I can't help but laugh at Everton who now reportedly consider it to be "detrimental" to keep Stones against his wishes for another season and will sell him to Citeh.

Pity they didn't see it that way last year when we came calling but it seems that they favour doing business with the manc clubs and there are examples, such as Lescott and Rodwell, to back this train of thought up.

I hope the club don't give them as much as a virus in the future and do not do business with them again. It is ok when they wanted Lukaku, we did not stand in his way but when we came for Stones it was unacceptable and Martinez made it personal. Koeman now doing his mates Txiki and Pep a favour. No nepotism in football apparently. Tinpot club even if they "have more league titles" than us.

I admire the club's approach, if a player wants out and an acceptable offer is made, they can go. We operate in the twenty first century, are not deluded and when it comes down to it, players are transient employees as Ed002 says.

Judging by the amount of posts you have, you don't seem to be short of time yourself.

Eds, slightly annoying question but any chance we'd pay the money to land Pogba? Or is it looking like its just Utd and Madrid will break the world transfer record?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Pogba won't be moving to Chelsea this summer.}

My money's on him moving to United this summer. They've already all but secured 2 of Raiola's players (Mhkytarian and Ibra), so I'm guessing that'll help them in negotiations with Raiola.
They've also shown that they don't mind buying a player that would rather be somewhere else (Pogba apparently preferring Madrid) . Plus they have the money.

United could very well run away with the league next season with Mourinho at the helm.

Would be a vanity signing in my opinion. United will either walk the league, or be utterly ripped apart by Jose. Not sure which to be frank.

Ed, have Chelsea agreed a deal for kante. Also have Chelsea moved on from trying for nainggolan.

{Ed018's Note - nothing has been agreed and yes it appears they have moved on }

Glad about that, Ed - haven't been that impressed with Naingolan at the euros (2 long-shots apart) .

I think nainggolan has had a good euro's, fellaini and witsel have been poor next to him.

NWBLUE, saying he's better than Fellaini and Witsel is not a great compliment!

Ed002 or Ed018, sorry to bother you. This question is not really transfer related, but I find it an interesting one nonetheless. It's about Ola Aina.
I believe his contract has now run out, but is he planning to renew with Chelsea or does it look like he will leave the club?
I think he's more than good enough to be in the mix for the right back position. And seeing as we've got only 3 fullbacks (including Ivanovic who shouldn't be playing there as he's way too slow) he should get chances if he stays.

Thanks for your time :)

{Ed002's Note - He has been a complete flake making demands the club will not meet. He has an offer on the table (as far as I know it is still on the table) and as he is out of contract he can consider other options.}

Thanks, Ed. It's a shame some of the kids are getting ahead of themselves and making excessive demands when they're in no position to do so.
I'm glad the club are being sensible.

I appreciate the reply!

{Ed002's Note - It is becoming more and more of a problem for a lot of the "leading" clubs. Most are far from ready to step up, others have found an arogance that doesn't befit children of their ages, others have expectations that are unrealistic. Interestingly it is very much more of an issue with English youngsters than those from elsewhere, and it is a problem that Chelsea has with several players.}

Might it be the case that the English media are much quicker to "hype" the younger English players than other nations? I sometimes get that feeling, though it might simply be because I follow English football much more than the rest.
I also agree that younger kids (not just football players but in general) are much more arrogant and rude etc than I remember me and my friends being (and I'm only 21). Parents also seem to allow their kids to do more than before in my opinion.
Could I ask what other Chelsea youngsters are presenting the same issue to the club? Colkett's new contract was only agree on late (his contract was running out as well) . Did he have excessive demands or something as well?

Sorry if I'm bothering you with this question. But I find it an interesting topic. Greatly appreciate your replies!

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing whatsoever to do with the media.}

English seem to think we're better than what we are. From all ranks of ages. Having the home grown rule helps them. What doesn't help chelsea is no one coming through. Apart from possibly loftus cheek. Getting chances is hard but the English have lack of belief and fight. Euros prove it youngsters prove it.
