Article from Daily Mail:
Falcao believes he will be a Barclays Premier League player come January.
The Atletico Madrid striker reports for international duty with Colombia this week fresh from scoring a hat-trick against Chelsea in his side's 4-1 victory in the European Super Cup on Friday night.
Falcao has already spoken to his father, Radamel, and revealed that his preference is to play for Chelsea or Manchester City.
˜There are three teams interested - Manchester City, Chelsea and a Russian team,' said Falcao senior.
˜Falcao has always wanted to play in the Premier League.
˜Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team.'
The Colombian newspapers are reporting that a pre-contract agreement has already been agreed with Chelsea and the player. ˜I don't want to talk about any pre-agreements,' added Radamel.
˜I spoke to Falcao very briefly yesterday. The minimum release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid is about 55million Euros, but Falcao doesn't want to talk figures.'
When asked about the chances of his son playing in the Premier League by the time the next transfer window closes, his father confirmed: ˜Yes, it's very likely.'
Now i'm not one to read papers and believe whats written in them, hence why i only really take Ed002's word for anything. But surely papers can not make up a quote from someone can they? I know they make up stories often, but they can't just write an article around a quote from someone (i.e. Falcaos father) that isn't true?
So if the above is correct then it looks like we could have a relatively good chance of getting Falcao in January if we so wish.

To the above post you came to that conclusion just based on the one shambolic performance by whole team in a friendly, when then whole team did not turn up.
Remember mate in the last league game against a very decent side in Newcastle he scored and had an assist. In three games he scored a goal against city in the shield. He has shown all the signs of coming back to his old self .He has won the golden boot in the Euros and has worked his ass off to regain his old form.Even if he wasn't scoring lots of goals he had made numerous assists last season and very very important ones at that.Give the guy a break,it is stupid to praise him in one match and slate him the next match.Have some faith. We have brilliant players who will be a treat to watch this season.

I'm not slating him I simply said Falcao would be a step up, cause IMO falcao is the best out and out striker in the world. Torres I'm afraid ain't as good as Falcao at holding up the ball, passing, strength, heading, finishing, pace, determination..... I could go on. Falcao is simply a better striker now and the ball wouldn't just bounce of him when he got it.

I see a lot of Arsenal fans and United fans are now admitting RVP is carrying them this season. If he is, i have to be impressed, the sheer weight alone of Rooney must be struggle for him.

Oh!Man u escape again.RVP saved them. He is Arsenal's gift to Fergie for the large number of trophies he has help Wenger win in the last 8 years.
Without RVP they had no chance of winning the title.

RVP may have put the ball in the back of the net but Scholes won Utd that game!

Agree1

True,Scholes played well ,just sat at the edge and sprayed passes but it was the bad substitutions by the Saints that cost them.
But RVP has been carrying them so far in terms getting goals.4 goals in 3 matches. He looks to be their main threat, otherwise that team looks very poor with Ronney injured.
It is just foolish Wenger to sell the most lethal striker in the league last season to their direct rivals. It would have been better if they had sold him to a foreign club for may be a bit less money. It would have left Man u pretty weak.Sure, they could have paid money to referees like Webb ,but with other teams improving they would have struggled to match even their last season's achievements.

RVP isnt carrying them at all, and being a chelsea fan you and i have to admit that in our 3 premier league game hazard has been involved in 7 of the 8 goals, so united or arsenal fans could say the same to us, just except rvp is a world class player who scores goals, but the whole team helps him get these goals...

If all this talk about getting Falcao in January is true it could be huge for this club. If we remain in the running (for the prem) by the next window and end up getting Falcao we could possibly pip the Manchester clubs to the title. This is because of his great scoring record at all of his clubs. He seems like the kind of striker that would score a lot of goals at any club he went to as long as he got the right supply. With the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Ramires, Marin it looks likely he could be banging in 2-3 goals a week. I would definitely change the formation to 4-1-3-2. This would be my team:
-------------Cech--------------
---Iva----Terry----Cahill----Cole
-------------Ramires------------
---Hazard-----Mata-----Oscar---
--------Torres-----Falcao--------
This team is just my opinion and I'm sure that a few will disagree but I believe this team could win all sorts of titles in the future.

Good formation, with Hazard, Mata and Oscar interchanging. Falcao and Torres like to help out in the mid field so would also make things better. With this and the Likes of Marin, Moses and Lamps on the bench we could actually win the league and put up a real fight in our defence of the champions league.

We all know where a bit short in the striker department but this could possibly mean two things:
1-Torres is finally given an extended run as our number one striker to see if he can come good.
2- an agreement has possibly been reached for cavani or falcao to join in January.
International break couldn't of come at a better time after yesterday's performance. We still can become world club champions so it's not all that bad. I would like us to use the up coming game v wolves to try and mix the team up:
Cech
Azpilicueta Luiz. Cahill. Betrand
Romeu. Ramires
Moses. Hazard. Mata
