Am going to be straight forward a lot of Spurs talk on here about last night my view we where terrible until hazard was brought on, hiddink mistake for not starting him all hiddink has done is come in and be everyone's friend not changed anything or made anything better the players have made things work and performed when they want to get the results (hard due to not challenging for trophies) but let's get things right my eyes if the so called top 4 were at there best Spurs would be no where near them it's been a poor season for the big teams. We need a massive change and hope conte does it Ivan mikel pedro baba matic terry and anyone else that doesn't want to be there let them go start again get the spine and build weather it youth or buy doesn't matter. We've been very poor this year but the top teams this year are still not as good as us on our day . still.

You're saying John Terry our captain who has been at the club over 20 years doesn't want to stay?

Guus coming in being everyone's friend is what the club needed at the time! Unless you wanted the in house toxic atmosphere under Jose being a point off drop zone! You can say we to good to go down but people would say Leicester were not good enough to win the league so anything is possible in football. Guus has done a job to steady the ship and that's what he has done. I didn't want Jose gone but his style of management EVERYONE has to buy into it and am afraid there are a few rats in this squad.

No terry wants to stay but like the others I said they need to go ( big changes ) conte has to make them. And don't get me wrong terry is one of the best if not the best player to put on a shirt on and should have a statue made outside the ground but my opinion is enough is enough. Zouma and? For the future.

Who should stay, who should go, what youth should be in the first team squad. Who's should we sign?

Add Bazoer or Ruben Neves to you "ins" list, OneNight, and that would be what I'm wishing for :-)
Also, bring back Ake next season.

OUT - Rahman Matic Pedro Remy Oscar Mikel plus a loan clear out

Eds, with Chelsea still hopeful of signing greizman, would he be a replacement for hazard or are Chelsea looking to have both players at the club next season.

Our performance in the second half last night showed me we are a match for the top teams this season when we want to be. (that passion and desire required every game will be addressed with Conte coming in), couple that with our fabulous young players coming through and presuming we keep our top players and Roman spends on 3 or 4 new players we will not only challenge for the top 4 but also the title. Being out of Europe will help that as rest and technical work in training will fine tune the playing style, the players of all sides who have EURO 2016 as well so many will hit 'the wall' in November. I expect us to return to the top and challenge again.

Just waiting for the FA to ban Costa for headbutting Dembele's hand and Cesc for slapping Lamela's boot.
Apparently Dembele punched Hiddink, if that is true then that is disgraceful, Guus did nothing to anyone all match and is a gentleman. Only players who come out with any real credit are Begovic and Lloris.

Thought Spurs were a embarrassment last night! The only thing is they cost themselves the game! All they had to do is play their game but it seemed like a young bloke trying to show off infront of some hot chick! That's what they were doing for their fans but it back fired! 9 yellow cards they should be docked points in my eyes.

Last night was brilliant! I think we learnt 3 things -

1. We mustn't let Hazard leave, when he is fully fit and confident we do not have another player in his class.

2. Fabregas needs to play deeper, he has much more influence in this role.

3. Matic is still struggling and I'm not sure he will regain his best form, its painful to watch but he might need a fresh challenge somewhere else next season, I feel for the guy.

Other players have struggled this season - Hazard, Ivanovic, Costa, Fabregas but they have all shown glimpses of a return to form where as Matic still seems to be a long way off.

I thought Matic did okay at least he's proved he can be class, Mikel has never been more than a squad player. I think a change to 4-3-3 and a midfield of Nainggolan, Matic and Fabregas will see him back to his best.

Second half Matic tackled and moved the ball forward extremely well. Mikel can't even tackle. Fabregas is better deeper as you say.

Matic broke up play very well last night - needs to be told just to sit in front on the two centre backs rather than venture forward.

03 May 2016 20:22:54
It breaks my heart to say it, but a further thing we learnt last night is that JT has to go if we are to challenge next year. The problem all season has been that when JT plays we have to sit so deep to accommodate his lack of pace - we saw it in the 1st half yesterday, with Hiddink screaming from the touchline for the team to push up. When we are forced to sit so deep, it does not allow our forwards to press high - in the 2nd half we did push up as we had to at 0-2 and look at the result (although Spurs contributed greatly by losing it! ) .

was thinking about the season over all and thought of a topic which hasn't really been discussed.
basically, for each of the following players, judge there season and say hit or miss and why?

Ruben Loftus Cheek -
kenedy -
Bertrand Traore -
Baba Rahman -
Lewis Baker -
Dominic Solanke -
Charly Musonda -
Thibaut Courtois -.

RLC: Hit, has got more match minute and developing well. One more big push and he'll be 1st team reg.
Traore: Hit, when he finally got match minutes he has really impressed me.
Kenedy: Hit, off boil in recent weeks but real progress and looks some talent.
Baba: Miss, very poor defensively and confidence looks shattered.
Baker: Hit and miss, good to see consistent minutes but needs a 1st team chance or has to leave to get one elsewhere.
Solanke: Miss, an okay season but needs to be more consistent in front of goal and injuries have disrupted him too.
Musonda: Hit, since his loan he has starred for Betis. Only concern is Barca/ Real will have got a good long look at him now.
Courtois: Miss, erratic performances, injury and silly press comments have made his season one to forget.

