Anyone going to the Everton match. Sing everyone's names. Mata. Hazard. Oscar. Ivan. Cahill. Cole. Cech. Schurlle. Torres. Every squad member. And if he plays. Sing loudest for Lukaku. Clap everything he does. Applaud his ideas even if it doesn't have the execution. If he scores then give him a standing ovation and act as if his goal has won us the league. Chant for him. Scream for him. If he is subbed off, regardless of performance, give him a standing ovation. He deserves some love right now. And we as the fans need to give him it. We have potentially the greatest striker in the world in our ranks and it would be cruel and stupid to shackle his potential by keeping his mind on one poor kick in a Supercup in Prague as a child. Read, look, remember. He loves our club: we need to show him that love back.
Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian wonderkid.

Good post Windsor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really nicely put. He's a young lad and last night must have been terrible for him. Totally deserves all our support.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need some new chants for the new players. we need songs for hazard and oscar and mata and all our new guys

Hazard and Cech, I will remember u guys even in my grave, for the love of God please no one should blame Lukaku. this match proves that we are no more europa league winning team even with 10 men. It was a massacre in our super cup match before this one. UP CHELSEA

Proud of that. My heart goes out to Romelu Lukaku, he's a Chelsea fan and a terrific young player and he choked. Better and more experienced players will do this in shoot-outs. Schweinsteiger for example. Regardless, it will hurt but at least it doesn't mean to much and he will have knocks and he's got to learn from the good and the bad to end up world class which he can become. It's a trophy and it hurts to lose. Not going to hide it. But we competed and matched Bayern for 120 minutes. We scored two great goals. We looked solid at the back and unlikely to concede for very long periods. The back five were immense alongside Oscar, Schurlle, Hazard and Torres. Ramires got himself a silly red card. Lampard as much as I love him needs to be phased out. We created chances. Several poor misses. Neuer made some fantastic saves. We hit the bar. And we did this with ten men against the best team in Europe lead by the UEFA European player of the year. No one matched them like that last year. And then you can add Mata, Willian, Eto'o, MVG, Essien, Azpilicueta, De Bruyne, Bertrand and Kalas to that squad that was involved today. We have strength in depth in nearly every position. Maybe a CB and CDM but other than that I see no reason why we can't win the league and challenge properly for the CL this season. It hurts but hey at least it's not at our stadium and at least this trophy is little more than a accolade rather than a title eh? ;)
Win, lose or draw, I don't care. It's blue what else matters?

Honest fan love your input, keep it honest and straight

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you watched Lampard this game? Led the team superbly threw himself in front of everything and set up a few counters. He is still as good as anyone in our team

Honestly we are in a lot of trouble since mourinho resort to given lampard our def mid, for GOD sake the Man can't challenge he did only can 3 decent challenges, he is old tired and still mourinho prepared him in the role where the statistics shows he is the worst def mid ever in cfc, with KDB Or essien we could have won easily all the work was done by rami, hazard, schrulle while he wondered around pointing fingers as if in training showing them what to do as if he is the Coarch. Simple miurinho cost us this cup by standind for lamps, so that he gets his ENG slot for world cup to our detriment and wise up mourinho your clock might start ticking now, we have the flair players why play negetive and defensive football our flair players are better than munich one on one, eee

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chill out dude

Agree0 Disagree0

Go to bed mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus Christ Zaria did someone piss on your cornflakes, if you have to blame anyone take a look at Ramirez not lampard. I was happy with the teams performance though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lamps had a good game, if you could do better Chelsea would have employed you! Bare in mind this is a team that beat Barca 7-0 on agg, we did well considering Ramires should NEVER have been send off and Lukaku missed a pen in the biggest game of his career so far so chill out.

Agree0 Disagree0

You talk about negative football? Yes, for stretches we had to sit back and defend, but have you taken a look at Bayern? They are a fantastic team, so it's normal. I thought we played brilliantly. Our counters really worked well and we defended very well.
As most others, I'm very proud of the team because we played a very competitive game against the treble winners and matched them all the way. If they play at this level for the rest of the season, then I see only a bright future for this squad.
Congrats boys

Agree0 Disagree0

Lampard was useless up until ramires got sent off. After that he defended well. But peoe saying he was amazing and outstanding need to take off their blue tinted glasses. At the end of the day were not playing to our strengths for our attacking players.

Jose just said no more signings. Should we take that comment with a pinch of salt ed? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea why you wish to hang of the words of Mr Mourinho, Ron or anyone else.}

Just wanna say we have proven tonight we can hang with europes elite even with 10 men. Thought our counter attack was strong and defence excellent. Unlucky to conceed last 1min and hope the Lukaku miss doesn't let get his head down.

Geoffrey Kondogbia in the middle and we are set :) {Ed018's Note - he signed for Monaco}

Am tired of watching Lampard Ramirez all day . for the love of God they are humans and they might get tired for 4 matches in 2weeks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not Rami, he's our best in that position that looks natural for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramires is not a midfielder at all, couldn't hit a pass for nuts and can't tackle, that was a cowards tackle tonight. I felt sorry lamps in there on his own.

