Hi Ed002 quick question I saw that mark schwarzer is possible going to Leicester on loan. Firstly is this the case? Secondy will jamal Blackman come back as our 3rd choice keeper? I'm pretty sure his loan ends this month? Or do chelsea have some one else in mind? Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - Blackman is due back.}

Totally think Oscar should be back on the wing for us against Newcastle lads. And it deserves praise to people who suggested it. He has the work rate and dribbling ability which is ten times better than Willian who I'm really annoyed with atm. His pace is good also. I'd like to see an attacking trio of Oscar, Fabregas, Hazard behind Costa with the steel behind them in Ramires and Matic. Fabregas playing next to Matic works at home against poor sides but away and against big teams i'm not keen on it. That is how I would go against Newcastle anyway and with Zouma and Terry centre halfs.

Lots of good debate on here about how we will react to what has been a 'blip', in recent away games. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Jose reacts as he is no fool and surely can see what the majority of fans can see. I expect a strong side out against Watford with Cech, Zouma, Luis, Mikel and Schurle all starting. The line up against Newcastle will be more interesting. Will Jose drop/rest the players who are not currently performing either through loss of form, tiredness or dare I say, just not good enouth. Jose is paid a lot of money to do one of the best jobs available. I think he is a fantastic manager, we now get to see just why.

Completely agree

It's going to be interesting what Jose does, hopefully we can spark back. I think we have 5 points from 15 away from home. Terrible

Hi Ed02, Do you know if we will bid on Pogba, Varane or Bony in this transfer window? I'm guessing not Pogba or Varane as Champions league cup tied. Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Think it's going to be a quiet window for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I only expect little players to come in, couple of youth and hopefully Kramaric

Agree0 Disagree0

If sign him, he will go to Vitesse.

Transfer window's officially open! :) it's always an exciting time
3 positions I believe everyone agrees could be upgraded:

CB: only 1 name here in my view and it's Varane! Stupid Madrid, why won't they just sell him to us :-P

CM: again for me only 1 guy for the job. And yes you guessed it, POGBA! The guy's a freak, crazy good touch on the ball with the occasional long range screamer. The club should do any and everything in their power to get him. Him and Matic controlling the middle would be glorious.

RM/RW: I'm not quite sold on any 1 player here and I don't think I've seen Ed mention interest in the players that I wouldn't mind coming in. Reus of course would be outstanding but he's not joining. I'm not a big Cuadrado fan so I don't want him.
Possible additions IMO should be Shaqiri or Lucas Moura. Both are true rightsided players, very pacy and have good skill on the ball. Especially Lucas is interesting, he's extremely fast.
Griezmann would've been ideal but since he just moved to Atletico he's a pipe dream as well.

So there you have it. Probably no interest whatsoever in the names I dropped for the RW position but I simply wanted to share my views.
Cheers guys, have a good one.

Varane and Pogba yes. Sanchez would have been ideal.

Shaquiri is so so so inconsistent (then again so is Caudradro) so I don't think him

I think go 4-3-3 with Pogba Fab and Matic in mid. Put oscar right wing or something idk

Agree0 Disagree0

The more I think about Moura though, the more I like him. Could be fantastic for us. Shame it won't happen.
Right wing position bothers me the least though. Traore should probably get a shot as well when he gets a permit. So maybe not buying anyone for that position would be best.
I just really really want Pogba and Varane. These 2 would make us complete! Only these 2, and try to fund the moves with some sales. God, it'd be so exciting

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Sanchez would be possible. If a bid went in, surely a head turner for him as chelsea can offer a more realisistic chance of trophies. Plus he's right up jose's street with his hard work rate. Sanchez, pogba and varane for world domination :)
We can all dream

One thing people haven't mentioned about Pogba is his ability to have a crack from deep. Since lampards been phased out we don't have anyone that has a punching chance from outside the box. Yaya toure broke the deadlock this past game with a hammer, and Fernandinho did the game before. Having that threat will pull teams out more providing more space in the box.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think I agree with Aron about trying Oscar on the right again. It just he has good touch to bring other players into the game and he also can beat a player. What about Schurrle on his favoured left, Hazard centre and Oscar right?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think that takes away our balance George best.

In my opinion if that happens, have schurrle-Oscar-Hazard, because I still think Andre is our man

There's been a lot of talk about tactics recently and in the preface I want to reaffirm there's not a better manager in the world. There are a bunch of people that say they want a winger who hugs the byline. This does my head in because if jose wanted Willian or hazard to stick to the byline you darn well know they would. Just buying a guy who generally plays wider and thinking things will change is madness. Another is the play of the fullbacks. Jose has demonstrated that defensive solidarity is valued far more than attacking output by playing inverted fullbacks. I personally would rather more balance especially considering the amount of teams that are packing deep against us (Southampton were 4th, at home, take pride in their playing style, and doing it.) We will continue to struggle until our fullbacks make the opposition respect them in the final third (watch zabaleta.)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Southampton backs are playing completely different from MCFC.Zabaleta plays closer to Ivanovic style he cuts in the middle more like second striker than like wing back like Kolarov.
What you are talking about is more formation issue. 361&352 are widest possible formations. For Chelsea it would rather be 361(3421).You get wide man plus you still have two attacking midfielders central forward.
Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Formations don't really matter as much imo. All down to tactics.

You can have a 4-3-3, with the front 3 being totally central (triangle) ect

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure Aron, that's why Bayern is in 361 formation, Juve and MU are in 352 as well as Barca.

It would be very tough to decide what formation were in when the other team is packed deep and 2/3 of our team is around the box which is about 50% of our games recently. Formations are a very fluid thing. When barca were at their peak they were said to play a 433 but it ran more like a 343 with busquets dropping deep to split the centre halfs and the fullbacks being outside midfielders.
