Wouldn’t go as far as « Legend » but he’s been a good servant. I mean some one like Brana isn’t considered a legend so don’t see why Cahill should be, but as I said good player and would always be respected in my eyes.

Calling him a legend might, in my view, be a bit of an overstatement but certainly a very good defender who as served us well.
I know I might be in a minority but I also think he might play a. significant role in our season.

Definite legend, played with an injury and was superb in CL final, 2 Prem titles and Europa league and FA and league cups. Scored some vital vital goals. same class as is novice to me. Both had there faults towards end of there Chelsea tenure but legends who gave it all.

Tbf to morata he hasn’t done a great deal wrong this season it’s hard to get many chances when teams play so defensively, not a lot of space for him. He had one chance against arsenal and stuck it away. the chances will come this year for him. I do agree that for his price tag we should expect a lot more from him but with the great start we have had to the season I don’t think it’s fair to get on anyone’s back just yet it’s far to early for that.

Hasn’t played bad hasn’t played well. Doesn’t seem to really be involved in games a lot of time. Giroud comes on and is amongst it and linking. Morata seems to be waiting for a tap in, also a lot of his goals were headers and were more patient and not a lot of balls into area from deep places like Azpi was last year.

Watch the game from Saturday, all the balls that went into the box, or to Morata, were low
0-0 and then Giroud comes on and we started to go longer and higher.
There was 2 different game plans when either striker was on.
I can guarantee, we'd be pissed off if Giroud started and we turned to hitting it long.

When it's in the air unless it's straight at Morata he doesn't win it. Gets bullied by defenders whilst Giroud does the bullying.

I agree with Saim. A better striker will expose to you Morata's inabilities. Morata is poor with his feet, hardly beats his man and very frail on duels. He scores mainly when the ball is on pinpoint to him. How I wish Costa had stayed (without his baggage though. ) A striker who can decide a game even when the team is not at their best especially now that we boss teams.
Giroud should start now on until we can a better striker. Michy is not the solution as we don't need a goal scorer but who can lead the line.
