Blimey, playing best LB in world at RB? And Sturridge? Mikel must play as DM on current form, and have Kalou coming on ahead of Sturridge who just has not learnt to pass or defend (and we will need much of latter)

Ramires?

Hey Sergeant Pinky, are you still in love with Sturridge after his shambles of a show last night?

am playing that my beloved club chelsea should lift the champions league for the first time in history.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well if you ARE playing then Chelsea have no chance

Why is sturridge so crap now?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Not just now, always has been. Scoring a couple of goals now and then doesn't make a good player. He is young and it shows more often than not. Personally i don't think he is 'chelsea standard'.

RC

Agree3 Disagree1

Its obvious hes not happy at chelsea.. He is 'chelsea standard' as he showed the first half of the season..

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not Chelsea standard, hence the fact that he's on the bench every game.

I am sick to death of people spouting b****cks on here every time we don't win a game. Robbie has done us proud and anyone who claims to be a Chelsea fan should back him and the squad, three months ago we were a shambles now we are one game from being crowned the champions of Europe.

Next Season

Cech
Ivanovic-Luiz-Terry/Cahill-Bertrand
Ramires-Essien-Lampard
Sturridge/Marin-Mata
Torres

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Definitely. 6th to 8th guaranteed.

JG

Agree4 Disagree1

We will get a CDM, preferably Tiote ( I know some people way say he's bad but watch him closely, quality player, always puts 100% in). A good CAM and RW. then we'll be 1st to 3rd guaranteed.

PS: If we haven't sold Sturridge by then, I will pesonally have a word with the manager (hopefully RDM!)

Agree2 Disagree1

If we do sign tiote i would be one happy camper.. The best in the world at what he does possibly.

ED has Robben signed a new deal at Bayern? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

I have been impressed with the team effort since AVB got the sack, but we all have to admit we can't go on forever with the luck we have had over the past two months.I do believe with the exception of bosingwa and merieles that the squad has been trying, but the lack of quality is there for everyone to see.Im sure at some point no matter what guardiola is saying he will be at least spoken to by Chelsea over the summer.I believe if we want instant success then there is only one man and that's mourinho, but saying that I don't think that is the best long term aim.I am unsure on what will happen regarding the manager but would love to see us go for arsene wenger.Regarding ins and outs on players I have a few suggestions:
Sturridge:apparently city want him back and if a possible
Swap deal involving Adam Johnson or Richards
That's good business.Sturridge is a great player
Not a team player, and we need everyone pulling
In the same direction.
Merieles:got to go,why we bought him anyway is beyond me.
Malouda:had a great six months under hiddink but apart from
That has not lived up to expectations.
Bosingwa:can be excellent at times, but twice a season is not
Good enough.
Essien:sadly looks like injurys have taken thee toll.
Kalou:not good enough for first team but can still be usefull
Coming off the bench.
Drogba:looks like his days are numbered, personally
I think he still has a lot to offer.
Torres:jury is still out, hard work alone is not good enough
He needs a good finish to season.

Not going to list players coming in but we need at least 5 I think.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Agree with u weve had alot of luck, bos, meirelles, essien, sturridge, malouda, kalou, drog, mikel out for me. whys, kalou, bos, meirelles, malouda have never been good enough, mikel had potential but he gets on my wick with his sideway passes and back far to predictable, drogs 33 had the best from him, sturridge cant stand him from his greedyness to his total s**te passing & team work. essien love the lad but he aint wt he was. I got a lot of stick for my posts last night. For someone to say I have been a fan only since 2005 is frankly quite laughable. From recent years i have been accustomed to top 2 finishes,
And falling behind Newcastle is embarrassing.

Saying that, the future is looking bright and i reckon well beat the scousers, and I fancy our chances against Munich

Jm10

Believable1 Unbelievable3

To be fair Jm10 your comments yesterday were way off the mark.

I'm not sure about RDM and have not been since he was first made interim manager, however his results have been excellent, but is that because of management or the old guard doing it for themselves?? I just don't know.

I personally would like to see Guardiola take charge. Then he can train JT then I would give the job to JT in about 5 years.

