Believable0 Unbelievable10

Moura aint coming!

Agree7 Disagree0

Why is cole left centre back and rami or essien left back ?

Agree0 Disagree1

That line up would get absolutely torn to shreds, providing you could get the ball from them that is

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone needs to chill out on fifa

Hey Mates!

Wanted to run this by you all, what if instead of spending 35mil+ on a quality striker we give Torres and Sturridge a shot as lone striker and invest in Moura who is an awesome winger with great speed and can take on players and get to net as well. We could go into a 4-5-1 kinda with Marin and Moura on wings, Hazard/Mata/Oscar playing high inside behind striker and Ramires/Essien being deep in middle. I feel this would be potent not only in middle of field but down both flanks as well. We could get Moura and Moses as a squad player to back up wings and 3rd striker for same price as overpriced strikers. What do you think??

Believable1 Unbelievable4

I think it's no good having good wingers if there's nobody to get on the end of there good work, thats why we need another good striker

Agree1 Disagree0

Dont need moura....

Agree2 Disagree0

Oscar is better than moura and will be 10 times the play he will ever be

if we signed another brazilian the only one i would want to sign is neymar

Hey Guys,

At this moment in time, this is our strongest lineup for next season:

--------------Cech-------------
Ivan-----Terry-----Luiz------Cole
-------Ramires------------------
-----------------Oscar----------
Marin---------Mata--------Hazard
-------------Torres-------------

Plus, against more attacking teams, I would replace Ramires for Essien to play as a deep-lying defensive midfielder. This would make our defence impenetrable!

Any thoughts?

Samir

Believable3 Unbelievable3

It's ok

But sadly with all that attacking talent we need a natural defensive midfielder just to anchor the 5 in front of him.

So for me Mikel or Essien has to do that job every game

Agree3 Disagree0

I like that line up. With all games we got coming up, lamps Essein mikel can get lots games along with Marin Sturridge . All this talk on new striker, who do we realistically expect, falcao cavani lewendoski jovetic not looking likely and Moses is no striker ,

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see marin on the right, could be wrong tho

Agree1 Disagree0

Ye defiantly for attacking, with so many attacking players ivan will have to stay back which aint a bad thing BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree1

This is what i find so hard to workout, what will the team be rami will be waisted cdm he works very well attacking and isnt the greatest defender ,its a hard 1 to encourprate all the new players aswell as our previouse good players

Hey guys,

Truly believe we are still weak at defensive midfield, how about selling Mereilles, Malouda, Ben Ayoun and Essien ( probably get 15mil for them and get us a top notch midfield destroyer like M'Villa, Capoue, Felaini etc... I love our additions so far but feel we need a quarterback to help transition defense to offense quicker, win more balls in the middle of field and be able to close quicker.

Your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Offloading players like that is very difficult because they want to stay, chelsea demand high fees and the fact that thier wage demands are very high, i cant see us getting rid of all of the deadwood this summer

Agree1 Disagree0

Ess looked gd pre season, if he is we dont need any 1. BLUEBOY1

Agree4 Disagree1

Good call!
If essien comes back to the player he was, it will be better than any signing. He used to set the tempo of a game. I got man u, arsenal mates that have agreed on this.
Luke

Agree4 Disagree1

How can you justify wanting to sell essien

yes he werent amazing last season but he had just come back from a long injury

he will get his form back this season and back to being one of the best defensive midefielders at the moment

curt

Agree2 Disagree2

I think he came back too soon aswell, remember the push to get him back playing?

Agree1 Disagree0

That is correct mate showed how desperate we were last season in all honesty you wait this season he will be a machine

I have to say that the 'Ben Ayoun' bit made me fall off my chair laughing.

1) Why are chelsea fans talking about robbie leaving already and pep taking charge, we haven't even played a competitive game yet, some of you are unbelieveable!

2) What makes you think Pep is guarenteed success if he comes, which btw im not convinced he will? He didnt assemble that squad, it was already there. He would never of had that amound of success without messi, which btw hazard is not. Im afraid RA and a lot of chelsea fans are putting all their eggs in one basket because hypothetically if pep eventually gets sacked, who then?

You should think about that...