RLC- Hit. Would've liked to have seen more of him throughout the whole season but overall when played he's looked bright. Certainly feel like he's ready for more game time next season.

Kenedy- Hit. Didn't expect him to come in and be a part of the squad when we signed him last summer, was expecting a loan to Vitesse or elsewhere. Still very raw but the talent and mentality is definitely there.

Traore- Hit. Big success this season. Only regret is that Jose and Hiddink insisted on playing Remy/ Pato/ Falcao instead of him, by far and away our 2nd best option upfront at the moment.

Baba- Miss. I know he's still young but I've seen nothing to make me feel like he can become our fixed LB. Poor positionally, not the greatest one v one and I feel his decision making in the final third could be improved. Can't believe we let Filipe Luis leave for him.

Baker- Hit. Consistent game time in a decent league. Shown what we all knew he was capable of without being spectacular. Been a huge fan of his for a few years now but feel like time is running out for him at Chelsea.

Solanke- Hit and miss. Scored an alright amount of goals for someone his age but feel like the burden on him at Vitesse was too high with him being their main striker for a lot of the season. Glimpses of brilliance but struggled with consistency. A championship loan (if we can sort out his contractual issues) could help next season.

Musonda- Hit. Since joining Betis he's brought a breath of fresh air to them. Very confident and obvious ability. Would happily see him in the Chelsea squad next season (provided he gets minutes) .

Courtois- Miss. So disappointed in him this season after such a wonderful first season with us. Ideally we'd keep him and see him back to his best but don't think his heart is in it. A shame really because he's a world class goalkeeper.

Ruben Loftus Cheek – Miss – Tough to say that given limited opportunities but when he played he never really stood out and does suffer that laconic stroll back after he’s gone forward. He does have a lot of potential however.
kenedy – Miss- To me he is a winger, left or right NOT a full back and that is where he should be played. Played more games than in should have in my opinion and I can see a loan on the horizon.
Bertrand Traore – Hit – Just. Would like to see him fill out a bit as he gets knocked off the ball too easily but he has a lot of potential but once again I can see a loan coming and like Kenedy, the Dutch league is not the answer.
Baba Rahman – Miss - Saw him at Augsburg and commented on his frailty when we were discussing his signing. Gets out of position far too often and ambles back when in attack. I would sell him without any hesitation.
Lewis Baker – Hit - I am only saying hit because it has been a decent season for him but he is 21 and this season will be make or break at Chelsea and if he goes on loan again I would suggest he will leave in due course.
Dominic Solanke – Miss – Watched him in the Dutch league and I do not see him as an out and out striker more an attacking midfielder. I think he is going nowhere in Vitesse and although only 18 he has the build and tenacious approach that could see him make the grade. Needs to listen to sound advice not his mates or he will fall foul of the Chelsea hierarchy.
Charly Musonda – Hit – I am saying that as he went on loan to a better league than some of his colleagues and did OK. He is classified as an attacking midfielder but I see him more of a winger; if he stays in the midfielder role I cannot see, with Conte probably bringing in people in that area, him getting anything in the next two or three years.
Thibaut Courtois – Miss – Probably have a lot disagreeing with this but he has been disappointing given the build up he received on joining. Like the fact he comes for the ball and catches rather than punches which was Cech’s Achilles heel but his shot stopping is not up to Cech. Maintained when he joined that he had been a victim of his contract and never wanted come to us and if he is unhappy I would try and maximise any fee.

Ruben Loftus Cheek -hit but everythin up until now rests on his effort under the new manager
kenedy - hit BUT could have went on loan second half to make the season better for him
Bertrand Traore - hit yes but I think a loan in the epl would have been better
Baba Rahman - a slight miss but he could come good, if conte puts faith in him from the off I think he will be good
Lewis Baker - hit, but feel he should have been in championship
Dominic Solanke - hit, possibly my biggest hit out of the lot, still so young and starting regularly when available
Charly Musonda - hit, just unreal
Thibaut Courtois - miss, the player who best sums up our season. better performances for the media than for the badge.

Ruben Loftus Cheek - MISS - needs to learn positional play and consistancy.
kenedy - HIT
Bertrand Traore - HIT
Baba Rahman - HIT going forward / MISS defending - so MISS.
Lewis Baker - HIT - Getting game time on loan.
Dominic Solanke - BIG HIT - seems to have established himself as a 1st choice on loan.
Charly Musonda - BIGGEST HIT - we need to tie him to a long contract.
Thibaut Courtois -. MISS - I think Begovic is just as good and he wants to leave.

Well guys we can safely say the rivalry between us and spuds has been revitalised and I love it. The new generation seemed to have lost that sweet rivalry the game use to have but I must say it's great for the game and of course we fans.
Looking forward to next season where I hope we'll be going for the title at this stage of the season. Now excuse me, going to go watch Hazard's goal again.

Ps. Congrats to Ranieri, what an honest and modest class of a man happy for him and his team.

Wonderful performance from Hazard and wow, what a goal! I've stuck by him all season (foolishly at times) but I'm glad to see him back to his very best! Hopefully Conte can convince him to stay and we'll have another top class season from him next year. Full credit to our boys in the second half, showed great heart and spirit, just wish they could have done that all season!

Hazard was unplayable last night, and it was great to see him like that again. He was such an improvement on Pedro when he came on.