FT9

Agree2 Disagree1

Haha your were making sense until that last part about JT.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes, his results in cup competitions were excellent but in the big league games we simply havent got any results, a feat that if we take into next year, we will finish 5th or 6th again and again

Jm10

Jm10

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes Pep is the man for us. Nothing against RDM. He is just not the man to take the club to the next level

Agree0 Disagree1

JT will one day be a fantastic Chelsea manager he has blue blood, English and full of passion. If you disagree say why and we can discuss, don't just laugh it off.

FT9

Agree2 Disagree1

Since you have only been a fan since 2005? I take it you were a Manu fan or something before that? Maybe you will be a Manc fan next season??

At the end of the day the table does not lie. You are in the position you are in on merrit alone. So no it is not embarressing that Newcastle are in 4th / 5th. What is is that they have spent 20 mil on their squad and they are 4th / 5th.

I pity you fool....

Agree1 Disagree1

JT to me is the epitome of everything that is wrong with a football player. I would hate to have him in my team let alone as my manager.

Agree1 Disagree1

JT should not be given the job in 5 years
- he should be given 5 years

I was at the game last night and I thought the performance of miereles and boswinga warrant the sack! Absolutly disgusting performance from the pair of them! Why o why are these players aloud near the team they not even championship level players! yet their getting a game for a champions league finalist. Fuming!

Pinky

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Because our squad is overwhelmed with spare talent that we can rotate with.

Oh wait, no it's not.

Chelsea team for may 19th

Cech
Bosingwa Cahill luiz cole
Essien Mikel
Kalo Lampard mata
Drogba

Would give drogba until 60 mins, if his having no joy would bring on Nando. Really hope we pull this one out the bag. But for next season we need fresh faces, would release or sell the following :
Drogba,
Malouda,
Kalo,
Bossingwa
Essien.

And bring in,

Marin,
Erickson,
Lucas Moura
Richards from man city if they want struridge, if not then we need to find a world class RB
Fellaini or M' villa
And Cavani of Luke de young

This is just fantasy but I'm sure not too unrealistic.
But we do have some top quality youth, which either need loaning out or bleeding into the team. As leaving them in the reserves will see their talent go to waste.
Hope chelsea pick themselves up fro
Last night and bring the cup home 5th and 19th May

Posted on the Arsenal site a few weeks ago saying they need some steel in midfield with tiote and a wide man with skill who can score...ben arfa.

they laughed it off saying they were worse than song or walcott etc.

what do you lot think? I don't want them to leave but could see them fitting in well at chelsea.

considering tiote cost us 3.5mil and ben arfa 5mil.....good value and would improve your team I think.

Both young too so good for long term.

ToonFan

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Tilted yes. Ben arfa their better

Agree1 Disagree0

As a Newcastle fan I would love to know why you keep advertising our best players to other teams, they may well fit in at Chelsea but incase you havent noticed they are fitting in very well in our team thank you all the same!

Agree2 Disagree0

There is 4 or 5 Castle players i would take at the minute mate. How much you reckon Cisse is worth now?, being serious i would say surely hes a 30 million pound player, and i dont think that is doing him justice is Carroll is 35

SHED END

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry for advertising our players (sure my commenting on here will not influence abramovich or ashley to do a deal though)

And yeh I think cisse's value has shot up, have to se if he does it again next season though when there will be more pressure/expectation on him....no reason he can't just have to wait.

Hope newcastle finish either 3rd or 5th in the league....that way i can cheer chelsea on in champs league final instead of Munich.

All the best for the rest of the season and cup finals.

PS. Please wipe the floor with liverpool to stop them clinging onto their glory days in the 80's

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole stadium was flat. We were losing mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

Where does a Newcastle fan get off by telling Chelsea fans that some of Newcastle's best players would do well in the Chelsea team. May be that's why Newcastle never win anything.....even the fans want the best players to go. Stop sucking up to Chelsea fans, just cos you're jealous that Liverpool have the chance to win another FA Cup, have "made the boat come in" as far as winning trophies is concerned, on more occasions than I care to remember, and cos we can bleat about having done that in the 70s and 80s and 90s and noughties (and you can't), you want to Chelsea to whack us tomorrow. I suppose if we were playing Sunderland in the final, you'd want them to wipe the floor with us too.