AG

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I agree mate people are reading into the signings we have made too much thinking there for guadiola and maybe not just because there the rising stars at the moment

curt

Thats the point were talking about, i havent said get di matteo out and i want pep. because i dont di mo deserves his chance BLUEBOY1

I wasnt aiming at you blue boy mate just at the people that already want him out before hes started

amazing how quickly people forget last season when we lose a couple of pointless friendlies

Pep was barca b coach before he made the step up so technically he did put that squad together

Hi ed, what does everyone think of Shane Long or Steven Fletcher as a back up to Nando, they will both be reasonably cheap by our standards, are proven goal-scorers in the prem and know the premiership inside out.
ChelseaL

Believable2 Unbelievable5

A few months back i would of laughed at you however you have a fair point there but i just dont think there big enough names to be at chelsea

Are you jokin funniest post today haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure its funny pal? after Gourlay comes out and says we are looking at cheaper options because of FFP. We dont want someone who's gonna overtake FT9 but someone who can come off the bench and score goals if FT9 is having a bad day at the office

Many supporters are calling for Chelsea to sign highly priced players such as Edinson Cavani, but I’m afraid that won’t happen, neither will Hulk, unless there prices drop somewhat significantly. The reason why?The new fair play regulations bought in to football meaning there is restrictions as to how much you can spend in a certain amount of time. Gourlay also stated Chelsea’s desire to ‘break even’, meaning they are looking at cheaper options, players that are worth around the £6-£12 million mark.

I think we all know by now that Chelsea want to sign a right back and a right sided winger, to improve our right sided resources. Today there have been various sources including Metro, reporting that Chelsea have had a £6 million bid rejected for Marseille right back Cesar Azpilicueta. Marseille do want to sell the player though, and are set to demand £10 million for the 23-year-old Spanish international. More than likely a deal will be agreed for somewhere in the region of £9 million. Right back position sorted? Very likely now.

There has been huge calls for Chelsea to sign another striker, with it being seen as a risk to rely on Torres and Sturridge, with Lukaku looking to go out on loan. So this is why I believe we are doing so much to try and sign Wigan’s Victor Moses, who is predominantly a winger. Di Matteo however, will be aware of the players versatility being able to play as an attacking midfielder, and more importantly, as a centre forward, hence providing suitable cover for Fernando Torres. Chelsea have already had three fairly low bids rejected by Wigan for Moses, but it is said that they are now willing to meet somewhere near to Dave Whelan’s £10 million value for the Nigerian international.

Meanwhile, it looks as if there is only a matter of time before Chelsea sell Yossi Benayoun and Florent Malouda, in order to free up some room in the squad. Whilst De Bruyne and Lukaku are expecting to tie up loan deals soon. Chelsea are even willing to listen to offers for Michael Essien, despite the player stating his desire to stake his claim in the squad.

Whatever happens, Chelsea are now looking at younger talent as apposed to older peaked players that they have done in the past. Younger players that Gourlay has described will become valued in the region of £40 million once they’ve peaked. A good move forward by the club in my opinion.

Shak

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Its been said before forget the fair play rule for the moment

Agree2 Disagree1

And this was coppied off of cfc net or vital or 1 of the chelsea unofficial sites cuz i read it.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's not his opinion anyway. That's a copy and paste from a different website. Unless he's a journo for them which I'm doubting.
Marley

Agree2 Disagree0

Bare in mind that the fair play rule suggests that you should only spend what you earn, Chelsea won the Chams League £50mil and the FA Cup £20mil and have spend £65mil on players so far. £5mil spare over and there is season ticket sales, sponsorships and merchandise sales to count up so there is plently left to spend. Also the rule has not yet been fully exercised and Platini will be having a rethink when he see's what PSG has spent. {Ed002's Note - It does not work like this at all. Sorry.}

Agree2 Disagree1

To the poster above - Google the FFP rules, will help you get a better understanding.

IB.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we did have to worry about the fair play rule though ed surely paris saint germain are breaking the rule more than us??

curt {Ed002's Note - I am on the road - I will be back perhaps Friday and will try to take the time to explain.}

Agree0 Disagree3

I know what the purpose of the FFP rules are and they do like to use the word 'Encourage' alot. This is from UEFA's FFP objective sheet:
• to introduce more discipline and rationality in club football finances;
• to decrease pressure on salaries and transfer fees and limit inflationary effect;
• to encourage clubs to compete with(in) their revenues;
• to encourage long-term investments in the youth sector and infrastructure;
• to protect the long-term viability of European club football;
• to ensure clubs settle their liabilities on a timely basis.

