Following yesterday's fantastic result I thought I would mention how incredibly lucky we are to have a brilliant owner, football board and the best manager in the world. let's be grateful. Jose will know when the time is right to blood young players, who to buy and who to sell. Let's trust him and the club and be thankful.

Agreed. Most of us probably agree that it can be frustrating at times, but in the end we have to trust the people in charge as they have a lot more knowledge about these things than we do :)
And the people in charge are very competent at our club!

Unfortunately, I disagree with the idea that Jose will ever blood our young players. His whole career has been based on buying teams and, as he's been successful wherever he's managed, I doubt that he would see any reason to change his approach. Sad but true.

In a way I agree with you Mrs Costa, but that's mostly been due to Jose having 3 year projects which doesn't really allow for bedding in youngsters, as it's all about getting results fast. Also if you look at Inter and RM, when he took over, both were desperate to be top dogs again. Inter on the decline and Barca having won La Liga like 3 years in a row.
Jose has now spoken of staying here for life, which I know won't necessarily happen but it does speak of a longer term plan. Last season and this season have been about bringing us back up to the level where he left us and re-instilling a winning mentality, and picking up trophies. If we win the PL and go far in the CL, I do see JM trying to bed more youngsters next season. If we don't win the PL, then I feel he'll stick with the older players imo.

Great win - always good to beat Spurts - 1st of treble hopefully but. I've got a banging hangover and I feel like a rant: so, what did Zouma offer in midfield that Ake or Loftus-Cheek wouldn't have? What does Ramires ever offer (the Chelsea Legend moment in Barcelona aside) that Ake, Loftus-Cheek or Chalobah wouldn't? The same goes for Mikel. WTF did we need to spend £28mill on Cuadrado for when we have Atsu, Triore and Boga as well as Piazon (or the now sold Thorgan Hazard)? What does squad player Luis offer for £16mill that Bertrand wouldn't? The point I'm making is that we have to give our young players a chance and stop buying (unless we're talking a Pogba). Ok, rant over - where's the aspirin!

Why we bought Willian for 32m£ when we had deBruyne?
Fully agree with you!
Look what spurs got with Kane and Bentaleb.

Agreed, like I always say, if we aren't buy extraordinarily gifted players like Hazard, Fabregas or the likes it's best to use our young gifted players as squad players let's be honest with a little faith in them they could end up better than the players we spend money on.

Players like Azpi, Zouma or when we got Brana didn't cost a fortune but look at them now doing so well, I for one didn't think we should have gotten cuadrado and he might turn out a decent buy but really we have to look at this young players.

Again I really feel if it isn't Pogba we are better of giving youth a chance no need buy an average player for huge cash when are youth have the potential to surpass that level.

Feel sorry to say but I too never see what ramires offers par that magic at the nou camp. Here's to hoping Boga, Ake, RLC and Traore break the jinx.

There's always one negative person after a win. Experience wins you big games. Ake and Loftus Cheek will be a bigger part next season I'm sure.

I am not sure about other people but I find Cuadrado degrade not an upgrade on Schurlle. I am afraid Cuadrado will not be able to adapt in PL. Jose Mourinho already made mistake when he overpaid Willian, result was Kevin DeBruyne left due to lack of possibility to play.