Agree0 Disagree0

God knows what you have been watching Kenny rami breaks up more play and makes more tackles than anyone without hi, in the centre we would have zero cover for the back four. So he messed up one challenge anyone can make an error to say he can't tackle is utter crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley man of the match, excellent.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Been brilliant agreed. But lampard what a waste of space, if he doesn't score what's he do? Signing van ginkel is pointless if Jose is gunna stick to his favourite people and not by how they play. We've got all these attackers and we sit back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Him or Oscar. Except for that miss Oscar has been phenomenal in both attack and defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mind you Cahill is now pushing hard quality tackling.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone slagging Lampard is a disgrace Ramires is clearly the weak link, not physical enough and can't pass.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lampard was outstanding.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its unfair to say either are a weak link. They just don't seem to play well together. I would prefer to see Van Ginkel in there with Ramires, but both players always try there hardest and generally play well and its unfair to criticise them.

Agree0 Disagree0

*their

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe they don't play well together because one is not a dm, not good defensively at all and often leaves the other exposed. Let the video decide.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bayern Munich is hardly the game to chuck van Ginkle in for his full debut

Ed's I was curious is there any update on Bertrand Traore not heard his name for a while after all the media coverage from asia, Many Thanks {Ed018's Note - they will try and sign him when he turns 18 in September}

Imo Chelsea need to stop pumping the ball long, all it does is give them the ball back so they can start another attack, we look much better when we keep the ball down

Just get the feeling that Jose is saying he wants to keep mata, but by keep leaving him out, he is trying to make him more agreeable to a move if an offer comes in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mata was injured, had long season and he isn't fully fit yet. He will stay and play. Mata isn't out favor of JM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sid you may well be correct, don't listen to Ness spouting his opinion like it was a fact that is not supported by any evidence. Luiz was injured, that's why he didn't even suit up for a few games. Mata appears to have been fit since he played against Villa and has been training and on the bench. With our squad depth we don't have to put injured or unfit players, who have no chance of playing, as possible subs. Luiz came back from injury after Mata and he played today.

Agree0 Disagree0

For once ness you're talking some sense mate

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2013 19:14:39
Stupid selection from Jose. I said it. Mata is going to want to leave if we keep dropping him (Ed please tell me he is injured/recovering still?) Lampard is too slow for our counter-attacking play and Torres is Torres.
Mata, Lukaku and Essien on at half time hopefully!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Windsor what happened to all that continuous summer talk of managing Lamps minutes and preserving him for certain matches along with a host of other rubbish. Look, it's on thing to play a little cheeky mind game with opposing managers and I'm not suggesting you give away your entire strategy, but don't lie to your own fans. That's not cool and I can't get behind that. I respect a man that's a man of his word.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take back this post. Should have trusted TSO. Torres and co. were impressive. I shouldn't have been so rash to judge.
As for comments about match minutes, tonight would have hardly been a good time to debut MVG now would it? I was hoping for Essien or Mikel to start but it doesn't matter.
Win lose tie, Chelsea till I die.

Oh, I'm going to be tired watching Lampard and Ramires all season! And what'll Lukaku do to get a game? Is MvG going out on loan?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Aug 2013 17:29:15
My perfect scenario for the end of this transfer window.

OUT: Ba, Torres, Mikel, Moses

IN: Varane / Mangala, Martinez/ Rooney, Dier, Bruma, Atsu (heads straight out on loan)

I know this is a long shot but chelsea have showed interest in all the players mentioned.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thank god you are not the one who makes decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

No need for that Ness. Your posts aren't exactly flavour of the month. Who would you like to see come in and go out? I'm starting to think that you are Curt in disguise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I am fed up with people spitting on Torres and Mikel. Torres is still n1 option as striker for world and European champions. Did anyone watched ACN. Mikel ruled midfield, he was also verygood on CC. It's not his fault. hat at Chelsea he plays dm inr, tead cm.

Hi Ed002, I hope you are well?

I just had a question re: Jackson Martinez. Clearly Martinez must be aware that Chelsea are interested and are willing to pay the current termination clause. Why then would he sign a new deal and therefore scupper his move to Chelsea by agreeing a higher termination clause in his contract? I don't understand the situation. Is it just loyalty to Porto and wanting to make sure they get as much money as possible? Surely this shouldn't concern him. If he wants to move to a top club he shouldn't sign a new contract. Please enlighten me if you have a better understanding of the situation.

Many thanks for your time. {Ed002's Note - He is a Porto player - perhaps he likes it there?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because the interest from chelsea is not definitely going to lead to a bid - in fact far from it as we have just signed Eto'o. This means that if he doesn't agree a new contract with a higher release clause and no bid materializes then he would be earning significantly less than he could have been. Due to the fact that he would be offered better terms with his new contract.

Rory B - that was mooted earlier on twitter due to the official site listing him between Terry (26) and Azplicueta (28).

Hi Ed. Ron Gourlay has said we could add one or two players before Monday.
Can you give any indication on any players we have in mind or what positions we're looking to cover? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea remain interested in a forward, a centre back and a couple of youngsters.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Aug 2013 09:07:41
Is it true that Torres is now officially "for sale" following Eto'o's arrival? Is rather keep Nando and sell/loan Ba. {Ed002's Note - Torres has been available all summer.}

Hi ed re gourlays comments
is there a chance of another established striker or do you think it will be youth players like Bruma. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what RG has said, sorry.}

Hey guys, what do you think of the Eto'o signing? Just wanna hear your opinion on him, I'm young and haven't really seen him okay in his prime. Feel free to chip in eds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He is an upgrade over Ba in my opinion as he suits our style better. If it doesn't work he will be gone in 8 months.

Eto'o may have lost a yard, or four, of pace but that was only one of many talents that he has.

He's still a deadly finisher in and around the box, he'll score goals; I'm sure of it. Also I remember how well he linked up play from the loan striker role when at both Barca and Inter. On a one year deal I think it's a shrewd bit of business from the club.
