseille he deserves that at least for being a Chelsea legend over the years

Not sure that De Bruyne and/or Cahill will offer enough. De Bruyne in Genk game at Stamford Bridge looked average, losing ball far too often. Perhaps better in game in Genk (I didn't see that one)? Subotic looks better player if available than Cahill -- though I guess we need sufficient Eng players (but Sturridge dreadful v AFC and Man U -- far from good enough v better teams as yet)... Unless we get really top class replacements for likes of Drogba (who as we know could still be match winner if fit/right mood!) and others, we will slip down league (and Anelka may be missing chances, who isn't, but still v skillful and good to have in squad imo).
