Just wondering if any of you guys on here could enlighten me to the news of board meeting taking place tommorrow. Where was this annoced because I can't find it anyway or is it a Chinese whisper that's got out of hand. Also if it is true does anyone know what it's about?

Everyone here is saying Rafa isn't to blame due to fitness and a thin squad, but I believe he is 90% to blame, the board being the other 10%. Saying he's tactically no good I think is a bit too nice. It's more like he's got no common sense. Subsitions are woeful, the timing and players he switches. Constantly playing the same team, when we do have the youth to bury into for a game or so to give our main players a rest. Players like Ake, Marin, Ferreira, Benyoun could all play against the lower side teams. Even people like Feruz, Ake, Louftus-Cheek would play their socks off if they had a first team chance. Sorry about the long post but these are my opions on the club this year. Hope Roman get rid of Rafa and his advisors between now and the end of the season, and next season bring in a manager who's given a proper chance to bring stability to the club. Otherwise I fear without stability not only will no manger want to manage our club but players will also not want too join. The only time we sign a player will be because of money. Don't know about you but I want player who want to play for the club. Passion and heart.

Newcastle fan but i've had a soft spot since Mourinho. Can't help but think if any other, permanent, chelsea manager had the run of results Benitez has had then they'd have been sacked twice. I personally thought he was there to warm Guardiola's seat but now that door's closed there must be someone lined up for summer? Just interested if you lot have heard anything?

The last 2 or 3 managers are all to blame, Torres should have been got rid of ages ago, not performed at all, think Abramovich had a big say on hom staying imo, whos going to want the job now, that's why Guardiola didn't want to come.

Rubbish! What last 2 or 3 managers to blame? Did you realize Anceloti didn't want Torres, neither did AVB nor RDM? He's just an untouchable Abromovic pet. Stability (the lack of it) is our main problem. The board have made certain wrong decisions. We dnt have a strong XI, let alone a bench. It's ridiculous.

Always afraid of the elephant in the room it seems. The last 2 or 3 managers are to blame, really? When will Chelsea fans grow a pair of balls and admit Roman is also part of the problem. It's pathetic the way everybody else is blamed and ye fear mentioning the unmentionable. All credit to him for the money and success he has contributed to Chelsea this past decade but come on for gods sake. If he left the running of the team to the manager (like he should have with Mourinho) who knows what might have been achieved.

The board at cfc stinks they are absolute useless they are the ones to blame for this mess at cfc why did they let all these players go out on loan we needed players like de bruyne, lukaku, essien etc as squad men our squad also needed adding to last window with at least two more additions but no emenalo, gourlay and co did nothing about it because they are not proper football people they knew the squad was weak and tired and would struggle but ignored the situation all I can say roman these men will and are hurting cfc and the fans with clueless decisions if I was you roman get a grip of these muppets now and get shut and bring proper footy people in and you might salvage this sinking ship we have become i'm sure benitez would not be here if it wasnt for them fools. We all keep falling back on the idea we are in transition but in actual fact we basically have the same players playing as previous seasons. What we need is stability in managerial terms and someone directing abramovich who actual knows about football. We need to find our own identity and not try to emulate what barcelona do. I don't think us fans help the situation by booing rafa, but he insulted our club and its fan base. RDM got sacked even though his record was better than rafa's. Under RDM I actually thought we where making slow but steady progress with a manager who was loved by the fans. As well as all this I don't think the current squad is anywhere near good enough. Too many players are not performing to there high standards that they have set over the last few seasons. I think the three players that play behind the striker do not give us enough width. Hopefully we can get fourth spot in league and make some serious changes in the summer.
Rafa out and replaced by mourinho as I don't actually think anyone else would want the job due to us going through managers like there going out of fashion.
Torres to be sold and replaced by falcao or cavani.
Lukaku. de bruyne and courtois coming back from loan.
Mata moving out left wing with hazard going right.
Bring in lsco to challenge oscar for CAM.
A solid player like fellaini to play CDM with either ramires or mikel.
Hiddink to come in as advisor to roman.
Just my ideas, not everyones cup of tea but would like to have peoples ideas.

