I know its not likely but i wouldnt mind seeing a Falcao bid in January with Cech going to Athletico in the summer. T Courtois will be coming back from his loan in June which leaves us 2 world class keepers. Cech for me is still valuable at 30 but would hinder Courtois's development, a Bif of around £35/£40m for Falcao in January plus Cech moving in the summer seems not only logical but also financial viable. Just a thought.

interesting read guys (although I am reading it in hope more than anything else) about the possibility of jose returning

Please god I hope TSO comes back and becomes our Fergie. I think we all knew Robbie was never Romans first choice. I think Jose coming back is one of the few ways for the owner/ board to get the fans back on board. I'm all up for supporting the team who ever is in charge, (and trust me Rafa Benitez is the last person I want as manager) but from what I've seen a lot of fans and some players for that matter aren't going to back the manager. Please come back Jose.

As an Arsenal fan I can't tell how pleasing it is to see how petty and pathetic so many of you are still being over Rafa.
You are showering yourselves in untold glory.
He stuck up for his team like Jose did yours. Get over it and get behind the guy. You're actually affecting your team.
You don't know when you have it so good and not one of you has the bollox to boo and slag the guy who sacked RDM!!

Stoner

Agree5 Disagree3

Yes Stoner, you guys are treating Arsene so well aren't you, and that's a guy who has actually been loved at your club. All those chants directed at your board will certainly help in the transfer market. Wind ya neck in mate.

If I see another post of " I don't like Rafa but I will support him..... Blah blah blah ....." I'm gonna puke. We get the point we are gonna support the fella because of the good of CHELSEA and nothing else. So could we give it a rest already, un else u have something new to offer of course?!

Eds pls can u help me out? How many minutes did Falcao, Lukaku and Torres each played in the league for their respective clubs this season and hw many goals each? Tanx much.
BB. {Ed018's Note - that's on you to research}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

How can you expect ed to know that?!

Jordan

Research yourself, I agree with melboure earlier on that you don need to ask the Eds everything

BILLY

Lukaku - 608min / 5 goals / 1 assist / Goals pr minute 121

Torres - 1896min / 7 goals / 4 assist / Goals pr minute 270

Falcao - 1161min / 14 goals / 2 assist / Goals pr minute 83

Realise why Torres suck now? think about how much better players are behind Torres to set him up with goals than Lukaku and maybe even Falcao.

hi ed if juventus beat shakhtar we can still go through on goal difference can't we? if we score enough goals {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hi ed and fellow blues, did you watch the madrid derby during the weekend?
how did courtois perform?
it seems that he closed his twitter account following abuse from atletico madrid fans, did he perform that bad?

taby

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I actually saw the game and to me he was their best player on the pitch. Turns out the Athlettico fans expect him to stop every shot including a pile driver of a free kick from Ronaldo.

I say if their out field players actually played football it might have been better for them. Now they blame him. Football fans, what are you gonna do right?

ELI

Agree2 Disagree0

Cortois did very well , I can't say anything for the rest of the team

BILLY

Defense + midfield played very poorly.

The main issue we're having with Torres is that he isn't clinical enough. When he does get a chance he rarely takes it, and his movement simply isn't world class anymore. For those saying he isn't getting the chances, has to help himself and split center back, run into the channels etc... Torres works hard off the ball but so does Cavani. Falcao is fantastically clinical, but £46 million is steep. In my opinion Falcao and Cavani would both be good buys, but we shouldn't over spend in January, if they're available for cheaper in the summer get them then. This season isn't time to spend big and finish 3rd, we won't really challenge for the title, FA cup is decent trophy to go for, and depending on the Nordsjaelland result, we should either hope for CL semis at a push probably quarters.

JD

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Wrong. the main issue is that he doesn't put himself in positions to even test his clinical finishing.

I dont like rafa as our manager a long with thousands of chelsea fans but no matter how many times we sing for di matteo and boo rafa,nothing will change. But if we can qualify for next round champions league and possibly win club world cup then maybe us fans will give rafa his chance. Saying this even if we won every trophy available this year i still hope hes replaced in the summer as his disrepect for our club and fans when manager at LFC leaves me angry at how the club hired him in the first place. Fellani and cavani are my choices for january. Our next ten games are all winable so hopefully we can produce our good form for 90 minutes instead of drifting in and out of games.

NWBLUE

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I agree with everything you said. That being said him getting into the knockout stages is completely out of his hands.

Is Falcao really worth the money being quoted? Hasn't scored from open play in seven games; doesn't that mean anything? Will he cope with pressure? Can he deliver in big games? For his age (abt 27), is he worth the investment? Personally, I'll rather have Bony, Lukaku, than another £50m striker who strives only on service. Plus a proper DM in Jan and KDB back in the summer, we'll be great. And Roman pls, we need a Manager that'll be here for at least the next 7yrs and build a proper team with a good philosophy. Tanx.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Are we talking about the same Falcao who's currently on 11 goals in 13 La Liga appearances, plus the three he scored when he tore us apart in the Super Cup?

We need a change of pace striker (bony or lukaku) but if you'd rather have one of those two over Falcao you might need to see a doc.

I'd be happy with Bony, Lukaku and feruz as our strikers next season.....No way can we go into next season with only 2 strikers again.......Would love Falcao, Cavaini and Lukaku with feruz out on loan, but that will never happen.....DJ

Agree0 Disagree2

Bony and lukaku are ridicuolosly similar. I wudnt want them both

Agree0 Disagree1

Similar isent always bad if you play 2 strikers, like Demba ba and Cisse. Assume we have 4 strikers, 2 of them has to be pretty much the same and both Bony and Lukaku is gonna be very, very good in 5 years and you can always change one of them if needed. Like City for instance both Dzeko and Balotelli is quite similar too and so is Teves and Aguero.

Brian Clough --> Leeds = Disaster

Rafa Benitez --> Chelsea = ...

I've got myself bracing for impact this month... Think we'll need to wait til January before we see any major boost.. I'm dreading the Leeds game in particular... If they beat us... Doesnt bear thinking about. I've got a mate whos a Leeds fan and he's pretty optimistic. Cant say i blame him either to be honest.

Hi Ed,

Have Chelsea expressed any interest in the following players:

Fernando Reges, W Bony, K Papadopolous, Fellaini, De Rossi, Bradley (Roma), Huntelaar, L Bender.

Sorry for the amount of players but I tried the search function and couldn't find any up to date info?

Appreciate the work your doing! {Ed002's Note - And some point in time Chelsea have shown an interest in some of these players but I don't have the time to go though long lists right now. However, there remains interest in Bony at this time.}

Just been watching the Bundesliga highlights, another strong performsnce from De Bruyne and Toni Kroos of Bayern, reminds me so much of Lampard at his best strong dynamic and scores goals from midfield and in big games he often pops up with the goods. Would be a great investment.
