Not a problem. One quick question, what is the situation with Dom Solanke- I remember his contract being up this summer and he was being a pain behind the scenes, are the club looking to move him on or still agree a new deal?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I really have no interest in discussing it.}

No problem, thanks again.

Just out of interest, if Barcelona were to sign aubamayang ahead of Chelsea or City which of their front 3 would they be looking to move on. Not even Barcelona could keep Suarez, messi, Neymar and aubamayang happy could they?

{Ed002's Note - This is the Chelsea page - try the Barcelona page.}

Calhanoglu is very over-rated and i wouldn't have him in any system we play and personally I definately don't see where he would fit in our 3-4-3 he has no defensive discipline for the midfield two but has no pace for the front three either.

I'd be over the moon with Van Dijk and Vidal. Vidal and Kante would be unreal together, Vidal would also give us them extra few goals from midfield.

I wouldn't be keen on Ricardo Rodriguez. Shaw and Ghoulam would be better options IMO.

What's the latest situation with Alexis Sanchez please Ed?

Many thanks Ed002 (wonderful delivery on the pod by the way! ) and CFCFOREVER can only hope that the a couple of the v few possibilities are realised and in January as right now the squad looks a bit thin and additions should bring energy/ strengthen

I too am not overly keen on Calhanoglou though one thing he would bring is set-piece delivery.

I wouldn't be so focused on the 3-4-3 tactic (though I do think that 3 at the back will be utilised more often than not) . I can see a time when we play more of a 3-5-2 with the 3 in midfield being like we used to have with Lampard, Essien and Ballack. power and energy. a midfield three of Kante and two of Bakayoko, Kessie or Vidal would be very interesting. Not a great deal of creativity but box to box midfielders is what I believe Conte favours in his formations.

For next season, I'd like to see Baker and Chalobah be used in the squad with RLC getting experience and Fabregas and Matic moved on.

06 Jan 2017 10:43:34
That was meant to read as RLC getting experience on loan

If we are looking at that ac milan keeper what about going for pickford or butland we need some english in the team for the backbone of the team in my opinion and I didn't see gibson or keane in that list im taking it our interest has gone and agree with steve b would like to see more of chalobah next year and baker coming into the fold

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea has no interest in them.}

I'd also go for Butland over Donnarumma. He also seems to have the ability to command the back four which I like. Even though there's no interest in Butland or Shaw they're two players I'd love here at Chelsea. Courtois is a quality keeper but he talks to the press way to much for me.

Have to say I'm largely disappointed with who we'll potentially get. I'll support them if they join but I don't think the ones that are most likely to happen are good enough imo.

Not just because of a defeat but I would love to see cesc play more regular. A lot of players have been playing great so it's been hard for conte to change the team but I think we need cesc to see that early run or tight pass forward. We play more of a 3-4-3 but if it was slightly tweaked to a 3-5-2 maybe dropping Pedro (who has been excellent) and adding cesc in the middle giving him less defensive responsibilities. All in all a great first half of the season and I have to say contes attitude in defeat was world class, no excuses no moaning. the man just ouses class.

A shame we did not turn up last night but all credit to Spurs as they deserved the win as we did not really create anything. As good as our run has been it gives a reality check and I think we need to get another attacking forward and someone on the left side, as much as Pedro and Alonso have exceeded my expectations I do not think they are the answer. The current set up is certainly capable of taking six points in our next two games and those points given other fixtures could be some of the most important from now on in.

We didn't create much however we had some very good opportunities (Hazard had two clear chances and Costa had 2-3 efforts) .

Well had also feared we'd lose at WHL - Spuds really up for it as predicted, though we could have got draw, narrow margins.

No need to panic perhaps as others have been saying, but squad would surely benefit from addition of a quality player or two this January window. We've only used/ trusted 15 players all season, and given lack of trust in MB/ youngsters - andf their lack of playing time - our bench has looked short of attacking options. Defense has done well, but looked fragile at times and not sure whether Terry or Zouma given question of fitness/ amount of playing time could readily cover if one of back three injured. Exposed in air by Crouch in Stoke game? Moses/ Alonso at timkes looking sluggish. So hope we can bring in one or two to squad hard though it is to get quality in January.

Ed001, did you manage to watch the game last night? If so, would you mind typing out a match review similar to those you do on the Liverpool site? Cheers mate.

Cfc fair play to you on coming onto the spurs page and give us credit, all the pundits and papers say Liverpool, arsenal, city will challenge you but spurs are going under the radar, I think spurs are more of a threat to you than the three I just mentioned.

Spurs is on fire at the moment and looks like the best team on recent form. You have a young squad and if you keep all the players you will only get better.
