Mario Pasalic is apparently going on loan to Monaco for the upcoming season. Hopefully he gets some decent time on the pitch as I've heard that he's a very interesting prospect. He could be one to break into the first team in a couple years' time.
Good luck, Mario!

{Ed018's Note - agree. hope he gets plenty of time as like you said I think he has a chance to play for Chelsea as well in a few years. Certainly would be nice for him or Van Ginkel to be good enough to make it}

Yeah, one of those 2 would be nice. I haven't seen Pasalic play a lot but I've read that his range of passing is superb and that he plays with a maturity beyond his years. Monaco is pretty high level of football (hopefully involving CL) and Kondogbia just left so maybe he can claim a midfield spot for himself. Ligue 1 should be another good test for him, and if he performs well again then who knows. Not many of our midfield targets seem to be available at a reasonable price these days, so our loanees could benefit from that.
I'm hoping Van Ginkel either stays with the first team or gets a Premier League loan. I still have hope for him as well.

Just watched a Pasalic clip from his season at Elche. Indeed he seems to have some fantastic passing range, with both feet. And he also looks pretty good at breaking away from midfield, some neat dribbling skills and good speed to get away from the opposing midfielders. Don't know why, but he was always one that flew under my radar. But I'll be trying to follow him more closely from next season onwards. Exciting young player we've got here.

I agree with Jackson, his passing range and dribbling are impressive. He looks like a great prospect. If he can improve his end product at the end of his runs and can perform consistently then he'd definitely warrant a place in the squad.

Hi eds
Was wondering if we were still chasing witsel
Also has kondogbia signed for inter
Cheers in advance

{Ed002's Note - I should have removed Kondogbia - he will move to Inter. Witsel is far from a chase. Chelsea were approached about him - that is all.}

Juve bidded 21 million for Oscar apparently. I wouldn't let him go for that. Price like that is a joke. He'll be a lot better this season decent rest and all. Only way I would him him go is if he definitely get pogba.

Unless sterling,pogba or greizman comes in then I think Oscar could be an important player after having his first break in years. Plus I wouldn't like him to go for less than the club paid for him.

Yeah it seems far too cheap!! I'd rather us spent 100 million on greizman pogba and begovic and kept rest of squad we have

After reading Ed002's new update on our page it seems clear that Arda won't be joining. I also read on the Arsenal page that Ed said that Draxler would possibly be available. If Cuadrado is moved on already this summer, what would people think about a move for Draxler? Still very young and tremendously talented. Him and Traore as back up to our starting 3 behind the striker looks good to me.
Shame it doesn't seem like Chelsea are actually interested. It's just some food for thought since not many wingers/attacking midfielders are available.

Draxler is a quality player but very injury prone. Griezmann for me.

Has to be griezmann! Equally as good out wide, up front or behind the striker

You guys think Griezmann would be good in a possession style of play? I'm not so sure myself.

We're not a possession style of play team. Mourinho prefers to counter especially away from home. Griezmann would be ideal for that.

Griezmann can rotate & adapt to most styles of play, atletico play with high intensity & get players behind the ball when in possession, he's got to be the priority target for me this summer

Draxler as others have said has big issues with injuries and I feel like he's not quite a winger and not quite a #10. I think moreso than counter attack or possession style winger, he's a winger that carries a major goal threat which is what we really need. Overall I think he is very tactically flexible so that he would be able to perform well in many styles.
