Ed, I know you're saying all along that Chelsea would like 2 of Costa, Cavani, Falcao but can we really expect the signing of Cavani after Costa? Seems a little bit too optimistic and not exactly viable, wouldn't you say? Not trying to cross you or anything, it's just I can't get my head around that we would go for Cavani after already getting Costa. wouldn't be someone cheaper like Mandzukic or even Jackson Martinez a safer bet? I'm getting a bit concerned about the Hazard to PSG rumours resurfacing. It seems to me a move maybe being engineered by him or possibly even chelsea with the publicity over comments made after the athletico match. I really hope this isn't so and I wonder if you've heard any rumblings from any sources ed.

Maybe didn't pay attention to French newspapers cause they're presenting Hazard as done deal.
On the other hand English and Spanish newspapers are doing the same thing with D.Costa.
There was song by Addicts during 80's with title "Don't believe everything that you read in the press".

It's a pity EPL teams are having a laugh at us - we had all German team final last season and we are going to have all Spanish team final this season, do u guys see all EPL team final soon rather than later? . I would say certainly not because the performance of EPL teams in Europe has been soo horrible.

For three continues seasons now, Chelsea has been the only EPL team standing tall and mighty in EUROPE, UCL winners last 2 season, Europa League Winners last season, and UCL semi finalist this season with a squad facing cup ties and match bans, with no prolific strikers.

If not for the performers of Chelsea in Europe, than there had been nothing left to speak about of EPL teams in Europe - despite the names they call us and our manager and have a laugh at our style of play, they seems to forget that we beat all those so called top clubs in EPL

I would say let's all chill for now and be happy for next season because Mourinho will definitely build a tough team and show those EPL teams and Europe, the kind of manager he really is - KTBFFH

Sorry for the long post but opinions and criticism are welcome - what's your take on EPL teams performance in Europe, both the UCL and Europa League!

Good post. I was well and truly cheesed off Wednesday night. But thinking about it, we done the double on city, united and Liverpool whilst drawing and beating arsenal. Very good results! And like you say, we have been flying the flag for British teams in Europe for 3 seasons now. More than the other teams can say. Fingers crossed for a good final 2 games, then role on 2014-15 season.