And to say this has been in effect since 2010 apparently, they must be just taking a loose view on it all. Its more money out of their pocket you see.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ah ok thanks ed enjoy your travels

curt

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon people, do you really think that Ron Gourlay, Roman and all the other top boffins at Chelsea have completely forgotten about the FFP ? I'm sure the club knows where it stands even if we don't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lads do agree with me that these signings are just telling u that pep is gonna be our new boss after next season! They are his type of players! And a 2yrs deal for RDM is strange to me! Why not a 4yr deal like we been giving other managers.

I just wouldn't be surprised at all if pep is having a say on transfer targets.

I think he will come and RDM will still have some sort of roll to play when pep arrives something like assistant manager or first team coach (if they not the same thing).

Wots ur views and no abuse its just a thought! And sign ur posts

Pinky

Believable1 Unbelievable7

As long as we bring the premiership home i dont really care

but i think your reading into it too much to b honest mate

curt

Agree3 Disagree4

I agree mate, I think when peps had time out and he's ready to return, roman will get him. If RDM isn't doing much with our squad before jan I can see us trying to get him half way through the season. I would love to see him as our boss as well.

Don't get me wrong I respect RDM and I like him but sometimes I'm not sure on his tactics. I've never been a fan of him putting Ramires on the right. Yh he can do a job there but he's much better in the centre. And why has he been playing malouda during pre season. We need to get rid of him!

Ads

Agree3 Disagree0

To be honest, I think it has more to do with the style of football that the club is now looking to play.

Not necessarily related to next seasons manager, whoever that may be.

IB.

Agree3 Disagree1

Not only that di matteo gets a 2 year deal, but after a year chelsea or robbie him self can release him of his contract. i mean come on pep didnt want a job this seasonnbut next season he does. slightly suspicious. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree1

Spot on IB

trueblue012

Agree1 Disagree4

Rami played right side because there was no one else better and Malouda played pre-season because 1- we were missing players to olympics/rest after euros etc and 2 - if you are trying to sell a player its not a bad idea to let them play and 'showcase their talents' ... not that I'm convinced Malouda has many of those left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might knock his price up if he could of done something

i remember when we first brought malouda me and my mate used to slag him off for being a donkey

then he had a couple of good seasons and it shut me up

then he just went back to a donkey

curt

Agree1 Disagree1

Same as that curt
Couldnt stand malouda and kalou
Then malouda done good top
Chelsea scorer of season and all that
Then he joined kalou on my list of chelsea persons again

I guess we need to find the right formation which will suit better to our players, their own talents and most importantly whole as a team.

I would like to switch to 4-1-4-1 or some of you can even say 4-3-3 some times.

----------------------------CECH----------------------------

IVANOVIC-------LUIZ---------------J. TERRY--------COLE

---------------------------ESSEIN--------------------------
----------RAMIRES---------------------OSCAR-------------

MATA----------------------------------------------HAZARD

--------------------------F.TORRES--------------------------

Substitutes: turnbull, cahill, azpilicueta, mikel, lampard, marin, sturridge

Many of you will ask me about not selecting lampard in the starting XI but i guess he will have his chance in place of ramires/oscar when required.
Essein when fully fit i will select him ahead of Mikel any day.
Marin on bench as substitute to hazard/mata.
Sturridge on bench as substitute to F. Torres.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

This is our strongest line up no doubt. lamps benched but id rather mceachran on the bench than mikel.

Agree1 Disagree1

Only Bad thing is we would be better off playing Mata and Hazard more centrally as it would be easier for them to play short passes and to do what Mata done last season - all this is my opinion btw

Two possible line ups.

-----------------Cech----------------
Apzilicueta----Luiz----Terry----Cole
---------Ramires---Mikel------------
Hazard-------Oscar--------J.Mata
--------------Torres-----------------

Or

---------------Cech-----------
Ivanovic--Cahill--Terry--Cole
---------Oscar---Mik/Rami---
Rami/Marin--Hazard--Mata
-----------Torres------------

I think that the first formation is the one that we should play against the tougher teams and depending on how Apzilicueta plays early on in the season it could be him or Ivanovic.

For the second formation I think that if we played this against the not so tough opposition then it would be alright. If we played that back four, that is a completely solid back four which may allow Rami and Oscar to play in that hinge. But I think that it would in the end come down to having Mikel play in there with Oscar but it would be interesting to see what happens.

Would love your thoughts chaps!

PR!

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The top team is the one i am hoping to see, i believe Oscar should be playing closer to the striker simply because of his ability to find players in the box, he is just fantastic at it.

1st team is good I'll admit it but the the 2nd team is well below average
