I am not happy islam feruz was not even on The bench he is one of the best strikers we have and 2 night he would of got 5 goals himself does anyone know much about islam feruz all I know from what I seen this lad is going to be the best

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Mate he's only 16. doesnt even play every game for the reserves yet. give him a few years and watch him blow up

Indeed he is young but it was kinda impossible to do worse than Sturridge today :D

team for staurday.
cech
azpilicueta
cahill
luiz
cole
ramires
romeu/mikel
mata
oscar
hazard
sturridge

I hope sturridge starts. He missed a few chances but has not had much gametime. He looked lively and took his goal well.
Im worried about mata as he looked very tired at the end of united game.

Liverpool fan hear, well done Chelsea, I 8 MAN U,

Believable9 Unbelievable1

We hate utd as well

Agree8 Disagree0

Thanks Liverpool fans. We are all ironically united in our hatred of manchester, hopefully soon someone will stop their conquest of referees in the Premier League. So many over-rated United players at the moment and most of them are useless.
EH17

Agree9 Disagree1

EH17 if they were so useless why did they beat your sorry ass 3-2?

Remember the time Drogba was several yards offside and Chelsea won the title?

-JakeW

Agree3 Disagree6

The same day Joe Cole ripped your defence to shreds and scored a back-heel? The day Macheda handled a goal back for you? Yes I remember it quite well. Do you remember Manchester City knocking you for six last season at home?
EH17

Agree7 Disagree0

EH17 you're forgetting sunday mate, 3-2 at home to a weakened team, then tonight you had to rely on majority of your first team to clinch a win against basically our reserves other than Rafael, well done. I think we will come away with more than what you did tonight you beat a bunch of kids, who gained bags of experience.

Anon {Ed003's Note - Oh my god what have I just eaten??? It's ok guys just a sour grape! }

How hilarious some Utd fans are. They can't stop going on about how we struggled to beat their youngsters and they forget they struggled to beat us with 9 men and their winning goal being offside. Very fickle.

In all fairness, a game of football is about more than the players on the pitch, it's about tactics as well, if Fergie is too arrogant to field a stronger 11 that's united's problem not chelsea's. You could 'what if' forever about it, 'if we had played a stronger 11 we would have won', 'if we had signed Messi we wouldn't have gone out of the CL in the group stages last year' etc...truth be told Fergie did not employ the right tactics to win the match, plus Chelsea did not play the full first starting 11 either.

I'm not even a Chelsea supporter, I just had to head over as I knew they'd be bitter about it, excuses at the ready!

Was a great game to watch as a neutral, well done guys

Hazard, Ramires and Oscar have been sublime tonight. Moses has also impressed, Romeu and Azpilicueta look young, need some experience and made a few mistakes. Cech should have done better with the first goal but was all at sea for the rest. Cahill was fine and good finishing again. Luiz's attacking moments (Penalty, free-kick etc) was great but needs to stop bursting forward and is clearly not a defender, could be a great ball-playing midfielder though. Bertrand needs to get his crosses higher and away from the keeper. Sturridge took his goal well but missed far, far too many shots. Mikel did alright, needed to be subbed for switch to attacking play. Mata did fine but looks very tired again. Piazon didn't get a chance to show what he can do but is still clearly a good futuire prospect.
Also, on referee-watch: Can't argue with any of the three penalties, thought we should have had a third one following that handball from Wooton and also Wooton should have been sent off. Otherwise refereeing was excellent, particularly the handling of the Oscar-Nani clash late on.
And of course, always good to beat United!

i was really impressed with Oscar playing the pivot together with Ramires, he did a very good job tbh he went forward and helped them as usual but still managed to go back and defend and win the ball back.
If he plays like that all the time we should bench Mikel and have Moses or Marin play upfront!

One player who has really impressed me is cesar great defensively!

On a rather positive note,it looks like that champions mentality is embedded deeply within the team, everytime we concede i always get that feeling that the team will respond strongly.

Totally deserved the 3rd goal. Was definitely a penalty from a handball earlier. We need to be much more clinical. Hopefully we can carry the momentum from the last 30mins into extra time and find a winner. Utd's back four is looking suspect and I definitely think we can exploit it and go on to win if we can stay responsible at the back. Utd are lucky to have 11 people on the pitch atm.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

31 Oct 2012 21:27:20
If we could actually shoot we would win this match!

silly manc coz you lost its a mickey mouse cup..... u didnt give us nothing you got outplayed both games we just got robbed first game!! you enjoy not winning the league for a while because your team is no match for ours

curt

Agree6 Disagree0

Yes because Cesar, Romeu, Bertrand, Piazon and Sturridge have played every minute of every match so far. Good to see Buttner fufilling his reputation as being the new Patrice Evra, can't defend! And Wooton looks superb also, other strikers will love playing against him with assists like that coming once a match!
You cheated us on Sunday, we took revenge tonight
EH17

Agree6 Disagree0

Yeah your 3rd xi with hernandez, welbeck, nani, giggs. Do you have a secret 2nd xi? We started without oscar, hazard, ramires, cole, ivanovic, terry, torres. Thats seven starters.

