I've heard this deal is similar to the Alex deal with PSV. Time will tell I guess

Hey eds new poster on the Chelsea pages, but a regular poster on the liverpool pages. I know this isn't something you'd usually answer, but I'm guessing you are all playing the pl fantasy football game as well, do you think torres will be a regular starter this season, or do you anticipate new signings and torres moving on? ( Also its a double game week in wk 1 for Chelsea, do you think Torres will start the season even if he is likely to move on before the window closes?)
I know this seems pretty trivial, but I've lost my personal league for the past three years and there is a terrible forefit for the loser, I need a good start this year lol
Thanks in advance if you choose to answer

If he is still with the club, I'd assume Torres would be used in rotation. As for the start of the season, with the meaningless International friendlies close to the opening day, I'd say Torres would not be starting against Hull but may feature against Villa.

Rumour is Rooney deal nearly done at a cost of 35m. United waiting to bring in a major signing before (fabregas) before being finalised.

We may not get Rooney then because I can't see Fabregas leaving Barca.
Why would he, he's just moved back there 2 years ago, his home city, home club, currently building a new house. Having sold Thiago, Barca have limited cover in the midfield.
Barca has a good year round climate, little rain and plenty of sunshine.
Why would he give all this up to move to manchester

I can think of 160,000 reasons to leave.

Manchester City is simply trashing AC Milan. Guys, for your information Chelsea doesn't have single player among 10 best paid players in the world. MU has one, MC none, PSG 2 and Cavani isn't one of them, Barcelona one, Monaco one and Bayern has one.

Good stat on ramires. 55 interceptions in opponents half just last season. That's only in opponents half quite a stat to have.

Ed, I know your probably busy and had enough of the transfer questions. But if Rooney or Yilmaz don't materialise, who do you think the club will go for? Or do you think we will make do with what we've got? Personally I would love for us to push hard for Levandowski, failing that El Shaarawy could be a good little buy. I wouldn't mind starting the season with Lukaku, Nando and El Shaarway. They all offer something different. My preferred forwards would be Lukaku, Nando and Yilmaz. This is more realistic and enough to push for silverware on all fronts.

I'd be well happy with yilmaz, Torres and lukaku. I really believe Jose will get best out of Torres. He won't have any of the that mooching about shoulders arched.

Go for Rooney but if that fails then get Suarez

In light of all the recent transfer bids and massive prices, really glad we have so many world class, talented youngsters tied down til 2017. We are talking some MASSIVE resale values. The youth investments are sometimes a bit of a slow burner but you can really see the value in it now with £85 million bids flying about.

For everything the media and certain supporters have said about our reckless spending it seems we've actually been one of the wiser more forward thinking clubs. Good luck City etc

If there is dilemma Suarez or Rooney, I would pick Suarez. He would fit better than Rooney the way Chelsea plays. I am aware it's very unlikely, still.

Luis Suarez has been banned for 25 matches, for non red card offences, in total since October 2010. Top quality player with great stats but that's the stat football clubs should worry about because he won't change! If it was a straight choice between the two it'd have to be Rooney!

Rooney all the way. Sorry ness but your talking rubbish again.

With Rooney Chelsea will have to play 2 CF. There is no doubt Rooney is a better player but who would fit better is completly different subject. Read, think before you post. IMO. none of them will join at least it looks like at the moment. I've posted, several times that, Rooney is prime target during time when eds and o ther people were certain that it was Ca vani. DDuring May and begining of June.

You make your posts so cryptic it's hard to figure out what u mean in the first place. Rooney would fit better in my opinion. Maybe you need to think before you post ness.
