I may not be a fan of the man’s politics. However, there’s a really interesting podcast with Nathaniel Chalobah about Sarri and his time at Napoli on Golazzo.

If the stadium is put on hold, does that potentially mean more money to spend on players?

We will only spend what the Business model allows.

The club is being understandably run as a business now has it has been for last few years.

We just have to except the BP. So, my guess is no extra money!

As a long time chelsea fan it pains me to see the state the club is in right now. what has gone over the years within the club to reach where we are now? Or is this something to be expected when we sold our soul to a russian billionaire with shady history? Feels like our club with a rich history has been tainted by recent events from pitch, to manager, to the owner.

I ALWAYS respect other posters opinions but whoever you are, YOU ARE A JOKE and anyone who criticises an owner like RA cannot be a fan of CFC.

i agree tom, roman has made us probably the most successful english team the last 15 years.

Roman has given Chelsea the financial grounding to win the multiple trophies we have under his ownership. These trophies have give me a lot of personal enjoyment, I've celebrated every single one.

But the money that bought them is tainted, the manor in which Roman made his billions is tainted.

I'll ALWAYS be a Chelsea supporter but I'm struggling right now to be a RA supporter - the two don't go hand in hand!

The history of lot of club ownership and how the individual owners, corporations or now states made their wealth.
I’m sure someone has written a book about the subject but if they haven’t they should.

Stadium on hold, apparently abrahmovic has no intention of investing 1billiion pounds into our country when we won't allow him to work here?

Now withdrawn uk visa request, I think he is looking to sell, can't really blame him. Why invest in a country that won't allow you to live and work as Matt has said.

It is not a case of won't allow him to work here, he has been asked to explain where his wealth comes from as we are with all Russians give the current political climate. As much as he has been a saviour for us there has always been questions over his and numerous other Russian oligarchs as to how they accumulated such wealth so fast following the collapse of the USSR. This stand off could see him sell the club and the next month if that is the case could be extremely harrowing for us on here. However, he still has an asset and has in place adequate personnel to sell and reinvest the monies to maintain that asset.

Interesting times at the club, is Roman planning to sell the club?

The whole thing with the VISA, his new citizenship in Israel, and now the stadium rebuild abandoned - it's all just very matter of a fact and sudden. We are very cautious with our spending and spend within our means. Very hesitant in appointing a manger who has a 7mil release. Trying to negotiate with Conte to lower his termination fees. Back in the days Chelsea would not hesitate. Just a little surprised.

Hopefully it's nothing, hopefully we get some good news soon! I think we need that!

When a company paints the building and balances the books in my experience a sale is being contemplated.

If RA sells the club, I think the fans will understand and he will go with our best wishes and thanks!

Quite agree Tom, if he is looking for investment then it is for that person to pay for new stadium . Think he will try and sell the club, of course we will all understand.

Well I would take zidane .

Interesting seeing Zidane step down after 3 highly successful years as Manager. With the money and pressure in the modern game I honestly think 3 years is the maximum now for top level Managers before moving on. The Days of Fergie and Wenger have long gone. More clubs and Managers will follow this growing trend. (A bit like Chelsea have done for a number of years now)!

Review Of The Day 31st May 2018

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 31st May 2018

Ed001, this isn't a transfer related question per say. a quick question that I'm sure the vast majority of the Chelsea supporters would like to know.

What has changed? This club, in particularly at board level, has changed. We were clear, and concise not too long ago. We knew what we wanted to do and how to go about doing it. why does it seem that a number of people at board level are inept?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - they aren't mate, they are simply trying to work within budget limitations that the likes of City don't have to worry about. It is the difference between running as a business which could dip into Roman's pocket to boost it and a business which is having to be self-sustaining.}