Agree0 Disagree1

It is people like that who make the rest of the Prem hate you. Also, your fans booing during minutes silences... I am sure you are very proud.
I really dislike Liverpool, but hope they batter you and i hope the Germans smash you to bits..... which to be fair they will.

Still sucking up??

Is is not black or white with RDM. He is not rubbish after a pour result the same ways he is not a great manager after a few good results. We need a manager who is capable of rebuilding the team that can stay at the top level. RDM has done a good job for an interim Manager and that's that. He has lifted the player's spirit. The other job is a different ball game I am afraid.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Yer our game has been rubish againt, stoke wigan arsenal & newcastle now so he aint no master tacticion. fair play hes rode the wave and won soje important games. as for lifting the players they should of respected AVB & waoted till end of season & playd for us fans !!!

03 May 2012 07:21:51
We were not really good last night. It is unfortunate that without either Lampard or Mata this midfield is laclustre. Newcastle deservedly won and credit to them for catching us off guard.

On the other hand we haven't been good against top teams this term in the league. And have we had RDM from the start of the season, i think we would have been better off, but still not challenging for the title. Definitely nowhere near the top.

So the overall squad assesment was wrong. If we were declared to be well equipped to challenge for top spot, we were really fooling ourselves.

On the cup side, well, thats different and that includes luck. And we were lucky. Hope this luck carries on untill the very end. These boys and the club and the fans surely deserve smth. out of this season. I would just take the May 19, frankly. We have those golden kits coming up. Need to stand for that. Need that golden star added above the crest.

Come on you blues!

Well if it ain't another one of them scousers, I see your tired of reading your page, don't blame you who wouldn't be. All the fantasy signings that would never happen, living in the past days of queen kenny, making yourselves believe your still a top club when obviously your not. Bare off lad, I don't mind a good banter but your statement is so childish and shows how much you scousers live in the past. Then again what do I expect from a Loserpool fan, pathetic. ELI

aL

Agree1 Disagree0

It was quite funny though! but im afraid that is all they have, hang on to the past cu u ave f*** all else to live 4 , alryt weve bin poor in the league this year but well be fighting to win it next year as for liverpool will be fighting mid table with stoke andd swanseea such a shame BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't believe spending 100's of millions is the way forward for chelsea nor any club infact, how will they manage building strong teams against the likes of liverpool, manchester united and even newcastle and lets not forget arsenal whom are all bigger clubs that quite obviously generate more income and those themselves will find it so much easier than chelsea or any other team infact to build and sustain as and when the new financial regulations are in place. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool and Newcastle do not generate more income than Chelsea.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I had to look it up, your right but still liverpool is the bigger club in terms of worldwide fanbase. First time i've actually checked the rankings since 2010 so it was an easy mistake to make.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought I was doing you people a favour with the offer of a loan of a star and this is how you repay me... see if Roman can buy you one (oh yeah he's been trying for a while hasn't he)

Yesterday we got beat by 2 world class strikes from
cisse,no keeper in the world couldve saved those goals.the positive thing we can take from having the top 4 out of reach is that it can create a greater incentive for the lads in winning the champions league.i hope this season turns into one of our most successful seasons ever.i personally think RDM should
still be given a go next season

Average performance tonight you can see when both Mata and Lampard don't play it affects us really bad. Need to buy wingers in the summer can't always rely on Mata to set up Torres has to be a team effort! The sooner Malouda goes the better just isn't good enough.Looks like we have to win the Champions League which i'm really confident we will. I see some people are already having a go at RDM can't blame him we just haven't got a good enough squad to rotate. Bring on Liverpool on Saturday!!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

See yer Saturday:))) Really looking forward to the game which to be fair it's always a pretty good game against Chelsea; the atmosphere will be tremendous. We'll be singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Fields of Anfield Road" you'll waving your little flags. Then we'll round it all off with another one of our songs
"Were running round Wembley with the Cup" :)))))

Any 1 who watched the game on firstrowsports will know this but jus though id share it, rdm has done what it takes to have the job, but the question mark over him is can he rebuild the team? Can he choose the right players to leave, the right ones to be brought in, to gel together and carry on the sucsess off the past 10 years or so , id never thought of any of this before i just thought he gets the results sign him up! But when u look at it like that, thats y u need big named expierianced managers, but id still give him a go
