So like most of the posters on here, I am actually excited about Luiz. Always looked forward to watching him play. I read an article by Collymore that said he is one of, if not the worst, defender in the PL. I understand he is error prone, but with Kante being incredibly defensive I think it'll give Luiz the "freedom" to push up and create without having to worry too much about the space he left behind. I think it's a good signing. I'd love to see Laporte come in next summer. What do you all think?

I don't think he's been bought to defend if that makes sense I think he will want him to move out with the ball and make teams struggle to mark him and as for Stan he knows shit.

Luiz going forward with the ball at his feet is excellent as he can run out of defence at pace and his heading is also very good but defensively he is shocking and prone to rashness which will cost us with penalties or him getting sent off. I am obviously one of the few that feel is was a desperation buy, nothing more, nothing less and will cost us in the long run.

Completely agree with you, C1915. I think a lot of us have forgotten how amazed we were when we managed to get that much money from him when PSG bought him, given that he hadn't shown anything to remotely justify that price, just like he hasn't shown the adequate talents to justify our price for him, not even in this crazy transfermarket.

Aha you must of been high the first time 😂 Arsenal first LOL I think my prediction has pretty much stayed the same. Although given our start and signings I feel we are more secure of getting a top4 spot.

LRD, I hope Chelsea win the title but I'll wait a few more weeks to see how Conte integrates our new signings and until we've faced another top6 side before predicting we'll win the title. Our first two games I feel we were a little bit lucky and Burnley is hardly a litmus test for how well our season will pan out. Also I believe it's only delusional fans like Liverpool who predict their team will be title winners without facing reality.

Mourinho will crack under pressure again, teams will wise up to City's play and they'll drop too many points, Arsenal don't have the character, leadership or talent to win it. Liverpool are dangerous but I feel they're missing a Suarez. Spurs will not reach last years heights and Leicester will still surprise I feel but will obviously not win the title.
Conte has brought the players together, given them confidence, signed very well, especially Kante and Hazard is going to win us the league basically. Best player in the league, Kante is the best DM in the league, best keeper in the league solid back up too. Strikers that can score 20+ a season and very decent starting 11 overall. If a couple of the kids have a breakthrough season, like chalobah and RLC then for me its nailed on.
