This may sound strange to some people
But even though Chelsea isn't playing amazingly at the moment. the fact that tough games are now westbrom and stoke is because the mid and bottom table teams are playing smart. They will bide their time, wait for a counter attack oppurtunity and most of the time have a defensive formation

I wish people would stop banging on about Mourinho coming back. Of course, he was our most successful manager but the team he inherited was (with a couple of additions of his own ) the best team in the league. Very different to the current team. Lampard, JT, Drogba and Cech were already at, or had agreed to join before Jose turned up. Pretty much the same scenario at Inter and Real. He has never built a team from scratch and has always had plenty of money to spend. Essentially he turned Ranieri's team into winners, thats what he does, he turns great players into winners. We are in a completely different situation now and if he did come back I'm pretty sure he would struggle to be as successful as the first time round and it would take TIME. And let's not forget he did go a bit mad towards the end.

If reports are right....and Rafa is being considered to take over....I will honestly go on protest and stop supporting Chelsea! He is useless.....my pick other than Jose, would be Rijkaard...he is about to be sacked from Saudi Arabia.....and lets face it...he started what Pep took over from at Barca! None the less I will back AVB....till the end....he just needs the full support of everyone....we have two many ego's in the team and AVB has a few characteristics of Sir Alex, i.e. Ronaldo, Beckham, Stam etc "U think ur bigger than the club" = OUT!!

Maybe AVB can be Jose assistant?? Lol or we can send him out on Loan to get some experience.....only messing....we gotta laugh right!!

Had I thought today.....with the WEst Brom game coming...I remember the days when we all would be like 3-0 win chelsea now....tough tough game....depressing!!

The more and more I think about it, the more I am sure that Jose will return...
Jose is a man of emotion and there is no way he would manage another English team.
If he went to Tottenham he would never be forgiven and you just have to drive past WHL and you realise it's a dump!
Arsenal could not afford him and there is no way Jose will want to spend three to four years getting them back on track.
Chelsea is his home, Where all the romance and fun began...
I feel so sorry for AVB as I know he wants to do the right things but he just doesn't have the experience and Chelsea don't have the time for him to learn in a league where 4th place means so much...
So I for one make an emotional plea to both Roman and Jose to put aside their differences and work together again as the two men who have changed Chelsea forever...
Come home Special One

Hey ED's, just been on the player profile site and I have to say it's an absolutely brilliant site, some great reading on there especially the ED022 comment at the end.

Kenny {Ed001's Note - I will pass your kind message on to him, thank you very much.}

Reading between the lines from press reports a while ago I think Roberto Di Matteo will leave his coaching post. Chelsea somehow need to find another Steve Clarke to sort out our defensive problems; he organised the defence during the Mourinho years and is doing the same with Liiverpool, who's deffense have been good all year, now! I do genuinely believe AVB will still be manager next season but in a league where the defence is so important (to quote the yonks, defence wins championships) he will need a defensively minded assistant, Di Matteo was a hearts over heads appointment! Forget bringing Mourinho back it's not gonna happen, how about bringing Steve Clarke back?

Johan Cryuff was the man who developed the current Barcelona team, and the 'Tiki-Taka' system they play; this being another form of the 'Total Football' system he had success with whilst in Holland. When he was at Barcelona most of the top coaches at the top teams came to watch his style of coaching and fed it through their teams; this eventually fed through to the national team too and now you have the likes of Mata and David Silva playing in the style! The wasn't an overnight change though, it took a new generation of players to really implement it both at Barcelona and for the national side!

There are people complaining that Chelsea are trying to be like Barcelona under AVB, with the high defensive line etc, I don't think this is true. I do think that AVB has a vision for how he wants the Chelsea team to play, but I also think he now realises that in the Premiership he is going to have to find compromises in how he wants to play and how to win games; the defensive line being a key example as we now Play with a deeper line. The only similarity between what we are doing and what Barcelona did is that a change is needed. People that expect a new man to come in and change things in one season are really living in a dream world; the change Barcelona made took, in reality, a generation. Chelsea aren't trying to become the new Barcelona just a new Chelsea but this will take time and as AVB said, when these changes are made things often get worse before they get better! Chelsea need to have faith in their convictions and stick with it!

Hold on y'all, would you. Negative? Yes i am negative with all this "project" a new Barca, high line, "attacking" Chelsea. Was negative since day 1 and still am. I wjolheartedly wish club sacks AVB. Not because i do not like him, it is because he is ruining the club i love. He is.

What do you all sugar daddy boys think? Keep AVB, let him get "his" players? There are no managers players. Have you been supporting Chelsea? The last manager to pick his players was Mourinho. Eversince there is a "commitee" which decides whom to sell and whom to get. I would rather have this "commitee" actually manage Chelsea.

Do you seriously think we will go out and buy 3-4 superstars this summer, especislly you Melbourne with your fantasy teams? That is over 100 million pounds, or more if you are talking about Cavani's and Goetze's.