So this is 2nd goal Luiz gives United today, just dissapointing and silly.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

31 Oct 2012 20:43:41
So here the 1st half you can clearly see the issue off or players lack of games due to Di Matteo's stupid decisions to play the same 11 people every match. Piazon,Mosses,Cesar,Romeu,Sturridge really lack games you can clearly see the played extremly bad but got better the more time they had on the pitch except for Sturridge some fails and selfish play today rofl. It's really dissapointing Di Matteo do not play more of the players on the bench, so people dont get burned out and our backup players get some playing time and gets a little better aswell as they dont feel like not being apart of the squad if they are on the bench 24/7.
And i dont know what to say about Luiz he is really starting to be a liability, and if contiunes like this i hope someone sit down and talk to him so he can shape up or he should f-off cause this is very silly. He constantly miss in the back and everytime he miss his passes's they score and i dont get why he even going forward.
On the positive: It was nice to see Romeu's passing and Mosses pace and good at winning the ball back.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

31 Oct 2012 20:39:20
chill out guys were not going to go from a defensive team to free flowing football in about 12 games, its going to take most of this season for every 1 to know there exact role and that of everybody else, yes we will make mistakes playing it out from the back, but when it clicks on a regular basis which it will!we will be unstoppable !!! canton

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Yes we'll make mistakes but we've been poor defensively and given away too many cheap goals. Something we can't do against top opposition.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Oct 2012 20:38:09

2 very poor goals to concede. Rather frustrating first half to be honest. After we had equalised we looked to be fairly in control. Piazon has been quiet but then again we haven't seen much of Nani and that could be down to him. Second half I'd like to see Luiz stick at the back and not venture forward, and possibly Marin/Hazard come on.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

31 Oct 2012 20:10:27
Romeu is far better than Mikel, isn'nt it? He scored the first goal at least.

Bas!cs.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

His passing not been great and mistake for first goal am looks slow but 100% that its down to lack of playing time, his a top player. Also Sturbridge tries to do far to much on all or something clever !

Agree2 Disagree1

I think petr cech was to blame for the first goal. he didnt give romeu much space

Agree0 Disagree1

It was not great Romeu but i think he tought he had better time otherwise Chech would not pass it to him. I am sure it is down to lack of playing time for Romeu but it was a rather stupid pass from chech aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Romeu came forward to give him the option. Yes it's a bit of bad play but to be fair to utd they did press up high.

Also for all those saying that Torres is a s**t dribbler and that Falcao is better, Torres has a better dribble completion rate and a better duels completion rate.

Just read an article by Adam Bate called 'Time up for Torres' on a website in which he states that Torres is in terminal decline and is unlikely to ever get better. He backs it up with stats, and compares him with Falcao. For me, whilst the stats do seemingly indicate that Torres has been in decline since he left Liverpool, this seasons stats are his best so far since joining us with his minutes per goal much lower than his first 18 months with us and his shot conversion rate in fact at its highest since he came to the Premier League. The only worrying stat is the minutes per shot which is its lowest. However it's my belief that if Torres were to start shooting more often he could potentially be as lethal as he used to be. What's everyone else's opinion on the article?
Hunter

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Yeah but we have been saying he needs to take more shots for months now and he still wont do it. Athletes usually struggle with overconfidence, one without confidence is done.

Falcao 17 goals in his last 11 games in all competitions.Thats almost more than Torres has scored in his entire chelsea career!Shurely people can't keep praising him lets get him out and swap him +cash for Falcao its time to change our striker from a kid to a tiger!el nino to el tigre !cmon roman!

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Agreed - he has been givin a enormous amount of time to prove himself compared to the other players would have gotten before being sold, and yet he hasent given us anything near what you would expect from him.

Agree1 Disagree4

If you would like Falcao, good for you but can everyone stop trying to sell Torres.

I agree that we could do with more attacking prowess and Falcao would be ideal, but Torres is not a bad player he plays well with his teammates & he nearly always gives his all each game. So I dont know why there is so much hatred towards him.

Its not like wages are a problem and if Abramovic & Di Marreo want to keep him its up to them.

We've in the past been quite dissapointed with the board for not acting quick enough in the transfer market, especially in the summer market that AVB came in. But I have to say they have pulled off some quite brilliant deals, and have brought in some awesome young players within our youth system. We have signed alot of the most wanted young players in the world. Within the next 5 years we will have the best attacking team in the world I'm sure of it. Players like Hazard, Mata, Moses, De Bruyne, Oscar, Piazon, Marin, Lukaku, Bamford and Feruz will destroy every team in the world, at the height of their powers, In my opinion they will all be class players. But also defensively we will be strong with a world class keeper in Courtois, Bertrand (who I think could be as good as Cole) and Azpilicueta who I think will be a class signing.

Future is bright.

PR!

Believable6 Unbelievable4

We could maybe use a new, defensive trainer cause its not looking too good at the moment.

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah totally agree. A new defensive coach would be my first signing. We've missed Steve Clarke. I remember when Stamford Bridge was a fortress under Mourinho and we went 86 games unbeaten at home.
