Really bad that was and im normally over positive, surely, surely De Bruyne would of done more than Malouda, its impossible to do less every single time he plays, same with Miereles, surely Mcecheran would of done more, theyre just so slow and sloppy in possesion. The ONLY positive is Bertrand will get a run out next game, unforunatley though its against united. Racking my head to try and think of what formations would work with the players available and i cant.
Personally i think we should have a front 3 of Sturridge Lukaku Torres, id put Sturridge on the left purely so he cant keep cutting in and taking ridiculous shots(wouldnt play him at all if we had more options), on the left he'd be forced to square it, id opt for Torres on the right just because he's a better all round player and hes not selfish, plus hes got to keep dropping deep and wide anyway, which only leaves Lukaku up top, which might not be bad hes a lump that could hold it up, We need Mata in midfield, hes the only player who releases the ball anywhere near quick enough, Essien has got to start, if Lamps is fit then him, if not Romeu holding instead of Essien,

I'm really getting fed up with the lack of passion some of the players are showing. Squad really needs a clear out. At the moment i have no confidence in the team.... I really can't remember the last time we were 2 goals ahead of a team. These days we are struggling against wigan,norwich,swansea,villa,fulham,qpr etc. Im just stunned, man utd or city literally pelt these teams and here we are struggling.
Champions league football is a must for chelsea and at the moment we are on deep trouble.
Can't stand malouda,merielez,bosingwa. These players are a disgrace.

I can't believe I put Bosingwa at right wing but at the moment he is probably our only option there, I refuse to put Malouda in the starting line up plus Lampard and Ramires will probably be out. Sturridge on the left means he won't take up Torres's space and Mata in the middle means Torres can finally get some balls in behind the defenders. Bossy is an alright crosser and has pace so I stuck him on the right although we could potentially put Lukaku there but he's not a natural winger but then again neither is Bosingwa. I feel we need to change from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 as it allows more expansive play and plays to our strengths if we put Ramires on the right of the 3 behind Torres.

We can blame the players week in week out but at the end of the day AVB has to shoulder some blame.He is trying to play 4-3-3 with a team not capable of doing that.We lack pace and creativity which is as fans have been saying since this time last year.We put all our eggs in one basket and went for Modric,where spurs held firm.Where was our backup plan,we desperatly need players to go into the team now,not in two/three years.I think it all comes down to respect and I don't think half the team believe in what AVB is trying to do and neither do I.I think the Brazilian and Portuguese players believe in AVB but the back bone of the team does not,so unless lampard,drogba and terry are sold I believe there will be a divide.Our build up play is so slow and we have become very boring to watch.I honestly would put this down as bad as when Scolari was in charge.But saying all this how many players has AVB actually brought into the club of his choice.
As a Chelsea fan I am very gratefull to roman for what he has done for Chelsea,but he just wants a puppet on strings to manage the team.De bruyne,lukaku,and even our pursuit of Modric was all being looked at before AVB took over.Basically I don't think AVB is the man to take us forward,I would love nothing more than to see Jose return and be given a huge amount of cash to rebuild the team.
Yes after a performance like that of course you can blame the players, they should be able to play ten times better than that with no manager. I'm not one to slate players but that performance was disgraceful, I couldn't even single anyone out they were all terrible.

I don't like to single out players for criticism, especially when we have so many injuries, but Malouda is not fit to wear the shirt. The first half was the worst I have seen a Chelsea team play for a long time, Meireles wanted to be involved about as much as a vegan at a hog-roast, an Mata looks worryingly knackered as well.

Our Midfield looks awful atm :( slow, predictable and no creativity or pace what so ever. People are rubbishing Torres but wheres his service? Where are the through balls to him, hes a lethal finisher who hasnt been created anything. Ive got my fingers and toes crossed for a l8 deal for Lucas Moura

Readig through manu sites including this one and the majority of fans have the same opinion and If all Chelsea fans can see the problem why does no1 at Chelsea see this. I hate to say it but by end of the season we could be seeing another new manager walk through the door.

I know that avb should be given time to prove himself but honestly some of his decisions have been awful,why on earth does he still have the confidence in malouda when essien was clearly available.and cahill shouldve also been given the nod with iva playing at RB.our first half display was so horrible and we clearly lack in the middle of the park.i feel
we should give piazon a chance also bertrand at LB so ashley at least has some competition.cant wait to see who we get in the summer,meanwhile i just hope we qualify for CL next year.

Incredibly lucky to get the draw but at least we got a point. Have to say, though we were shocking!
19 attempts on goal but not one really clear-cut chance! Weve shown we can pass it around midfield but there is no balls at all going to the strikers! The only time torres ever receives the ball is when he comes to the halfwayline.
Now i'm not a big fan of sturrige but because he has scored so may this season ive laid off him so far but he has been so poor of late! he drifts into the centre, forcing torres out wide where all he can do is pass it backwards.
How come none of our midfielders seem capible of playing an early ball over the top or a cheeky through ball?

