Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is that you Steve?......

Agree6 Disagree1

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a bit too young to know really but didn 't he/you make quite an early debut? can't of been bad if thats the case.(contrary to everything I've heard haha)

One day left to save our season.

If we are really serious in achieving at least champions league slot, we should not wait till D̶̲̥̅ summer transfer windows before we improve our squad. If we now see ourselves out of the CL slot, which player would be interested in signing for US? Its already late though. Signing player that won't give any immediate impact to D̶̲̥̅ team is meaningless. Planning for D̶̲̥̅ future is good, whereby you buy n loan out, but we nEed immediate impact, that will make the team solid Α̲̅πϑ take us to another level. We are not really playin right now like the chelsea I have been supporting in the past. Pls, Α̲̅πϑ pls make me happy again!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

What is 'D̶̲̥̅'

Don't think we are going sign anybody else lads. Which means we may get the FA cup and that's about it.

Players that AvB must get rid of:

Mikel
Malouda
Bosingwa
Ferreira
Essien
Kalou

Players that AvB must start bringing into the First Team:

Lucas Piason
Ryan. Bertrand
Lukaku
McEachran

Players that should be bought in th summer transfer window:

Falcao or Pato
Hazard
Xherdan Shaqiri
Osil (if possible)

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Why Essien?, Plus your getting rid of 2 right backs and not bringing another one in. Wouldnt complain at the rest though

SHED END

Agree4 Disagree0

Why essien? give him a chance

Agree2 Disagree0

Im getting so sick of this shaqiri crap 1 average game against united in cl,and everyone bands his name about like hes the next messi.be honest how many times you seen him play other than against utd.and you had the cheek to say essien out.1 of the best midfielders of his generation and you want a player in who you have seen once against utd lol my god i hope you finished your homework b4 you wrote that post, its probably to late for you to read this now but you can see it either b4 school with your ready brek or after school tommorow.plz stop basing your knowledge on 1 game.oh bye the way i think we should sign wilfred zaha i have only seen him once against cardiff but boy did he look good lmao

Agree2 Disagree2

I want us to sell Essien as well he gets injured waaaaay to much Ramires is better any way. {Ed001's Note - really? Essien on form was the best midfielder in the world under Jose, Ramires is a long way from him yet, though he is excellent.}

Agree4 Disagree1

Bit of a rash call mate, give him a chance firs,t if hes fit and somewhere near his best he's worth more to us than the 20 odd we'd get for him

SHED END

Agree2 Disagree1

Unfortunately we are not under Jose any more. {Ed001's Note - I was just questioning the Ramires being better than Essien bit. Ramires still has a way to go to reach that level, in my opinion.}

People talkking rubbish about tevez forget he has been lying on a beach in argentina for most of the season and has played virtually no football this season I don't see it happening be realistic he won't be match fit either

Do you know where Ron Gourlay is at the moment, and Where did Peter Kenyon go i liked him. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea where Ron Gourlay is now - perhaps a restaurant. Kenyon has provided consultancy since he left.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is that consultancy to Chelsea? or just a general role of consultancy? Cheers

TB {Ed002's Note - Nothing to do with Chelsea.}

J'aime Chelsea Football Club et c'est mon désir brûlant d'afficher mes talents là-bas. J'ajoute à cela que AVB est un grand homme et sur parlant avec Bluethruandthru, ne doute pas que c'est là que mon avenir sera. Salut maman

translates to
"i love Chelsea Football Club and it is my burning desire to display my talents there. I add to this that AVB is a great man and upon speaking with Bluethruandthru, have no doubt that this is where my future will be. Hi mom"

any truth in this Ed?

Bluethruandthru {Ed002's Note - Twitter is it?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who supposedly said this?

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean it isn't true?! {Ed002's Note - Who said it? Does it look like something someone over the age of 8 would say.}

Agree1 Disagree0

The original poster clearly includes his own handle in the supposed dialogue alleged to be said by Hazard. So it is obviously a joke. A very poor attempt at one granted. But to anyone that can read it is not meant seriously.

Maybe AVB should stop whinging about the signings that arent his and possibly try and sign someone of his own. Unless his latest gibberish is a cry for help because he has no say in transfer deals. Have to say AVB's (admittedly short) tenure thus far has been pretty mediocre and that his comments in the summer about not needing players is looking idiotically short sighted, if he actually believed that in the first place.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It seems idiotic to me that you believe a word of what he says, not only because Ed02 has told us countless time to not read into what he says, but also because he is a manager in the premier league, a league with a history of managers that say one thing and do another. I have only supported Chelsea since 1997, and live in a foreign country to where the games are played, however, i respect the history that Chelsea represents and do not whinge about everything that goes south like the majority of supporters from 2003 onwards. I hear Citeh memberships are available online. Treat yourself.