He is not having his players to play his way. As we only have one way at tjis club and it is the owners way. I would have not sacked Ancelotti and would have never hired this mickey, but what do i know? Wait till we drop out of CL and FA. "Supporters".

AVB is ruining our club? JG get a grip mate. How is he ruining it? He hasnt had a chance to bring in alot of players yet and the ones he has Mata and Romeu are brilliant. Meirelles is a bit of a flop but come off it mate. Ruining the club you love, what is the thing you love about our club? Trophies? A new manager everytime they dont deliver straight away? Stop posting mate!

Sugar daddy boys? Your a bit of a clown mate. Proven by the fact you would rather the committe manager the team. The same committee that doesnt allow managers to buy their own players. Kinda sounds like they could be ruining our club. My fantasy teams? Your a knob. I dont think we will buy Cavani ya knob. I think he will go to Real and we will get Higuan. Also would prefer Moura over Goetze. Goetze will probably stay in Germany and Moura we have a shot at getting. Fantasy teams.... your in a fantasy world mate.

Lets look at the facts, Drogba, Malouda, Bosingwa and maybe Lampard will leave, are you aware of the salary cap space that provides? Probably not. As i quiet often say IF we finish 4th expect big things because I believe it to be the case.

I never get on anyones back for their opinions but you sir are a f**kwit!

Melbourne CFC

Agree3 Disagree2

Now look: Higuain and Moura, that is at least 70 million right here. And that is just two spots for your suggested 4 departures. We have offered DD a new one year extention. So the club at least now, expects him to carry on. Bosingwa has just extended, so do not expect his sudden departure. How is this dreaming.

Who told you that Lampard will leave?

If you do not get the irony in the 'comitee', i can not help. But when you say, that AVB brings his own players... Neither Mata, nor Romeu are HIS players. The club buys the players, the coach coaches the team, whatever the label: gaffer, manager, or whatever.

Don't you know, that tjis is the way our club functions? That is how we get into Torres situations, that is how we build for the future with Lukaku and do not let him play. That is a mistake.

And whenever we change the manager, we do not let him manage the team. That is why they get sacked all of the time.

And stop calling me names, i'm ain't your buddy here, you do not know me, if you disagree, do so, i'm interested in your opinion, but do you feel better if you post this s**t about me?

How are you comfortable with spending some odd 30 million pounds on some "amazing" 18 year old brazilian, who hasn't ever played a game in Europe, or buying Higuain for some 40 million. That is fantasy football, or whishful thinking.

Thus is why i say the duggar daddy fans who grew on so comfortable with Chelsea spwnding multimillion sums on players most haven't hear of.

Look, i long for the days when some former world beater would come to Chelsea to finish their carrers at the Bridge. That was so much more organic, than where we are right now.

And yes, i think AVB is ruining our club with his immaturity and incompetence. I read the other post on Cruyff. Very well put. And true. But has one flaw. Cruyff played in that system, was integral part of it, got it working first hand and knew what he was doing, when given the job.

Some other certain mister we have... Where did he get his experience - football manager? Enought of it. I explained my point, you have yours, just lets not get to the level of idiots and morons calling names, as thus will turn to quite unpleasant place to visit.

Agree1 Disagree0

Your contradicting your self, this isnt fantasy football, heaven forbid we spend £70m on 2 world class players, yet we spent £45m on sacking Anchelloti and Hiring AVB, Yet you want AVB out, so you want the club to spend another £30m on sacking a manager then hiring who? Even if Mourinho wants out wed still have to buy him out of his contract which is Mega. If the club do what u suggest we woul;d have spent close to £100m in 2 seasons hiring and firing managers, that money could have been spent on 3 world class players.

Chucking HUGE sums of money away on changing managers isnt financially viable and its so idiotic for you to so dont spend big money on buying players, but waste big money on changing managers.

We have got AVB so get behind the team, if you dont like it go support someone else until he is no longer "at the club you love".

PB

Agree1 Disagree1

I am
Not contradicting myself. You talk to me as if i am resonsible for his longevity at the club. We have a trigger happy owner. He will be sacked this year. And it isgonna cost, whatever it is gonna cost. Roman's money - his call. And that is still gonna be the same numbers you are quoting. Did you miss the part where i write that we should have not sacked Anco in the first place? And i am contradicting myself? Whatever, man. Then why fire Scolari? His hiring and sacking cost a s**tload. Why extend Grant, when you are planning to sack him, anyway?

And tell me - why not go for Hidding when he has proven to be THE man and is available without some hideous buy out clause? Would you not feel more comfortable about an away game against WBA if Hidding was in charge?

Agree1 Disagree0

You know nothing about the club, Hiddink didn't want the job. I can't even be bothered responding to the rest of the rubbish you say. 70m is fantasy on 2 players? Torres and Luiz costed what?

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree2

Yes they both cost exactly 70 million. And do you expect it to be a normal pactice onwards?

Agree0 Disagree0

I expect us to invest heavily if we make the top 4.