I have posted a couple of times in the last 15mins or so about the poor team we have out, while still defending AVB, and i just keep reading posts bemoaning how aweful he is and demanding his head (AVBs). While i am not watching the game i can see the stats that are coming up, and they seem to tell a fairly obvious story, 17 shots to Swanseas' 6 58% possession in the latter stages 11 corners to 1. We are clearly not doing to badly but we dont have the players to take the chances. Other than Torres (and we all know his problems) we dont have what i would consider a natural goal scorer in the squad, and if Torres isn't scoring we are having to rely on players who are always unlikely to get 20 goals a season. We have fairly average players at best, and are struggling to bring in better ones, Meireles is a fantastic case in point, a last min buy during the summer window, and obviously a less desirable target than some of the other players we were linked with, but Meireles was all we could get. We need world class players before we can consider ourselves title contenders, and at the moment im not sure our squad is capable of getting into the top4, especially with the likes of Spurs, who have a much better squad than ours, competing with us.

what a pile of rubbish. i sent in a post earlier raising concerns about our midfield re Mereiles and Malouda who have been as i suspected terrible. Does AVB see something completely different from us fans that he persists in sticking with those 2. Sturridge has been absent. Fans will come on and slate Torres but how is he to perform in that team with that midfield who are average to say the least. As we've been saying all season so slow in passing its boring. Lets hope for something better in the 2nd half to lift our spirits. {Ed001's Note - Meireles had 5 good games last season, he was awful the rest of the time, I really didn't understand why Chelsea wanted him!}

Yes and he was the choice of AVB. The club just blew, was it 13mil on him. If thats the calibre of player he likes I think it's better other people in the club decide who is bought. On tonight we were awful. Never created one clear opening in the whole match and its been like that all season. We can't open teams up at all. Too slow and noboby able to take players on and create space. And AVB will give us the same old interview how Swansea closed the space down. Well its up to him as a coach to see how this can be opened up and hes not doing it. Serious concerns about finishing in top4 with the others around us winning and utd come this weekend who are going for the title. Is AVB the man to lead us.I doubt it

Its not like he has much choice, who else can play? Bran does not like playing RB leaving us with only one option, regardless of how poor he is, Lamps, ramires, Obi and Essien are injured or recovering from injury. And there are no options on the wing worth talking about rather than Mata and Sturridge. The squad is poor, and the team you would expect to start important games is also weak. It isnt AVBs fault, he inherited an aging and thin squad and is finding it difficult to rebuild, not least because the aging players are reluctant to see there starting places taken from them.

Hey Everyone.
Everyone is saying that we won't buy anyone. I don't think this is true though. Look at what happened last time:
* Within an hour till the transfer window had closed, the David Luiz deal was suddenly back on, and it LITERALLY came out of the blue. No one was expecting it.
* Within HALF AN HOUR till the summer transfer window had closed, the Raul Meireles deal was suddenly back on. And again, no one expected it at all.
I do think something will happen. Just because there are no rumours to report on as such, it doesn't mean that Chelsea aren't working on a deal with a couple of players behind the curtains.
But then again, I might be wrong.
But for now, we should just forget about this, and concentrate on supporting Chelsea vs Swansea tonight. And whatever happens, happens.

People, AVB needs the backing of the fans, january is a difficult time to buy, unless your willing to pay over the top like we did this time last year. We should aim for a top 3 finish and a good champions league run. Then rebuild early next summer before the euros.

i think chelsea would not sign any player to bring their season back on track. they signed cahill who is a decent player, not the best. only god knows how he will perform against messi, ronaldo, sanchez, augero type players. then de bruyne would go on loan, so no contribution from him this season. if we sign bamford, he would go to reserves and that's it. who will score goals?? torres doesn't seem like scoring. wiilian can't be signed becoz he wud have work visa problems like rajkovic had becoz he hasnot played much for brazil team. hazard seem to be a distant dream still. krasic on loan is an option, but loan players have not done good at chelsea in past (maniche, quaresma). josh has gone to swansea, but would he get enough games there, or would he be sold like proensik has been sold to AC Milan?
the type of players chelsea are sigings could flourish if they are given chance at first team and inducted gradually. otherwise there is no point in playing junior fantasy league. kakauta was wunderkid few years ago and now see his level. is he better than raul merieles!! yes he is and see who is playing in team.

You can never be disappointed when you dont expect too much.Learn people,learn.The current players we have in the squad knows how to play football,they only need a good manager to motivate them.Go back and watch the game against united,that is looking like the best we have played this season.We didnt bottle it against Tottenham.We beat City.Liverpool defended with 5 men.......My boys aint bad really.