Babayaro was awesome 3rd best left back in 15years at Chelsea, Ashley Cole #1 Greame le Saux # 2! and while im at it, Turnbull... Ed De Geoy? Bosnich? theres worse

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on about, ed de goey was awesome and also, babayaro (who too was brilliant) and del horno are both left backs. but you are forgetting chris sutton, god he was woeful

Vincent

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve wicks? He was awful?!

Agree1 Disagree1

Frode Grodas and Jes Hogh were appalling.

Gronkjaer is a Chelsea Legend he scored the goal against Liverpool that got us into the champions league the season before Roman arrived, who knows where we'd be If it wasn't for Gronkjaer we could be bankrupt or MK pensioners.

Kenny.

Agree4 Disagree1

I agree i liked Gronkear, i also remember mikal forssel who was an abolsute super sub shame about his knee's but he was amazing on his day!

Just wondering,.who would make your all time chelsea XI people? Most of mine are personal so many may disagree, and also I'm going on people who I've seen play myself, so at 18 my choices are limited, but...

Mine would be:

Cudicini
I loved him, my favourite gk. Ever, I idolised him growing up. (used to play in goal

Petrescu
Was a great player for us, great goal scoring record for a rb. A real class act.

JT
'Nuff said

Desailly
Tough one, but I'm going with marcel (even though he may have cost us the champions league final place vs. Monaco)

Cole
I loved le saux, but Cole is a great defender and gets so many assists. Plus we took him from arsenal..

Lamps
Need a goal? Talk to Frank.

Makelele.
So underrated he may have become overrated, but pure class.

Wise.
He was the JT of the pre 2000 chelsea. Great player, leader (if a bit temperamental)

Robben.
My favourite ever player.

Hasselbaink.
First person I ever saw score more than 20 goals for us in 1 season. I say no more, bit legend.

Zola
Ok, not a left winger, but ed is always saying don't think of a position when attacking. If anyone was intelligent enough to play with that fluidity, its Franco. Our best ever player many say. Certainly the best I remember.

Bench:

Cech
Probably should be 1 but I loved Cudicini growing up.
Carvalho.
Close to the 11 but Desailly pipped him. Makes the bench
Essien.
Brilliant player for us. I'll always remember THAT goal.
Mata.
I know only 6 months in, but he has single handedly (almost at least) kept us in champions league contention this year. That and I never really liked Duff for some reason.
DD.
Tough but I think Didi deserves this. Hope he gets the 2 more he needs for 100 pl goals before he leaves, to take the place in history he deserves.

What do people think? What are your 11's?

Rowey.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Do I smell a post Abramovich fan in our midst

Agree0 Disagree3

I agree, my faves of that era were
carlo
cole, terry, gallas, johnson
robben, lamps, makalele, zola
hasselbaink, drog.

losing gallas was the worst for me, if mourinho had played him at centre back we would have won more and kept him, when he played with terry we never conceded, dont know why mourinho couldnt see it

Agree1 Disagree2

I always think your best 11 should be on the basis of the players you've seen. That's why ossie, greaves, Cooke etc don't make it.
Cech
Gallas Desailly Terry Cole
Makalele
Gullit. Lampard
Zola. Robben
Drogba
Subs
Cudicini
Carvalho
Poyet
Essien
Nevin
Hasselbaink
Gudjohnsen

Agree1 Disagree0

My first team 11 is similar to yours, its difficult to put a post on here about greatest team ever when you are clearly so young. My first game was in 1995 and i'm guessing yours would be similar. for me my 11 would be De Goey, Ivanovic, Terry, Leboeuf, Cole, Poyet, Lampard, Makelele, Robben, Zola, Mata

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post, so many classic players, My favourtie era was without a doubt 97-02, Poyet, Vialli, Le bouf, Flo, Di Matteo, Deschamps, De Goey, i couldnt choose 11,, only 23 myself so would end up leaving a lot of older legends out. I would of only been about ten but i still remember when we got Casiraghi and he got injured straight away and i cried for days apparantley!! he would of been up there. The good old days without a doubt

SHED END

p.s, Original poster, Petrescu was a handy right winger for his first few seasons with us aswel

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah ok shed. Explains 25 in 200 games at rb...

And person who.said post abramovic fan... if you read the top bit, plus only 2 of my 11 were bought by Roman anyway...

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot to sign.

Rowey

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably not the best team, but these are the players I watched growing up and are without doubt my footballing heroes.