Pleased to see a rational arguement as to why we are in the mess we are in. This summer will be like too many other recent summers - looking for a new manager (Rafa will never be the right man at Chelsea). He will eventually be appointed and then he will want to 'assess' the current squad strength before deciding what if anybody is needed. If we had continuity, our needs would be obvious to the manger, and then in a properly run club, the board would try to support him financially in obtaining the right players for the team. Last summer's spending was a classic of incompetent people buying good players but not creating a good team - in fact they created an unbalanced team. Marin, then Hazard, then Osacar, when what we needed was Falcao, Fellaini and Dembele. Remember the thrashing Althetico gave us at the end of August - they ploughed through our midfield because it was physically light weight. Must get it right this summer -the way things are going there may not be a Champions League place to offer players, but we want ambitious and hungry players who will be given a chance. Watch Borussia Dortmund to see what can be done

As Much has I don't want Rafa at chelsea because I think he his inept and makes terrible mistakes, the mess we are in now is down to the board and the players.

Roman has been poorly advised by the board and we are now in free fall.

Yeah roman has been led straight up the garden path. The only thing now is to stick with rafa although I hate him he is shocking and makes mistake etc but who else is going to come now. Saying that roman and advisers should Have strengthened squad. No matter who is manager the team Needs players. Sissoko cost 1.8m?players who can dig deep are players we need. Why are there no youth players getting chance as we are such a small Squad.

My hope is that we get 4th. Finish season bring back Jose and get him to buy for squad. We need courtios number 1 although cech was 100times better than turnbull we need de bruyne back lukaku back. french league producing some great players we should look there.

I think all on here can agree one thing: our squad is thin. Given that a top four finish is a priority, we have to rest players like Mata and Oscar (and as many others as possible!) for Europa League Thursday night stuff. We must play those promising youngsters we haven't sent out loan along with fringe players like Ferreira and Benayoun.

When you look at everything, and take it all into consideration (fans reaction, results, form etc), Rafa is arguably one of the worst managerial postings in the history of the Premier League. I desperately want him out of the club, but there is no one else to come in for the short term! Realistically any posting would have to be internal and the whole back room staff needs a shakeup (except Eva). Terry as player manager, or something similar; is that really an option?

We need to batter down the hatches till the summer and pray that when the season is over there isn't too much damage! Offer fourth place, nothing else, right now and the club should bite your hand off!

It saddens me to see my beloved Blues in such a sad state! We can blame the manager but bottom line is we are simply too thin. The board have crippled us! Had nobody to bring off bench to change game in our favour. We need a world class striker as in my opinion Ba is a great #2 and Torres is simply useless! We need at least 1 CB who can run faster than a child and steel in our midfield and 1 more wide option winger. Sad, it really is as we simply see 4th slowly fading away. Shame on the board for putting club in this position. Hopefully Roman cleans it up and starts us off fresh this summer. Somehow will have to stomach final few months. I can only pray that when we get Luiz, Mikel, and Hazard we will have enough to hold on.

Refs genuinely hate us cisse and coloccini should have been sent off. Cabaye kicking the ball away loads of fouls doesn't get a yellow and mata does a little trip and he gets a yellow. Don't know why you would play terry in an important game when he's play around 10 minutes in 2 months. Sick of Bertrand playing out on the left when he clearly doesn't know what he's doing. One sub on the 41st minute and doesn't bring anyone else on ****in stupid silly c***.

Any of them is better than Bertrand playin lw. Benayoun may have been injured but he is still a good player. Marin is good but hadn't been given much of a chance I don't get how people can say sell him when he never gets a chance to even prove people wrong. He was poor vs brentford but every Chelsea player was poor so why don't we sell them all if that's how people are going to judge players?

I thought Oscar was fantastic today, looked good going forward and his defense work was superb. Cech made such a poor parry away to Sissoko for their second goal. Seems like powerful CM's this season have won games against us (Diami and Sissoko). Disappointing but after the Ba incident it never looked like the gods were on our side.
